At the world pokemon championship, a huge move update was announced. This includes nerfing super strong moves like wing attack, counter, and steel wing. It also reduces the switch clock from 60 to 50 seconds.
This week is Master League and Psychic Cup. Psychic Cup is a single typing great league that only allows pokemon with a psychic typing to complete.
Taking a look at the best accessible strong pokemon for the great league
I think Drifblim has been pretty solid in this meta as well with astonish buff
Great video idea! Would love to see more budget-related vids
Another interesting budget option along the lines of Arctibax and Zweilous is Hakamo-o. Rank #42 in GL (as of yesterday), no legacy moves, and most builds won't need XLs, though that depends on the exact IVs. I just finished building mine and it hit the CP cap at exactly level 40. I'm planning on using it on a team with Arctibax, though I'm still trying to work out what to put in the third spot. I'm thinking Toxapex to cover fairies, but I'm not sure if poison/water is the best coverage to go alongside Arctibax & Hakamo-o. Ah, man, I'm really itching for GL to come back lol
Anyway, from one Dan to another, I love your content. It's my go-to background content for when I'm at work and need something to listen to. You've definitely helped me to improve my team-building skills, and made me more confident in my battling abilities. Thank you for taking the time to make all these videos!
My mom taught me not to judge a book by its cover in using Delibird and Dunsparce to beat the gym leaders, elite four and the legendaries during gameboy color days in Silver. They have always been good as well as murkrow (original mandibuzz)
Hey dan, great video as always. I will say it would have been cool to see some full teams made of these easier to obtain pokemon but overwall was a great watch
Dunsparce is one of my chosen GL team members that I’ve gotten powered up since almost 2 weeks ago since I saw all of the positives that you pointed out.
Your team building advice very often has me seeing which Pokemon are valuable before you even call them out, so thx for that Dan.
I’d love to have a powered up Clodsire for the GL but I’m perfectly fine and happy running Dunsparce with two other meta Pokemon for great coverage, bulk, safety and consistency. It should be a great time but we’ll see what happens.
I’ve been keeping my Shadow Sandslash Alolan too in anticipation of using it in the GL but I don’t have it’s frustration charged move removed so that sucks there goes that option until another Team Rocket event happens.
I’ve learned more from you in the past couple months and have gotten to Ace. Thank you so much!
venusaur i feel is super under rated this season
I tried it and idk how to feel about it, it charges kinda slow and doesnt have the bulk to do that
But you gonna need frenzy plant, I don’t have elite Tm :(
I think you neglected to name super power coming from Malamar, who everyone just built for psy cup, as a “fighting” threat to Dunsparce.
I thought about that too but you’ll know if they’re using Superpower if they use it right away since it takes a little less to charge it than Foul Play even if they’re using Psycho Cut, but of course they can and will charge up their moves more than that which you’ll not be able to know which charged move they’re running.
That’s gonna definitely be one of Dunsparce’s toughest opponents and is also one of his key losses as shown on PVPoke which obviously makes sense.
It’s good but ideally you want shields down, as super rebuffs you and foul play is a costly “bait” move
@@RealizmYT Good points which I will take into consideration when using him.
This video is just gonna make fighting types more meta so which will make some flyers meta
Which makes ice and rock stronger. And I think you're going to see more fairies before flyers after the wing attack nerf.
Dan!!!! Love your videos bro, thanks for this GEM!!!
welp, dunno about you guys but i've spent an elite TM on my sandslash to give it shadow claw and i'm not going to remove it now just because the current meta says that i shoud.
você não precisa remover, mas acho que vacilou em não ter feito pelo menos um sandslash com powder snow
Build a second one with powder snow
As I said I another TH-cam comment section, I have 4, I long predicted having multiple Sandslash would be appropriate in case Shadow Claw ever got nerfed.
I have 2 non shadow, and 2 shadow all top PvP Iv ranked
Exactly lol i just built a second one as it's pretty cheap to build
I have two sandslashes and four exact rolls with different combos for this exact reason
How does a team rank go down one grade in coverage within an hour when it was a B and went down to C when I had Dunsparce as part of my team? Wth, does that mean someone or some move that they have just got nerfed.
I took a screenshot an hour ago before it happened and now suddenly it’s down one letter grade for coverage. That’s pretty annoying.
Well guess what I do not have dunsparce !!! 😭😭 but I do hv a gastro tho
Gastrodon really doesn't look impressive as Dan showcased it. Actually if he's low enough you can just farm him down with a Talonflame as the slaps are resisted and the body slams are not doing much.
@@fujinowaka89 my personal option of gastro is its overrated. Its way more useful mudboi with way better moves.
@@fujinowaka89Dan has a tendency to over react to his initial impressions of a Pokémon with just one team comp. In this case, he's right but only because it was obvious to anyone that Gastrodon was too one dimensional and in real battles people were not going to shield the nerfed Body Slam baits that Gastrodon needed to be rated that high anyways.
@@omarholder9036 well, that's why I argued not just with Dan's reaction but with actual matches. When I see a 30% fit Gastrodon I'm very happy to bring on Talonflame which is a fire type - which isn't exactly a compliment to Gastrodon
Dan can you review TOGETIC!!! TOGETIC is fairy wind user and can spam aierial ace. Ive had some auccess with it but kind of hard to huild around. Review TOGETIC please!!!
Awesome video. I'm totally on board building budget Pokémon, since I can't afford to power up legendaries presently.
On a side note. I found a new typing chart I can wrap my head around that INCLUDES resistances, and it's already yielding positive results in the form of 5-0s
You where in a vid right?
I was in 2 😅
@@apexarms5737 oh yeah lol i forgot the other one lol i have been in 1 currently
Wtf was this sentence
I do understand the problem with the lack of fighting type this season like Machamp is good Mon but in order to work one needs to apply to Elite TM’s… that’s to much… Dewgong and Seaking are 2 that many players already did am the result in the long wrong have mixed results! Lol
I don’t know I like Primeape as a fighter!
i agree. i wouldnt say its not worth spend two elites on it. One yes.
for a fighter: i would úse Pangoro in gbl over machamp
@@ThomasoElg if you have one yes go for it! But as this game is designed to make you spend money, Walk around, or go around am take the back road! Lol
We all must work with what we have or can get! Good Luck on your games!
Dan, why are you letting my Dunsparce secret out? Even before the rollout buff, Dunsparce was sometimes the secret sauce on my teams. I don't want everyone catching on. :)
Worst kept secret ever Honestly
Dunsparce is far from secret this season.
Awesome sauce video
You must trade pangoro…yes.. and you will see how many players DID trade to get it, last ultra rotation nearly every team had it
For great league you have to trade it
i'd think that most ultra league pangoros around have 10+ attack.
Don’t worry in like a year they’ll allow Pancham to spawn in the wild so everyone can finally build easy GL Pangoros then they will proceed to immediately nerf Karate Chop right after so it’s completely garbage 😂
@@Forged4War206 watch it comes in the wild for halloween event.
I know there’s only 1 day left of Psycic cup, what’s your analysis of hidden power Bug on Solosis? I have one that’ll power up to 49.5
That's some straight capsaicin level spice there.
@@gm-zf8nq Dark Vader! Turn Malamar in to popcorn 🍿super sweaty 🥵
How is clodsire in first and second lol
I didn't look, but multiple move sets. One might have stone edge while the other has earthquake
@@sp00g37 both have earthquake, first has sludge bomb, second has stone edge
@@austinsroche I gotchu, same difference
What teams can be created from these? (Also, Drapion is not accessible. I have only seen 2 since April.)
Poison Rocket grunts have it regularly the last 2 seasons. 🤔
Hey
