Lo mejor de todo es que cantaban bien, pero al productor se le ocurrió esta farsa que los hizo renunciar a nada más y nada menos que un Grammy. Ellos fueron la verdadera cara visible y víctimas de todo, pobrecitos 😢

The music that proceeded from the real singers and musicians was phenomenal. Never regretted any $ I spent on tapes or concert tickets. Loved the music! Saddened when it stopped.
I love the way they have authentically merged both performances with the original backing singers' rendition seamlessly in synergy with the Milli Vanilli performance. Not fake but funky finesse..🤔😎
The music was and always has been great. These guys were no different than actors in a movie, They brought the energy and charisma needed to sell the songs. Frank should have specified that they were the visual performers from the beginning. The grammy should have never been taken away and instead given to Brad Howell and Charles Shaw/John Davis.
The difference between an actor and Rob and Fab is the actor is actually performing his/her craft, whereas MV was not. If FF would have came out from the start and said they were visual performers it wouldn't have blown up like it did. While music was a visual medium in the 80s, people still wanted to hear singers sing. There's no need to defend Rob and Fab, they made their bed and they slept in it. It's sad that Rob ended his life, he never knew how loved he was even after the scandal.
The songwriting was spectacular. I know so many people (Me included) who were listening during that time period who don't even normally listen to R&B or Hip Hop who still loved these songs. I had their album next to my 80's hard rock albums.
That of which WAS going to happen with Milli Vanilli's new Back and In Attack album, which was slated for a 1998 release. That was until Rob's sad untimely death killed that notion though. 🙁

Well Fab and Rob's stage performance was breath taking. They brought so much energies on stage. Back in late 80's Leif Garret was same thing, lip sync with his georgous looks. Fans adored him.
This is wonderful. Should have created the band like this from the beginning and have Rob & Fab perform their dancing moves along with backing vocals. C’mon Pepsi & Shirlie from Wham! did it and it worked. Even Andrew lip synched. And when I see these types of performances it also reminded me of Earth, Wind & Fire so I’m sure leaving the deception apart, it could have worked.
It's actually ironic to read some of the comments here... it makes me wonder. Comparing the Milli Vanilli case with Martha Wash, the points of view are completely different and opposing. Remember when Martha Wash had to sue Black Box and C+C Music Factory for vocal credits because they replaced her with lip-sync models without her consent just because of her weight ? Everyone got so angry and upset that they didn't want to let Martha appear on the music videos because of her weight and they praise her so much saying that she deserves all the credit, ect. And I completely agree with that! Awesome, really never seen or heard them in that way. They definately had the choreography down unfortunately their voices were not considered marketeble. In many ways music has not changed because even now people buy the image that the artist portrays and more often than not it is not real. It's sad to see what people do for greed and in the process they destroyed these young mens lives.
Here in México, We have a group called "Caló" composed of 1 singer, 2 female backup singers/dancers and 2 male dancers (that occasionally added some voices). They were a treat to watch because of all the energy the 2 singers and the male dancers had back in the day. They could have done that with Milli Vanilli and be a total success. Sadly, they went for the phony route, and didn't end well for Rob. :(

Milli Vanilli is one my favorite, I love all the song. I was in High School then, im 50 now and still love to hear music of them. Fab and Rob became famous and known as Milli Vanilli, but the real Milli Vanilli is behind their voice. Both of them are really doing great.

@@luiszapata8666 ] eles nao imitavam isso se chama dublagem i e uma profissão ! na verdade nao sei porque tanto ignorância com eles todos nessa época dublavam suas musicas em seus shows tipo Britney Spears, Madonna , Prince, etc porque a voz dos vídeos rádios onde vc ouvia tinha muitos efeitos e nao tem como reproduzir isso ao vivo principalmente nesse estilo de musica o que importava era a aparência e sem aparência nao eram nada por isso os estilos tao extravagantes que se usavam nessa época tudo era mentira se vc for olhar direito e pesquisar ! eles eram incríveis foram contratado para ser a cara da banda porque sem eles a banda e suas musicas nao fariam sucesso so fizeram o trabalho deles e muito bem!! a verdadeira historia deles e comovente acharam que estavam fazendo o certo e de repente foram tratados como farsantes isso ate levou um deles a morte isso foi tudo culpa do empresario deles e da banda que aceitaram fazer isso com o empresario eles nao sao vitimas sao aproveitadores depois que as musicas chegaram ao topo e descobriram eles se beneficiaram disso e a culpa sempre cai nos mais fracos como sempre porque ninguém fala da banda ? porque do mesmo jeito que eles estavam dublando os cara de pau estavam cantando escondidos! eles nao tiveram culpa nem uma essa e a verdade! o culpado por tudo e do empresario e da bamba que segui ganhando dinheiro sem problema nem um! isso e um absurdo!há e rob pilatus cantava e fazia break dance e fab morvan canta de verdade e perfeito e so conferir, o empresario nunca os deixou cantar . ! dai a depreçao por tudo iso consumiu rob e o levou ao suicídio... quando os fracos vao ter chance de vencer nesse mundo hipócrita que vivemos? quando vao acordar pessoas? isso e muito triste...😔

Awesome, really never seen or heard them in that way. They definately had the choreography down unfortunately their voices were not considered marketeble. In many ways music has not changed because even now people buy the image that the artist portrays and more often than not it is not real. It's sad to see what people do for greed and in the process they destroyed these young mens lives.

Here in México, We have a group called "Caló" composed of 1 singer, 2 female backup singers/dancers and 2 male dancers (that occasionally added some voices). They were a treat to watch because of all the energy the 2 singers and the male dancers had back in the day.
They could have done that with Milli Vanilli and be a total success. Sadly, they went for the phony route, and didn't end well for Rob. :(
Seriously the real milli vanilli could put them two rob & fab as visual dancers back then like sia did with maddie ziegler it would represent the flow of the music band in one & everyone would be happy!

Creo que tuvo que ver qué Farian tratara de hacerse de una carrera, que si éxito fuera medio y le dijeran que era por su imagen que no tenía presencia, se quedó con la idea de que para hacer algo debia ser sumamente estético pero si tienes razón la historia pudo ser mejor para todos
Milli Vanilli is one my favorite, I love all the song. I was in High School then, im 50 now and still love to hear music of them. Fab and Rob became famous and known as Milli Vanilli, but the real Milli Vanilli is behind their voice. Both of them are really doing great.
