Really I believe that heat dash being plus on block is fine. Heat smash on the other hand needs to be minus on block. Sometimes I wonder why go for heat dash for plus frames if heat smash does it better with the press of a button.
@@kevolini979 because I think that some heat dash moves deal more chip damage than some heatshmash moves for example 3,1 heat dash from Yoshi does more damage on block than his heatsmash it also takes you a lot further to the wall so it is a huge pressure tool that does not belong in a game that already gives you so much for just attacking it’s a free 50/50 tool this game is very noob friendly 🙌🏽 So it’s basically a better smash that deals more damage because if you hit it’s not gonna be 50 damage it’s gonna be 80,90 cause yk heat dash combo plus it pressures your enemy very far to the wall and the more chipdamage thing heatsmash is basically a safe 50/50 with dragonfly mixup and heatdash is a lot better but you have to commit faster cause they can interrupt if you don’t immediately use you’re turn

Heat isn’t going anywhere what they should do is instead of starting each round with full heat gauge. The player should have to build it up so it would be available for use once or maybe twice a set.

man in tekken 7, people use to complain about magic 4 and safe launchers me included. Now i really missed those things because tekken 8 replaced them with brainded power crush heat engagers, heat bs, guard breaks and high crushing generic df2s on some character. they really want you to mash in this game due to how safe and strong strings are and how easy to steal turn in this game.
Power Crush is bs tho. Should be unsafe since it's almost a get out of jail free card. Rage Art / Drive was bs too. T7 was full of scrub sh!t. Tekken 6 gave us built in movement. Now you don't have to dash or SS. The move will do it for you. 7 is when it really got bad for me. 8 is just. Ugh...

Take the tracking off of heat. Force accuracy. Leave ut on timer, but lose it all as soon as yiu use it. No multiple engages, 50 percent or less health to use.
I always enjoyed Tekken 4. I’d like to see it with T8 graphics minus the heat, rage and long juggles. I used to love to use Kazuya’s back fist and stun the opponent and then go for the side step hook he used to have lol.
Aside with complaints regarding heat, everything I hear people putting down T8 for is equally if not more applicable to T7, and I just can't believe people aren't noticing. Like "characters are only using a few moves out of their 100" Like he's gonna get on a high horse and talk about "one launcher and 50/50" when he was happily playing Akuma and Kunimitsu in T7.

I’m at the part of the video where you’re talking about the moves and combos. I think it’s a modern fighting game issue. With the internet people are able to just find the best combo per situation (damage, wall carry, oki etc) so people tend to just do the optimal stuff. The creative stuff usually isn’t optimal or doesn’t leave you in a favorable position. So people tend to use the same moves/strategies
Also Kazuya takes you through the wringer because Kazuya players are usually better at the game than most people who just pick let’s say hwoarang or king lol.

This is a modern gaming thing and it has been going on for over 10 years whether it's a shooter a fighter or a racer they always make this one thing that has to be the end all be all meta in a game and you really and truly don't have any use for anything else. I remember back in 2008-2010s when I first started online gaming on console bottom teir was always able to compete with top teir, or the meta would only give you like a 5% advantage maybe using non meta alternatives would be a little slow or a little inefficient but you definitely could count on it especially when it was never used as much. Back then the meta was never end all be all. Another side note for over a year I stopped looking at reviews and play throughs and guides when playing a new game because hearing about what to do and what to expect from a game you haven't even popped in yet sucks the fun out of the game.

I feel Rage arts ruined tekken 7. They copied mortal kombat, who copied injustice. And in tekken 8, they added the heat system which made the series even worse. I’m more of a defensive player so I’ll stick with tekken 7.

The problem with tekken 8 is the heat system itself. No matter how hard they nerf characters it won’t matter when they enter their broken Heat state and overcome all the nerfs for about 15 seconds. Heat should be a mechanic that you have to manage rather than gifted every round.

I have had that same question for a very long time, whats the point of having so many moves, so many characters even, when only a handful are actually useful/worth using, and if your not a top fighting game player that trying to figure all that out can also be difficult extremely time consuming. just an old guy that has casually been a fighting game fan since SF2 on 16bit and arcade.

If they want to keep all these mechanics then they need to nerf air combos (length and damage wise). Adjust getting up and make it a two player game again in general. That should open up the move lists and get rid of those killer instinct combos (hell even killer instinct had combo breakers, why the hell doesn’t Tekken 8 have it?).

Been saying it and posting it on other videos for a while. Tekken 9 will: Play like Street Fighter: 3-5 unique moves with universal mechanics (50/50s and Rock Paper Scissors) Look like MK with combos like Liu Kangs bicycle kicks input one move get 5 hits. Leroy already has it. (Minimizing execution). Imagine Bryan's Gatlin punches with no execution. And from Tekken you can use movement to position yourself in favorable situations like getting away from the wall but no longer SS whiff punish. We're already halfway there. If we're gonna save Tekken it has to be done now.

theres a new bug where if ur opponent mashes, the servers lag trying to retreive the information causing ur game to stutter. i watched a lot of my replays and recorded a few matches and its when the opponent starts mashes the game can drop all the way down to 10fps. this was a bug in a sfv. at this point this game is just not good and poorly coded and optimized. very noob friendly. heat smash, mixup, launch, ggs. never ending cycle. bring back tekken 7 fundamentals.
@@DeeallthewayG yep. i even tested it with a buddy of mine. we went in a lobby, and when he would punish me id mash into oblivion and i saw his connection icon go red and stay there. he said after that match it forced his graphics down and he's on a 4090 with 128 gig of ram... he went from ultra to low.

I already re-installed Tekken 7 and just bought Sparking Zero. It’s definitely Game Over for Tekken 8 for me, the blind rage and disappointment is not worth it. It’s a shame that after 20+ years since T1 the journey ends here but it is what it is.
Volatile matches are good for the sake of new pro players adapting to tekken 8 strats. Not always there will be arslan ash on top of every tournaments. U want to be on top always adapt to the game. Other players adapt sp why don't you do the same🤦🤦🤦
You cannot adapt to a guessing game, there is no way to do that, if you want consistenly win in a casino fighting game you need no guess, choose a heavy plus on block frame char for not let your opponent put you in a 50/50, and even with that you dont see atif and ulsan winning all fts and tournaments

A pros job is to control the chaos, In T7 It’s much easier to control the chaos because Korean bash - got you out of 90% plus of the mixup situations. This was great for pro players who could KBD Add insane levels, but it made for boring, watch and many times boring to play for any players. I believe the game is unbalanced. Drag, Yoshi, and Devil Jin are broken based on my experience. I used Lidia mainly and when I fought a Devil Jin player I fill in great disadvantage.

So it’s basically a better smash that deals more damage because if you hit it’s not gonna be 50 damage it’s gonna be 80,90 cause yk heat dash combo plus it pressures your enemy very far to the wall and the more chipdamage thing heatsmash is basically a safe 50/50 with dragonfly mixup and heatdash is a lot better but you have to commit faster cause they can interrupt if you don’t immediately use you’re turn

Heat isn’t going anywhere what they should do is instead of starting each round with full heat gauge. The player should have to build it up so it would be available for use once or maybe twice a set.

I’m at the part of the video where you’re talking about the moves and combos. I think it’s a modern fighting game issue. With the internet people are able to just find the best combo per situation (damage, wall carry, oki etc) so people tend to just do the optimal stuff. The creative stuff usually isn’t optimal or doesn’t leave you in a favorable position. So people tend to use the same moves/strategies
Also Kazuya takes you through the wringer because Kazuya players are usually better at the game than most people who just pick let’s say hwoarang or king lol.

This is a modern gaming thing and it has been going on for over 10 years whether it's a shooter a fighter or a racer they always make this one thing that has to be the end all be all meta in a game and you really and truly don't have any use for anything else.
I remember back in 2008-2010s when I first started online gaming on console bottom teir was always able to compete with top teir, or the meta would only give you like a 5% advantage maybe using non meta alternatives would be a little slow or a little inefficient but you definitely could count on it especially when it was never used as much. Back then the meta was never end all be all.
Another side note for over a year I stopped looking at reviews and play throughs and guides when playing a new game because hearing about what to do and what to expect from a game you haven't even popped in yet sucks the fun out of the game.

The problem with tekken 8 is the heat system itself. No matter how hard they nerf characters it won’t matter when they enter their broken Heat state and overcome all the nerfs for about 15 seconds. Heat should be a mechanic that you have to manage rather than gifted every round.
I swear the more I play this game the more it feels similar to Soul Caliber 5.

I have had that same question for a very long time, whats the point of having so many moves, so many characters even, when only a handful are actually useful/worth using, and if your not a top fighting game player that trying to figure all that out can also be difficult extremely time consuming. just an old guy that has casually been a fighting game fan since SF2 on 16bit and arcade.

If they want to keep all these mechanics then they need to nerf air combos (length and damage wise). Adjust getting up and make it a two player game again in general. That should open up the move lists and get rid of those killer instinct combos (hell even killer instinct had combo breakers, why the hell doesn’t Tekken 8 have it?).

Play like Street Fighter: 3-5 unique moves with universal mechanics (50/50s and Rock Paper Scissors)
Look like MK with combos like Liu Kangs bicycle kicks input one move get 5 hits. Leroy already has it. (Minimizing execution). Imagine Bryan's Gatlin punches with no execution.
And from Tekken you can use movement to position yourself in favorable situations like getting away from the wall but no longer SS whiff punish.
We're already halfway there. If we're gonna save Tekken it has to be done now.

theres a new bug where if ur opponent mashes, the servers lag trying to retreive the information causing ur game to stutter. i watched a lot of my replays and recorded a few matches and its when the opponent starts mashes the game can drop all the way down to 10fps. this was a bug in a sfv. at this point this game is just not good and poorly coded and optimized. very noob friendly. heat smash, mixup, launch, ggs. never ending cycle. bring back tekken 7 fundamentals.
I noticed that the game slows up when someone activates heat and cancels the attack, you literally can’t move those split seconds
@@DeeallthewayG yep. i even tested it with a buddy of mine. we went in a lobby, and when he would punish me id mash into oblivion and i saw his connection icon go red and stay there. he said after that match it forced his graphics down and he's on a 4090 with 128 gig of ram... he went from ultra to low.

I already re-installed Tekken 7 and just bought Sparking Zero. It’s definitely Game Over for Tekken 8 for me, the blind rage and disappointment is not worth it. It’s a shame that after 20+ years since T1 the journey ends here but it is what it is.
Volatile matches are good for the sake of new pro players adapting to tekken 8 strats. Not always there will be arslan ash on top of every tournaments. U want to be on top always adapt to the game. Other players adapt sp why don't you do the same🤦🤦🤦
You cannot adapt to a guessing game, there is no way to do that, if you want consistenly win in a casino fighting game you need no guess, choose a heavy plus on block frame char for not let your opponent put you in a 50/50, and even with that you dont see atif and ulsan winning all fts and tournaments

Sorry bro, T8 is such a better game than T7. Systemic changes are NOT needed here is why: volatile is only bad in certain aspects and other aspects volatile is good. A pros job is to control the chaos, In T7 It’s much easier to control the chaos because Korean bash - got you out of 90% plus of the mixup situations. This was great for pro players who could KBD Add insane levels, but it made for boring, watch and many times boring to play for any players. And also limited what characters were viable because some were better at whiff punishing than others. Arslan is literally a crybaby. His negativity seeds in the community and people like you and other content creators should call it out for what it is. He loses and he cries. That would be OK, but to go on and ruining a game reputation. People need to stand up to and say just because you lose, doesn’t mean the game is bad. Because he can’t control the volatility, and other players are having more success like Uslan He cries. how can you say heihachi is broken when you play eddy. Eddy is on the broken characters to deal with next to all the other S tier characters with all his bs spam my gimmicks. If you not a kazuya main like me then you shouldn’t really be talking about characters being broken, because kazuya has to do way more work then any other character in the game just to survive. So let’s not act like your suffering against the heihachi matchup when your character has some issues too.
Eddy is definitely suffering from the matchup, the lack of counter hits that lead to launchers, Eddy lacks that.

I believe the game is unbalanced. Drag, Yoshi, and Devil Jin are broken based on my experience. I used Lidia mainly and when I fought a Devil Jin player I fill in great disadvantage.

I mean…..we haven’t hit the one year mark yet, and it didn’t start out in the arcades like all the Tekken games before it. It’s a unique issue for Tekken. This is definitely the “experimental phase”. Tekken 7 from 2017 is leagues different from Tekken 7 in 2023. We gotta trust in Bandai/Namco that they got plans of improvement.
In tekken 7 there was only jab and df1. At least were using 4 moves now😂
