With this particular club, Juniors Class is 17 and younger. For the most part, "Vintage" is considered '85 and older Leaf Spring, "stock", sleds. Some organizations break down Juniors classes into age brackets and limits engine size and whatnot. If by chance you're asking specifically about this club in Sumpter, Oregon, I can get you in touch with those in charge. Otherwise, you simply have to ask the club where you intend to race what their rules are. We always want more competitors to keep the sport alive!
@@oldsledstv2532 yeah, I was interested in entering at sumpter in an 84' polaris but that is gas-shock. 440 cc's. I could also do something in lower Washington.
@@lazarusbambakidis6820 It's a lot more complicated than that, meaning there are more classes. Which '84 Polaris are you talking about? The Indy Trail? Liquid cooled (I don't think there was a liquid 440 in '84) or fan? Cutlass? SS? They do have IFS classes. They have classes for a lot of sleds. And they may not mind the gas-shocks... AND, they may let a Junior run with the adults. AND, it's only May and they'll probably develop new classes, especially if they have input from potential racers. How old are you and what sled do you have? I have nothing to do with the rules, but I know what they were letting in last year...(they'll probably have something for you.).
@@lazarusbambakidis6820 although my 12 year declined to do so, they probably would have let him race against the adults in the Fan IFS class. So, if you and your boy/girl are okay with him/her running against the adults, then it's probably good. BUT, you need to talk to the rule makers... I was just a racer. On a side note, I ran my '86 Indy Trail against 5 Yamaha Phazers and did well. I think the video is on this channel.
