I was in my teens. A relationship just suddenly sprung up and over the summer, I'd go to her place every evening and we'd talk for hours. I developed feelings for her and when I told her, she expertly changed the subject. A couple of weeks later, she was caught, by her family, in the backseat of a car with a co-worker of mine. It turned out that our entire "friendship" was so that she could find a way to get access to my co-worker, after she found out a lot about him through me.
So, i asked her a few times over the years we knew eachother. My recolection is that she found it very awkward, and i would rescind the question each time. She dated one of my siblings, and i realized i was in love with her, but not willing to break them up. Evenrually they broke up, and i tried one more time. She did agree to go out with me. She then told me each time that i had asked her out previously she had gotten to flustered to say anything, but wanted to say yes. We'll have been together for a year in october, and we have sorta realized we're in it for the long haul :)
I developed a massive crush on my best friend.... I spilled my guts to him this spring, and he confessed that he felt the same way. We're engaged now 🥰
Just do it, 9 times outta 10 it’ll actually workout and if it doesn’t don’t be discouraged, take it on the chin, keep it moving and the right person will be there when you least expect it!
To the guys who have crushes on the "hot girl" really pay attention to her personality because that's the part you'll be on a date with. Is she a mean girl? If she is, super hot, or not, do you really want to date that? Also, do you have a platonic girl "friend" who spends a lot of time with you? 90% chance she has a thing for you. Does she laugh at all your cheesy jokes? Is she excited to see/hang out with you?? That is the girl who's crushing on you... if you want to know for sure, find a way to ask her if she has a crush on anyone. Her reaction to that question should be your green flag to proceed, or abort. 💜
Every guy I have asked out in school rejected me, the only time I asked out someone and they actually went out with me was when I was an adult and he broke up with me 3 months in because I was being "too fast" like what do you mean I was going too fast! Yeah I wanted to have sex and move in with him but that's normal to want to do that. My parents got married 4 months after getting together so it's normal lol. NGL I'm glad that guy broke up with me cause I wouldn't have my husband now. I got to move in with him too! We have an apartment together and it's awesome!
