I knew a winch man that helped rescue many many people and was a real hero.he was also a vey humble guy who never though it was a brave thing what he used to do.sadly he’s passed away now and when he was alive we all knew he was a good guy.when he died we were surprised. How many awards,medals he had.i just want to say you guys are all heroes

We were on a Princess Cruise in 2016 when we had to stop and rescue people on a sinking catamaran off the coast of the Dominican Republic. Even though it messed up our last stop at Turks & Caicos, I’m glad we were able to help.
All I got to say is: when you go boating, make sure there are more life jackets than people on board and if you don’t want to wear one make sure they are in a easy to get location and the driver is sober and is wearing a kill switch.

@@GameVilleofficialpage we had just got on to the edge of the reef when we drifted to close to the reef and went to reverse the boat and that is when my good mate shouted "dad wave" i looked over and there was a wall of white water coming side on to the boat. i am 6,6 and i could not see over the water and it was legit freak wave. the water hit the boat me and my mate where thrown from the boat and my mates dad and niece where trapped under the boat. my mate dove under the boat and got his dad and i got his niece out. what you dont see in the video is there is actually a massive private yacht that came but there smaller boat wasn't working at the time. when we landed they told us there tender was having problems starting. thats the basic story. i won't use names cause my friends have been quiet with it and i don't want them getting heaps of messages.
so lucky to be rescued just before the sun goes down. thank you for saving lifes
