I absolutely love this for my locs! I use it as a sleeping cap at night because my head gets hot at times. Glad I stumbled upon this while shopping at Von Maur.

Is the Buff showcased in this video the microfiber or the merino wool one? Because that material looks to be of extremely high quality. Also, is it easy to breathe through when worn as a mask? (0:50)

I can't be 100% certain sorry, Bipedal Lifeform, but I think the Buff Curtis was demonstrating on is the microfibre version. Both fabrics are high quality though, and are easy to breathe through when worn as a mask.
These are probably one of the most useful items and outdoors person could have int heir camp kit.

@@SnowysOutdoors I already own a similar piece of headwear made by another company which I mainly use to keep my face warm when I walk to uni in the winter. Unfortunately it's not very effective against the wind, it has irritating seams and it's not very long; I'm looking for a product I can tuck under my shirt and pull over my nose/ears without exposing my neck every time I move my head. Does the Buff deliver in those regards? If so I'm getting my hands on one ASAP.

I would say this ticks most boxes for you Bipedal Lifeform. These would sit comfortably around your neck and is in excess of 50cm long, the merino one is even longer (over 60cm I believe) so it will give enough length to reach your ears.
The only thing it won't do is stop the wind, it will reduce it but the fabric is not a tight enough weave nor does it have a membrane to stop the wind all together.
The merino wool version would be the best option for you if it is for warmth.

@@SnowysOutdoors Thanks for the quick and super informative replies, I appreciate it. Final questions: How tight does it fit? One I have now is snuggly enough, but when I pull it to my ears it presses against my mouth and makes talking awkward. Also is the company logo subtle? Unimportant detail mainly for aesthetic reasons, I'd just prefer not having a logo plastered across my face, haha. I don't mind if it's at the bottom.

If it's around your ears and mouth I'd say it will fit firmly, the more you bunch it up the tighter it will feel. The logo is subtle on most versions, I'm pretty sure they all have a small Buff logo at one or each end, you can see this in the images on our website here - www.snowys.com.au/buff. However, there are some designs that quite obviously have larger logo's on them, but we don't currently have any of those.

Does the merino wool buff have a vertical seam? or are they still made as a seamless tube...

There's no seam on the Merino Buff, Syd. They are made in the same manner as the Original Buff, that is, as a seamless tube of fabric. ~ Ben
