You went to a lot of work lol. Just pop the shift pattern cap out, turn it, then pop it back in
Well hi there friendly buddy. Thanks for your positive comment! But the problem is It becomes ruined/damaged if you try to take off the cap. This knob does not work like that. But please go ahead and try it your way and enjoy your newly damaged shift knob. Or you could just do it my way that is a tremendous amount of work totaling around 3 mins of time *gasp*. How does it just move on its own? I feel like i just came out one day and bam it wasnt straight?
Same. I don’t know man. One time I took my truck in for an alignment and the shift knob was crooked after that, maybe the guy man handled it or something, idk…Had to do this procedure again.

My dads 2004.5 was upside down from the factory.....
Ha! Time to get that fixed
