I was considering one of these until I found out how much the kits for the 500 hour and 1000 hour maintenance cost. The 500 hour kit is $800 and the 1000 hour maintenance kit is almost $1500! And it spirals up after that. I realize that's a lot of hours but woah!

Looks like these Alkin units have some pedigree to them, and build quite an array of compressors for the world markets including the Military ( across the pond, mostly )
I think that this one would benefit from a more sound proofing canopy Rick,...protect your ears, and get that decibel rating lowered.
Incidentally, I didn't see a decibel rating anywhere for this noisy machine on Alkin website ( which you'll find is quite impressive )

The pressure in the gauge never dropped after all the valves were opened and the compressor was shut off?
Is that normal? I would have liked to see him remove the hose from the tank with the gauge still reading that it had prseeure in it.

But have used a Hand Pump that works but that is a disgrace as I bought the Nomad to save time and fatigue of course.
Question have a Nomad 11 PCP Compressor,have a MaxAir 25 Cal plus FX Monsoon 22 Cal Nomad will not fill the PCP to pressure 250 bar at all will only fill to 170 bar.Have tried everything with Zero luck have u any ideas.

Try testing the compressor with the full stop in the hose. If it fills to the right pressure to then you may have a leak that is leaking faster than it can fill. Also, how often and with what are you lubricating the compressor.

@@AirGunWeb Have tried 2 Nomads one at the Gun shop same outcome will not fill to 250 bar at all.Will not even go in the Green or the red which of course is 250 bar
Rick guy now have six airguns and Counting I'm looking at all the Chinese junk that's for sale everywhere and I really hate to throw my money that way I think the Alcan would be nice but it's a little more than I need what would you suggest what is the best of the worst I guess I'm asking
