what i do. fold gaither in half, print side out. line up edges. then inside gather three layers, makes like a pocket. you will need to hold these three pieces firmly, place thumbs opposite sides inside pocket. place these three layers over back of head. single layer slides over forehead.. make a band on bottom edge and arrange material to form shape of head. hide excess material behind band to make a nice look. you will see this hide technique when making biker bandanas or desert scarves.

I have a gaiter but I cant figure out how to wrap it around mywrist properly, when I try it it just looks stupid
Make it compacted then twist it till it looks like and 8, then fold one loop on top of the other, 2 years later ik
