Was amazing to attend the March Past at Dar es salaam Upanga JK this morning. It was however with mixed feelings - proud that the tradition goes on and kinda sad that the jamat has shrunk so much. I believe there are probably close to 1,800 jamaat now on Dar. We used to be in thousands - the Mamero during Khushali used to be a huge thing.... so big that each khane had its own. Nevertheless, it was so good to welcome this special day like this. A huuuuuuge appreciation for all the badged/uniformed and non-uniformed members of our jamaat - volunteerism is indeed the pillar of our jamaat and instituions! Proud to be an Ismaili - KHUSHALI MUBARAK TO YOU ALL!!!!
