KOHIMA - JESSAMI ROAD PARTICULARLY PACKAGE - II NEGLECTED: NPP

The National People's Party (NPP) Phek District has raised concerns over the neglect of Package II of the Kohima-Jessami road by the National Highways and Infrastructure Development Corporation Ltd (NHIDCL). According to the NPP, this stretch of road has been almost impassable for over two years, posing a significant threat to the lives of commuters. Despite repeated appeals from various civil society organizations and individuals, there has been no progress on the construction of the road. The NPP unit is disappointed with the new contractor, M/S Ratna Infra Projects Pvt. Ltd, as there are no signs of construction work commencing. Urging the contractor to begin work without delay, the NPP emphasizes the critical need for immediate action to address the deteriorating condition of the road.
