First of all, SoaSE2 has been out 1.0 for a while now. And as someone who played 1 to death, 2 has even more. In depth independent race diplomacy; deeper tech tree; special slots in ships and planets you can build buffing techs to go into; special gems and resources to build capitol ships; more differences in races; optional planet orbits; and more.
I think you would like Terminator Dark Fate Defiance, if you havent already played it. Put out by Slitherine, the devs did a really good job of getting the sights and sounds of the Terminator into the game. It reminds me a lot of the other game Slitherine put out Starship Troopers Terran Command, both of them are really good. Happy New Years to everyone!
Merry Christmas! My most played games from 2024: Crusader Kings 3, Anno 1800, Civ 6, American Truck Simulator, U-Boat and, number one for me, Stellaris. I wish everyone health in 2025.
Thanks for sharing. Good choices you have! I recently went through Anno 1404 campaign, that was good fun. Stellaris... I haven't played for many updates now.
I've always thought I'd like to play a mech type game and have a few on my wish list, but I have yet to pull the trigger and purchase one. Any recommendations?
Thank you so much for this amazing video! Could you help me with something unrelated: My OKX wallet holds some USDT, and I have the seed phrase. (alarm fetch churn bridge exercise tape speak race clerk couch crater letter). How should I go about transferring them to Binance?
is Gothic armada a turn based game, or similar to Empire at war, when you lose a ship, you can summon a second ship (not a big fan of turn based, except worms games)
Merry Christmas Tortuga. This list is the definition of diverse. Enjoyable video to watch!
Thanks Jay! I guess most people are multi-dimensional gamers. YT content for me is a focused subset.
Very nicely organized and presented. Thanks! I enjoyed going through the games.
Glad to hear it, the effort wasn't wasted :)
Ooh, looking forward to a Supreme Ruler 2030 series. Love to see how that game goes.
Ostranauts mentioned!!!

Merry Christmas to you & yours Tortuga!
Thanks, Shawn, and same to you (and yours!)
Great video, Tortuga. I want to check out some of these.
Definitely looking forward to the SR2030 series!
Thank you for the video

If you like the Terminator game, the Robocop game is also an easy recommendation. Fingers crossed we see more from these two IPs from these devs.
Thanks for the suggestion. Somehow I never investigated either of these, although historically I've loved Slitherine/Matrix. Time to have a look.
Mechabellum, The Long Dark and Manor Lords best ones

Ostranauts is fantastic!
I legit was looking for this from you. We play, and enjoy, the same games. I have $61.64 in Steam money, and it's burning a hole in my monitor.
Especially with the ongoing Winter sale, you can get some real value for that!

If you enjoy the XCOM style games, BATTLETECH is great. (And that reminds me that I forgot to talk about BATTLETECH!)

It's real-time at the tactical level, turn-based at the strategic level (like Empire at War)
Merry Jesus CHRISTmas
I enjoyed watching the Long Dark streams on Twitch.TV/TortugaPower
I enjoyed the audience support. Especially during Darkwalker monster mission. And the Old Bear tracking you.
