ASMR Roleplay | Your First Therapy Session (help for stress, anxiety, intrusive thoughts)

  • Hi guys! This is a roleplay I've been wanting to do for a while now! It's a therapist roleplay in which I whisper, type, ask lots of questions, calm you down, give you mental health tips, light a candle, do breathing exercises, flip through a workbook with you, write notes, demonstrate EFT tapping, and much more. 💜
Please note that this ASMR video is a *roleplay* - I'm not a mental health professional. I did try to recreate how my first ever therapy appointment went though. :)
    Until next time!

I like how you explain "disorder". I have OCD myself and I've come to learn that a lot of people around me have of an "OCD-like" thing they do, but I always say, the difference with me is that for me, it disturbs my life in a way that led me to seek therapy.

Exactly. I’m a perfectionist, and I get very irritated when things aren’t absolutely perfect, which is what people think ocd is. But I don’t have it and I have a friend that does have it, and there’s a difference.

A question to anyone reading: how did you discover you responded to ASMR? Because I thought I had limited triggers but the more I watch these kinds of whisper videos with repetition (from some creators) it’s like it’s awakening more triggers in me!

I still don't have any trigger responses, and generally don't enjoy ASMR videos because there seems to be a "thirsty" subtext. But, Sarah's videos are so wonderfully relaxing. I keep watching to see if I'll have a trigger response, but mostly I am just happy to feel less anxious.

I did a school project on stress relief and stumbled upon ASMR and the first thing that came into my mind was a scene from My Girl where Vada the girl checks her best friends scalp for personality patterns. I guess my favourite trigger is careful examination x sounds I loved from the beginning were hair combing and cutting (maybe bc it reminds me of the way my mum used to do my hair) and keyboard clicking x

But yeah now I enjoy almost anything, except for chewing noises and eating in general, not a big fan of rustling in things, like going through a box full of plastic bags that annoys me so much haha 😂

I’ve been thinking about going to a therapist for a while now, just hard to find one in rural towns rip. Thank you for this, gives me a bit of insight into what it might be like to see a therapist. Very much appreciated 🌸

Absolutely loved this video sarah, you have a very natural feminine energy which most people will appreciate but I think most men will feel that bit more 💙 it’s a great roleplay and the whole video did it’s job in both ways, relaxing and caring 💯😁
