Thanks for the video Andreas! You are a really skilful communicator who explains things so clearly and simply. Yes to the video on counterspinning off a topspin on push please!
EXCELLENT !! I have downloaded 000s of videos, but this one immediately struck me as being a very clear and simple explanation of this games most popular and important shot.....not forgetting it all starts from the feet!! Beginers and improvers, please study and practise this video...
In my opinion I have found an answer to my question about countering the Topspin. I usually counter it by blocking but from now on I will start countering it by Topspinng as you have taught. I will tell you how it effects my game. Thanks for th video, Andreas! I appreciate it. Thumbs up! Cheers!
@AndreasLevenko I I just took a glance of your playing against Patrick Granseska while I was scrolling down and would like to watch it but kept on scrolling down and lost that video. Are you a professional table tennis player? I saw you playing in the highest level just backhanding.
Great job!!! A very detailed explanation Thank you very much. It's very hard to find good coach's in Brazil and you can show us a very detailed tutorial with a good english. Can you teach us how to counter topspin close to the table? I can see that it's a very common shot in modern table tennis. Once again, thank you for your great job
Thank you for this, really useful videos, and insights (eg one about mental mindset and breathing). If you ever get a chance, would you please do a video on returning fast top spin serve with side spin? I could only receive by guiding it during doubles and mostly the ball flies out due to not closing the racket. Thank you 🙏
Thank you for the Video I already counterspin but without correct technique I will practice the feeling for my underarm today💪🏻 Can you Tell me how i can predict or react faster to people who play close to the table and Kick? A Training Partner from me Flips and Kicks Everything close to the table with Placements that I cant See. I feel to Slow when i react to the ball then im often Late out of Position and he does the Point . And do I have to react or predict in general? And what is about positioning is there a rule where I should stay when ?
Easy Little Solution, Remove your hand faster after every shot. Don’t let it in front of you for too long. Get it back immediately after every shot to get back faster and play more spinny balls to make him miss more 😊👍 Maybe even try out higher tracectory in your shots so he will need to go back off the table faster 💪🏓
Hi Andreas - thank you very much for your wonderful videos. Which version of the Hurricane Long V blade do you use (commercial/Golden/National player version W968/any other ...)? Thank you
thank u for this helpful tutorial Andreas!! I have a question (off topic) how did u get sponsored by DHS (and li ning) and how does ur rubbers feels compared to what we mortal amateurs can buy :D If u gon' play at WTT Feeder Cappadocia i'll definitely be there!!!
Hey 😊 I remember 6 years ago I was the Number 1 in the U21 World Ranking and I got the offer…Recently Li Ning bought DHS and they offered me the Deal 👍😁
Hi Andreas! Thank you for sharing your knowledge, it's very important for amateurs like me) Could you make a video about exercises which people can use to gain more power and speed in TT?
Andreas, thank you for the great tutorial - as usual, it's very useful! A small question from a left-hander - I see you already use some neutral side-free terms (like forehand side, backhand topspin) in your videos (which I really like), however, you still spend some time to comment on the difference in technique/execution for left-handers vs right-handers, like "transition your weight to the right leg", etc, which is great by the way, as we are the minority :) Based solely on my perception as a watcher (so the others may disagree) - what do you think about adding even more side-neutral terms, like "move you front leg", "use core muscles from forehand side" etc. so it's easier to translate for a player that watches your videos, regardless of the hand they use?
Hey Fred 😊 First of all it’s cool that you are a left handed player. I am jealous 😁 I would love to be a left hander too ! Thank you so much for your feedback, I will implement it in the next videos for sure 👍👍
I do agree with this effective offensive rather than use block, yet it is not effective. However, obviously, not all amateur players can do it. Habit and practicing are the main key.
Well my problem never was really to play the counter topspin.. My problem is still: The real Match situation, where I don't know where the ball is comming... Technically it isn't that hard after a while... But how to guess how I have to position myself.... A good opponent can decide where he want to play his topspin ... So which topspin should I counter spin, how do I know early enough where I have to position myself? Sometimes it is even hard to find a good position for a block...
Hey I recommend you to just be patient and let your subconscious do it for you 😁👍 After a while of practicing and training your body will find the position automatically, trust me it is a process that will come by yourself 🤝🧘♂️
You probably wanted to say for the extra power, use your forearm loose as a whip. For the hip rotation, I liked the parallel I heard once with baseball. Try to pitch a ball with strength... What is your body naturally doing movig backwards on the right side and by releasing the movement all forward, you feel the transfer. Try to throw that ball and force yourself restraining your body to stay in normal position while trying to pitch... It will look a bit ridiculous. In the end it s the perfect example to understand then efficiency of the hip motion.

You give me better tips than my coaches in the club
I am sure your coaches in the club try their best too 🙏🏼
Hey Andreas one question, I saw here and also on Singapore Smash, why are you using red hurricane with orange sponge on fh now?
Hey, that tournament sadly
Didn’t go my way… :(
I feel it’s more elastic and it makes more fun for me right now 😁
@@AndreasLevenko Oh I see that makes sense, so do you use the 38 hardness and 41 still just 38 on fh and 41 on bh?
nice video what shoes do you use or maybe make a video about shoes
Prototype Li Ning Shoes 😁🏓
Can you teach us your pendulum and hook serve?
Sure ! Good idea 💪

Can you explain difference between forehand topspin against long push and topspin against normal push) how we must correct our shot
What do you exactly mean ? 😊👍
@@AndreasLevenkoHi, great video, tell me please, your sparring partner does play forehand rubber DHS Hurricane 3 Neo?
@@AndreasLevenkoHi, great video, tell me please, your sparring partner does play forehand rubber DHS Hurricane 3 Neo?
Isn’t just footwork adjustment. Also a push is underspin; counter topspin works on either a topspin or a drive. Different biomechanics.
💪💪💪

Hey thank you for watching 😁 I use W968 Golden Version 👍👍
Great video! Yes please a video on countertop spin against downspin chop 😍
Will do!!👍🏓
You must do slow spinny loop
thank u for this helpful tutorial Andreas!! I have a question (off topic) how did u get sponsored by DHS (and li ning) and how does ur rubbers feels compared to what we mortal amateurs can buy :D If u gon' play at WTT Feeder Cappadocia i'll definitely be there!!!

Nobody says nothing about "beninging joke" XD. Nice video!
Hahaha yes true 😂
Heimi:))). Still can do some forehand top top:)
Axaxax )) Heimi number 1 ! 😁👍
Andreas, which rubbers better defend topspin-sticky or non sticky( tensor)?
Sticky is the best for sure if you’re a defender 🏓👍💪

Could you make a video about exercises which people can use to gain more power and speed in TT?

Beningings are always hard 😂

Could you make a forehand topspin for pros add more spin and power, using the fingers and so on
Yes for sure 😊👍
can you do countersign when there is not sufficient space behind. I play where there is just about 6-7 feet left behind
Sure just try to it on the table instead 😁👍
Danke Andreas👌👌👍🏓🏓
Sehr gerne 🙏🏼🏓
Can you make a video on how to become a pro, what is the journey from beginning till you reach pro, in depth would be nice. Thanks
Ok for sure ! Very good idea 🤝
@AndreasLevenko 💪💪😢
Sir can you please tell how can I do serve like a professional player
Watch my Service Tutorial 😁🤝

Yes just keep practicing 💪🏓
Let's goo
Let’s gooo 💪
Btw yes please for the counter against slow spinny loops from chop or long push
What shoes are those and where can you get them?
Li Ning Prototype Test shoes, not ready for sale yet 😁🙏🏼
good video. my question: why do you always say beninging?
Thank you, because of the funny meme video, try to find in the beninging on TH-cam 😁🙏🏼
It's "beginning", not "beningin" btw
2nd video with this mistake
It’s a meme Easter egg that I always place for fun 😁 type in “in the beninging” on TH-cam search to have a little laugh 😁👍
I believe the correct word for the "underarm" term you use in the video should be "forearm".
Still, very good video. Thank you!
Oh ! Thank you so much 😅 I didn’t know haha 👍👍

The question is absolutely not block OR counter spin: you block close to the table, you counter spin away from the table.
¿Right abdominal? ¿Are you sure?
Yes and hip 👍
Too much talk
Thanks for the feedback will try to do less next time 😊
I will practise this, but you need to practise how to say beginning. 2 times u butcher this word.
