Myron is very principled, consistent, and trustworthy. i’d rather be friends with someone with those traits and opposing beliefs than vice versa

Destiny may be right about there not being a racial/ethnic difference, but Ukrainians heavily believe they are their own separate ethnicity from Russians on a cultural basis. Orc doesn’t just refer to the invading soldiers, it’s a term for Russian people in general.
It only justifies Russia's actions more by saying this slur

Self sabotage is a thing a lot of people including me struggle with. Like I have never had issues with substance abuse but my parents have. I used to really look down on those types of people like you are doing this shit for no reason that you know is bad for you. I do other things to self sabotage though and at the end of the day it is basically the same thing and I am no better than them. I will have some super important thing the next day that is a big opportunity and I will just stay up all night wasting time instead of sleeping then miss the thing. I have done this so many times. I think it is like you can't really fail if you didn't show up properly. It is like an excuse to protect your ego.
Definitely a protecting your ego thing. I remember talking with other kids after tests and basically everyone would give the same excuse of “I would’ve done well but i barely studied” when you knew that some of them would’ve done bad no matter what lol

@@dracorant5270 But Vaush wasn't talking to Ukrainians he was talking to his chat which is 99% westerners. I also agree (and Vaush probably would too) that we shouldn't focus so much on Ukrainians occasionally calling Russians orcs, but its kind of cringe when non Ukrainians do it.

Like imagine, youre an Ukranian, you have good reasons to be angry at Russians, some russian soldiers are very brutal and evil, so you call them orcs, soon you call all russian soldiers orcs, then you remember russian soldiers are conscripted and not volunteers for the most part, so theres no real diference between russian soldiers or any russian guy, you are still very justifiably angry, and in a generation orc is just a slur for Russians.
What i think is cringe is how Vaush pretended to never have used orc, or trying to defend ''hog'' not being a slur. Or that calling the burgoise ''pigs'' is not dehumanising, while the type of person that does that is 99% of the time far from seeing them as human.
Then if you are literal, animalisation IS dehumanisation by definition.
