- I really love this song, so it was a pleasure to do. Gameplay footage was recorded by myself.
The text at the top of the screen is written in "Celestial" or "Angelic" script, not completely accurate, I only put it in for the Aesthetic bonus.
You can learn more about celestial script here: en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Celesti...
These lyrics aren't at all official, just a fan transcription, feel free to use them in any covers or anything you plan on doing, and whilst I'm not going to hunt you down for not crediting, it would be appreciated if you could link to this video.
The language sung in many NieR tracks, (Excluding ashes of dreams and The weight of the world) is not a proper spoken language, and is actually a mish mash of several real world languages to create a fictional portrayal of the language drift between today and the game(s) setting.
Ususally most games have OSTs for areas be kind of "normal" and not special instead focusing on bosses, but NieR's desert theme goes hard and ita the perfect example of the incredible music compositon of NieR automata
Also it was a black lady that did the locals but when you search up the song you can barely see anywhere for her credit as the vocal I didn’t know this before and i was shocked I thought it was either a German girl or a Japanese girl that singed her song
@@newagehero9605 she's j'nique Nicole. she did vocals for this song, rays of light, part of a beautiful song, part of the tower, weight of the world english version, and maybe 1 or 2 more.
the white singer is emi evans. she's the creator of the chaos language used in NieRs music. and she's essentially the main singer of the NieR series. Nami nakigawa is the Japanese singer and she also worked on the original NieR OST. fun fact, she's actually popolas voice in each version of song of the ancients. (she's not the voice actor of the character though).
I used to think emi evans was the only singer in song of the ancients since both vocals sound like hers/1 characters. but nope, nakigawa is 1 of the singers
@@newagehero9605 Emi Evans is the star, I heard of J'Nique as well, but I have no idea who sings in japanese or french. It's not about being r∆cist, just a matter of who leads the vocals in majority gets more recognizement.
@@SuportoVcshe should still get credit regardless
Each area has an identity in Nier Automata, you know you are in a new distinct area when it's beautiful OST plays. It's marvelous.
I finished this game a week ago and just hearing this song makes me miss NieR Automata 😢 truly an amazing game
Yeah, very great storytelling
Preaching to the choir, here.
Nice
did you truely finish it tho
@@bearbectar7173 yes I got pretty much every ending except a few of the joke ones
Videogames music is the best
Modern Mainstream Radio music are SO BORING
Hey there fellow video game soundtrack enjoyers!
I Remember getting chills after hear8ng this for the first time. It's such a good ost
This game has some of the best music I have ever heard in my life. I just finished ending A last night, literally bawled my eyes out for 30 minutes straight man. What a masterpiece. I'm so excited for the rest of the game, if not a little anxious hahaha... I hear that if you cried at ending A, you will bawl your eyes out at the other endings, and, well, I did exactly that...for the first ending. Safe to say, I'm in for a ride. This game though man... Nier: Automata is one of the best things I've honestly ever experienced, I almost dont even want to call it a game, its a masterpiece of art. Enough rambling, however. Glory to mankind.
This song is so good, it reminds me just how much I love NieR
We love*
This game is a masterpiece seriously, hard to find games with such a good story and soundtrack
Prepare for an eargasm at 1:51
Its what keeps me coming back
I always listen to this theme if it is hot outside, or it is the summer time of the year
My man, whenever you can find lyrics to Pascal, Voice of No Return and Alien Infestation, you'll make one nerd EXTREMELY happy. Me.
It’s in another language, it’s kinda hard to get the lyrics
@@J0lly_jackson well majority of NieRs music is spoken in a made up language consisting of several other real world languages so, it is quite hard to find anything official.
Unless you make them yourself with some helpful hearing.
It’s Chaos Language invented by Emi Evans
me and my dad vibing to this shit
W Dad
I honestly love the battle happening throughout the video, the music is still what I like most about it but I can appreciate the seemingly effortless destruction of machines in the gameplay and it kinda makes a nice touch to it
desert osts going hard as usual
Just wanted to add a thank you for this excellent playlist and all the work you put into it, plus the descriptions!
Please, keep the good work! Thank you so much for this. I've watched all your videos and I will be sharing to help. :)
I regret not playing this game sooner. This and the Amusement Park are ky favorite OST of Nier Automata
factory theme wretched weaponry goes hard
Don’t have any regrets. It is better that you experienced it now than to never experience it.
This song was what hooked me on nier
this always makes me think of bjork. not the instrumental of course, but the woman's voice and the general contours of the vocals melody
Those dislikes are Adan and Eva
Cute robot game | Recalling of fine particle matter | Hot area filled with sand words related to a song
1:52 is an abundance of emotion and energy which transcends all language
Easily my favourite tune on the 3 ost discs. I always think of this whenever i think of this game
Awesome music!
I teared up but I didn’t cry at any other part of the game somehow but this song made me stop and just cry
NieR Automata is my favorite game ever 🥲

@@aluccard Yeah, it does sound quite powerful and beautiful. Sounds like the singer is really passionate about what she’s singing despite it being gibberish.
what language is that? Finnish?
@@Ryan-bh6vt if im not wrong i believe its a made up language called chaos language,
@@darkpeasant2496 Ah. thanks for answering
Forever obsessed with this game
0:44 fav part
best ost i heard in automata
This game is amazing
Usually when I walked into desert in video games, I will just do the mission given and fight some monsters in there, then leave.
But in Nier: Automata, this desert theme makes me want to roam around the desert even more just for fun.
When i got to that part in the crater in this section and this was playing i interpreted the song as if the machines pleading for mercy, not wanting to fight
El ost de mexico y el sudeste asiático en estos momentos
Just listen to this ost and then tell me while looking straight into my eyes that you hate this game. You can’t.
I’m so glad I get to finally experience this masterpiece on Nintendo switch I have been having a blast with it playing handheld and docked man the ost in this game is amazing such a good soundtrack
@@outright4697 same, this was my first time playing and it was amazing!
Same guys. I was waiting for a Linux release that never happened.
The moment it hit the Switch I immediately ordered the game so I could finally play it.
Excellent game, art direction, and awesome music.
After my first full playthrough (ABCDE-Endings, among others) I happened to delete my Save-Files and played through the entire game again with Music turned OFF.
The game has excellent atmosphere even without music, and I wanted to experience that as well as a more "authentic" experience to what the characters of the game would actually experience.
I still had the music playing in my head sometimes of course :D
Now that I finished the game a second time (after 60h again I think, because I wasn't in a rush), I re-enabled the music and enjoy cleaning up the few Quests I did not finished before.
@@anousenic I could never turn off the music, it’s too good
WWhat!?
I can't say that, this is a Masterpiece!
I hope this music is used in the anime. So goooood.
It is.

I grind this area for some time when i get out I didn't enjoy any boss fight cause I hit like a monster truck

Stumbling upon the Facade ruins in the desert genuinely made me cry

Los japos nunca descepcionan con los soundtracks en sus juegazos ❤
The instrumentals remind me of Björk
I am looking at the video and have no clue WTF is going on - just blindingly flashes that envenlop the entire screen and a bunch of characters running around and collecting shiny stuff.
It's a fast pace combat system
If only you could have also translated it to English! Or is these "alien" words just gibberish?
Hungry Guy The language essentially is a hodgepodge of different languages. I've watched some videos and read some interviews explaining it and how Emi Evans managed to create songs based on previously selected languages(such as English, French, Italian and German) and her impressions on it were "how it would sound like in 1000 years". So essentially the language really means nothing. Theres a hidden meaning to it but then again it's just gibberish.
@@thirtysixviews Okay. Thanks :-)
Language of angels according to Yoko
@@thirtysixviews Sounds like Elvish to me
It is a language known as darkness, literally it is the language speaked by both replicants and androids after humanity disappeared
Is this sang in a real language ?
Chaos language, it's a meaningless mix of language made up by Emy Evans (the singer behind most if not all Nier/Automata soundtracks). She makes certains songs sound "more" french, or "more" japanese, depending on the context, but they're all chaos language; the meaning is in the harmony rather than the vocabulary.
This song is amazing until you realize it's a short song where the vocals loop over and over and over and over the entire time you're in that area. By the time I finally left I just about went insane hearing it. I feel like it would have been so much better to have to vocals kick in at key moments with the song just playing instrumental the rest of the time. It's a great song, but I think the game used it so poorly. But that's just my opinion
What language is that
Chaos Language, invented by Emi Evans, the lead female vocalist for most songs from the Nier games. However I think this song was sung by J'Nique Nicole.
@@faelord5112 seriously? Didn't know that it's really cool actually that they go that far
I am sorry, but this song is a no for me
