And now the weird front end that doesn't look retro at all, it just looks like a mess. I mean, why not make a four-door LX-type car and just call it "Coronet" or something, since those came four door. Why Charger?

I think the new charger looks incredible unless we are talking V6 base models, the SRT Hellcat and Super Bee look awesome and way different than other cars in the road, we have a cool 2 doors and it's tha Challenger so let Dads and Grandpas have fun as well, the new Charger definitely deserves its name
why tho? hellcat charger is a cool car. i mean you could take it shopping to the grocery store, do some burnout on the way out of the parking lot and have a lot of fun strolling down the powerband. of course it's ridiculous, so is any muscle car there is.

The charger should have always been a long wheelbase 2 door coupe grand tourer. The current sedan is a neat car, but hardly lives up to the legend of the Charger name.
For me, I went with the Charger because it had 4 doors. With 3 little girls, 2 which are in car seats, it was just more practical but I can still enjoy driving a Charger. That being said, when they get older it's 2 door time. Hopefully they will make this body design for the next generation of Charger and offer it in SXT, RT, SRT and Hellcat versions.
Challenger has that market segment locked up. The only way they would do that is if GM or Ford launched something to compete other than Camaro and Mustang "family with benefits" cars.
The newer Chargers are not even close to the original run on this make and model. They should have been named the new Cordoba instead of disgracing the name Charger with a family car.. Chargers should never have been given four doors ever. I was the proud owner of a 1970, 383 Magnum SE that use to bury the speedometer @160 mph..in the seventies Oh it was crazy car...I also owned a 1970 Challenger that was no comparison to the Charger

My Favorite car of the 2018 SEMA show. should have won battle of the builders! 2019 SEMA is going to be great as there are people building cars right now with this engine. I hope some can do a great article/road test on this car and get some video of it running. WOW! you can never get tired of looking at this car.

The major issue is practicality. Exhaust steam on cold days, black soot build up, etc, which are by-products of combustion engines. They will cover or temporarily reduce visibility of your tailights. This feature would never make production.

I doubt it would happen first of all complete bodies would have to be made which come to think of it would fill in a void for Guy's wanting Charger Bodies (Old School Muscle) aftermarket make a lot but not a body the price would be ridiculous ok if you're Jay Leno or Tim Allen also, after years of the 4 door Charger Mopar are finally starting to make a decent 4 door Charger I know it's not a two door but I can't see it happening.
I've always been ok with there being a V6 in Chargers and Challengers but this car would have to be only available with a V8 or else it wouldn't be right.

As far as I know the only difference between the 68 & the 69 was the tail lights and a divider in the front grill,... I prefer the round tail lights of the 68 pèrsonally. I have fond memories of my 68.
But I don't think they can do that because that old engine definitely doesn't meet the low emission requirements for today's vehicles.
