We talk about vande Bharat which is good but what about it's average speeds We talk about 100% electrification which is good but what about 4,000+ diesel locos which are currently in service. We talk about new trains but what about services of existing trains. We talk of vande metro but often ignore shut down of local and intercity trains. We talk of safety measures taken but the recent developments show the different picture We talk of DFCs but has the railway's share in freight transportation increased? Thing changed in railway are- general cleanliness(not to world class standards but manageable) and digitalisation .
If we look at the budget, even the BJP ignored the railways in the initial years. Now they are working to improve the Railways but to be fair still at lot of effort needs to be put in.
You should have also focused on the drawback under the present government. Like failing to meet the deliveries in many sectors, including delay in implementing Kavach, delay in bullet train project completion, delay in vande bharat rollouts, and many more.

It is impossible to install kavach in one go. We would completed 10,000 km by next year, which is basically almost entire Europen rail length. So, Kavach will take 3-4 years minimum. For Bullet train, reason is entirely political. The earlier Maharashtra govt almost scrapped the project for 2.5 years, that followed by covid. VB rollout is pretty good. We already have 55 Vande Bharats in 5 years. Compare that with some 40 odd Rajdhanis in 70 years.

Ask railways officials they will tell you real truth . Bullet train was first proposed by madhav rao Sandhya and Rajiv Gandhi in late 80s . Janta dal ( today’s bjp) . Didn’t support it. So introduced todays rajdhani And even today congress has not put a single hurdle before bullet train project till now . Simply because country is above these politics. If you don’t believe me . Biggest hurdle to bullet train project was put by shiv sena . If eknat sindhe saheb didn’t come in power then this project would have gone down the drain. Just metros in Mumbai . after eknat shinde saheb came to finish
We need Vande Bharat Max for 200kmph and Vande Bharat Max Pro for 250kmph. They should use data from Vande Bharat for R&D and keep rolling target for prototype respectively by 2027 and 2030.
India is no where equal to china in railway. Foringer coming to india railway station and train looks like vintage old british trains .all state capital in india should be connected using upgraded version of rails like rapid x with average speed of 220 kmph top speed 260 kmph .new railway station like rapid x will represent india in international standards.
