I like to PvP, and PvE. Usually wearing an Exo Suit nowadays. Unlocking it is easy with no cheats needed anymore, and usually on a server, official or unofficial, I'm not fussed. With regards to oil, you can also head to the volcano biome and there you can find an oil lake. You can find oil rocks there.
Came here to comment this! I built in the volcano biome and was shocked when he said there wasn't any on the surface as I built some-what close to it!
To expand on this, not only on oil lake but all around the volcano look for pointy pillar rocks that have a glowing red color on the tip, these rocks indicate there are nearby oil rocks!
Bonus , I actually filled my water bag there hahaha
I wasted a lot of time in the snow looking for oil rocks before I found this. Said to my tribe mate that if I couldn't harvest oil from what looked like a river of the stuff I was uninstalling lol.
@@ComettYT I just discovered those point rocks!! I was farming obsidian and got oil and started smacking everything in sight to figure out where it came from. Most resource guides I've seen so far say oil is only underwater so I was surprised to find it here.
23.0 13.3 is the Updated Coordinates for the Underwater Gem Cave...a Maewing is useful to get here
theres a bunch of oil in the ice wyvern scar. thats where I've been farming them. The wyverns are fairly easy to avoid, from my experience only about 3 spawn at a time and they rarely even go in the back (and when they do, they're usually high up and don't immediately aggro)

If you go to the ice wyvern scar and go to the little cave portion there’s actually a good amount of oil in there
I get crashed to desktop whenever I enter that area. It might be extra animals spawned by Primal Fear, but it’s still an issue for everyone on my server

There is also another really good Black Pearl spot at 39-64. Theres a little alcove lake with plenty of shiny Black Pearl drops with no creatures in the water. Not even fish! Enjoy!

Also for Sulphur, there is a spot underground in the desert you can farm. I'm not on right now for coords but it's in a hole around 84 30

The volcano has oil. There are those glowing rock stalagmites that have rocks around them with oil.

That shallow oil spawn is where we've set up out base.
Follow the shore north until you reach a basin with a stream flowing into it from the mountain on the right. Opposite that stream is a landmass with a crevice, there's a decent metal spawn in there.
The shallow place with the oil has an alpha Leedsichthys in it on our ark, so be careful with your raft there. Took out our wood fortified one with 6.5k wood on board with one bite.
That stream I mentioned earlier looks enticing, I followed it up and didn't find much exciting, but on the way down found out the hard way that the area is full of Troodon.
Do you happen to know the coordinates roughly?
For oil, you can farm oil rocks around the tar pits near the volcano.

There is Oil on the surface. Oil pits south east of the volcano. The oil rocks are a shinier black... and at the base of the red lava pod things, there's small peak rocks that make a different sound when harvested. Those ones have slightly more oil! ✔

Just as an update there are above ground oil rocks located at 29.3-49.2
Up close to the snow and just over a peak or 2 from the volcanoes there is a lake with no fish and loads of Black pearls. Also, some silica Pearls on Desert small pond.
If you star at the mouth of the four sands or whatever its called and go up the river there is a waterfall. Repeat that step till the 3rd waterfall and behind that last taller waterfall is a cave. Good access to bugs and black pearls. Go deeper and It also goes down into the aberrant cave
Time to go on a resource hunt!

There is a lake just below the volcanoes where the steam gizers are and in that lake there is black pearls with no danger in it

At the top right of the map near an island next to the Volcano area there's a little cave that you crawl into for all the gems it's not too much but its easy to get to

Not easy for some but i found a couple of metal nodes in the tunnels under the tower/lighthouse in the NW. Just have to deal with a few pesky spiders.
you should have mentioned that they are above 300+ level spiders though :D no way anybody at earlier stages can kill those sadly

There is a tar land at like 45 65ish that has oil rocks , they look different this time. It is a normal rock with a black oily top.
The cords could be wrong but it is on the right on side of the map could be 45ish 55 ish. I found it after a long time of no sleep so don't remember the cords to well:(

@@Raasclark yeah they kind of look like obsidian. Plenty of oil in the volcano but the rocks might trick you the first time around

I love rag and Center so this map is good for me. The size of Crystal, styled like rag, feels like center. Amazing

Dunno who needs to hear this but despite how scary it is if ya tame a high level icthy and some low level icthys to act as storage you can set up a base just about anywhere in the desert and dire wolves will spawn which means 1 a powerful pack tame that can boost the attack of other wolves and 2 it means you can kill the low levels and harvest their fur so that you can gain access to the snow biome and mantis also spawn in the desert so plenty of organic poly which means despite there being no obsidian in the desert you can still use the organic poly instead so chuck some preserving salts into your fabricator to keep the organic poly around longer oh and plenty of keretain thanks to the doedicirus and ankys but plenty of metal and honestly if ya know where the crystal caves are and that the brown flat mushrooms in the water like everywhere are a source of sap and fungal wood also the weird furry cuctus are a tree hybrid and it gives ya a small amount of tree sap and cactus sap I think and all the dangerous creatures can be bolad so ya can build up a collection of nets for the harpoon gun and grappling hooks since apart from the parcers and super slow rock golems theirs nothing to really fear in the desert and it beats the weird sounds ya hear when in the forest near the lighthouse it has dead island riptide levels of added ambiance like you'd swear Rockwell was under their with like animals and dinos like melded into him so it's surprisingly more survivor safety then the beach area cause carnos raptors and rexes stalk them woods oh and I'm getting ready to do the rock Drake method and use a wingsuit and climbing hooks with gilly armor to spider man along the ceiling till I find at least a 135 ice wyvern and recently tamed a level 30 snow owl to better locate a sinamacrops in the dense jungle while avoiding the troodons and microraptors honestly the desert is a crucial place to visit in lost island if ya wanna blast away at a lot of stuff from the ol to do list in game as thanks to the ankys and doedics you can farm metal and stone like crazy and the islands along the way some spawn argentavis so you do have access to early game argys and it'd inspire more scorched earth like combat as apart from the amargasaurs that only spawn in one area it's basically scorched earth minus the shit weather hell ya even have access to rare flowers/mushrooms and silk via the short purple flowers anyhoo gonna get ready to go egg hunting the next one's are gonna be the wyverns nest over in the volcanic region hence the stock piling of nets as I plan to net any wyverns that get to close when I first nab the eggs so wish me luck and hope this helped someone trynna get a good start for this map

Best to get metal is to get a bronto pet near like the third easy spawn option it’s a high mountain before valley and snow biom the mountain is on the side of jungle the cove you spawn in should have a couple big boulders in the middle
As I said on the lost island rare creatures vid, in terms of organic polymer, mantis also spawn in the volcanic wyvern den
You can get oil in the volcano area too there are oil rocks
If anyone needs lots of chitin for cementing paste all you need to do is go to swamps and there are loads of leeches that you can kill and they will drop lots of chitin and a sometimes a little oil
Also just cut out the middle man and get a beezlebufo. Mass farm meganeuras and titanomiras, and it's good movement
I just use a beezlebufo on bugs and get thousands over time
There are plenty of black pearls at the bottom of the small lake right next to the geysers. That’s where I built my base😄
The gem cave is something I need to check out
Theres a pond around the highlands biome up on a hill. Its a little more inlands, but its next to your ovis spawn location. I dont know cords rn but its shallow and loaded with black pearls

There is no Gas Vein on Lost Island, which sucks because you cannot make the condensed jell without it to create or fix Toxic gear.

There is a lake just south of the volcanos with a small mountain right next to it. It has more black pearls than you could ever carry or use.

I’m also struggling quite a bit which is concerning considering in the trailer if shows there are Zip-lines yet they need fumble wood to craft so it’s confusing

If you are still searching for fungal, you can find it almost anywhere in the water when you harvest some special looking corals.

Hey dude. Does anyone know where I can get fungal wood on lost island. I thought in the abb zone cave but I didn't find any. They allow you to tame ravangers but to make the saddle you need fungal wood. So I assume you can get it somewhere.
I have been looking everywhere but do you happen to know if Rockaroot/Savoroot spawns on LostIsland or will it be only through plots?
It doesn't look like they do. Good old fashioned crop plots are the way
Any map where I don't need to farm creature drops for black pearls is a good map. Although, just at first glance it seems like this new map doesn't have quite the variety and ease of resource gathering that Crystal Isle does... which is good, element and black pearls are too easy to get on Crystal Isle.

@@xdevil5818 you can just mine element shards from crystals on one of the islands... by far the easiest element to get on any map with the possible exception of Genesis 2
@@timeshark8727 Nah they give you like 10 shards each talking about Official Small Tribes it's takes an hour or two to only get 100 ele when in Gen1 it takes like 30 minutes for 1K ele n ext For gen2 its a joke
@@xdevil5818 I haven't played on official for quite a while, I had no idea it was that poor. I usually get 30-80 shards per crystal. Takes me like 30 minutes to fill the inventory of my argentavis.
Even so, compared to the other maps that's pretty easy element without any setup or real investment. On most maps its farming Tek dinos or bosses if you want element. I had forgotten about the lunar biome of Gen1 before.

The oasis's in the desert (bottom right or bottom left) have everything but crystal. Pearls are just in the water there.

Getting metal in the wyvern trench will be very easy for me as I've killed every wyvern in the trench but something that bothers me is that no more wyverns will spawn. Any ideas on how to fix this?

For the black pearls There's a big lake Out in the open with no Spawns in the water
Where do you find raw salt?
A fair number of the spawns are not in the same places anymore, like the Metal at 1:50 its actually at 27.51-24.55.

Ok Ik in your previous video you said they fixed the levels of Dino’s. But I’m only seeing a Max level of 112 when it’s usually 150. What do I do. I Dino wiped already.
I've felt like the high levels weren't spawning when I upped the max level to 180 and dino wiped. I downloaded the dino tracker mod that shows all dinos and checked the levels on that as I spent a near full day trying to find anything above 150! I guess that would only work if you were on PC though!
Whats your difficulty at? If its any lower than 1 you won’t get max level dinos so set it to 1 if you haven’t already.
