After just arriving home from this event, I have come to one conclusion. No matter where you sit, or how early you get there, somebody will always block you view either with their phone or their massive fat head.

Somebody who's totally honest,that would be my luck if I went,pay all that money and time to get there and it would be spoiled by inconsiderate people,if I was lucky enough to get too the IOM,I wouldn't be interested in filming on a mobile,I would just enjoy the moment,at least watching on the TV nobody blocks my view with they're mobile or big head😄love yer honesty mate! my great uncle is fred cook he raced in the 1955 isle of man tt as a rep of new zealand. he still kicking and alive to this day in his 90s. he lost his brother my other great uncle bob cook back in those days on the aintree circuit. i love hearing from my grandfather and his brother what it was like during the isle of man races in 1955 and such a inspirational story of 3 brothers racing.
The Speed at which these riders go is just unbelievable....They definitely have titanium plums for sure. The sad part is that a few do crash and die every year.

I am so sorry to say this, but I am an ex biker and loved this sport but I cannot watch this any more. It scares the living hell out of me. That’s not to say it bad, it’s an awesome sport with skill beyond belief. It just scares me, I got as far as 1.48 before pause. Good luck and be safe to all riders and spectators. You all have my utmost respect.
I understand precisely what you mean. I used to race bikes when I was 20 years old and at that time the prospect of racing the TT was safer than what I did when I rode the streets - I am so lucky to be alive and in one piece. I bought a bike in my forties and only rode at 60% on the roads. I still have that bike (Triumph Daytona 955i) but rarely ride it these days. However, selling it would be tantamount to admitting I am to old and knackered! But I find watching closed street racing quite frightening and can't believe I once rode on the limit on roads myself and trusted to luck.
Absolutely gutted i couldn't make the TT this year but luckily im able to make the Classic, winning is amazing but the main thing is coming home, Absolutely love the IOM and i hope it never gets watered down but it's always heartbreaking hearing about riders who have passed away, RIP Mark

God bless them all who ride this amazing road, my first visit was in 1979 and it was a lot more dangerous then, the safety has improved so much, but it’s a dangerous sport as any other is, my ex husband has raced solo and sidecar and it truly is exciting, condolences to all the brave riders who have lost their lives over the years 🙏🏻❤️

Fantastic to hear the various engine configerations,sadly we hear less n less on MGP telecasts.Even when the on bike camera views are shown, there's a lot of commentators chatting over the pure sounds of throttle control.
I feel like the TT will in line to be health and safetied off any time soon with the way things are now, especially with the amount of crashes and it being a street circuit with no barriers etc. Health and safety pretty much runs Europe.
Fricken unbelievable that the crash area at :15 is not protected with soft barriers, at least a row of hay bales instead of the solid rock wall that the guy punched head on into . Seems stupid not to have something along that sweep corner, it could save a life not to mention it just totalled off that guys front end possibly full motorcycle.
Although it's a very different activity, this is the nearest thing we have today to the Gladiators from the height of the Roman Empire. When you went into the colosseum you knew there was a very good chance you wouldn't be coming back, exactly the same situation here.

Marshalls were slow in that first clip. Yellow flag should be out before the next rider got there. Running for the flag, then fumbling to unfurl it.
