Nice job on the video. Its great to hear the companies communicating with each other and not having someone continuously talking over there transmissions.

clearly, you have not seen "the world"... this is still in America, which means the driving can be extremely bad, but never "awful"... compare it to how they drive say in The West-Bank or in some parts of Bangladesh, and (for different reasons) this will seem quite tame.
You don’t understand how the fdny operates…and what’s really going on here and how those are truck companies and the engine companies are bringing the line up the fire escape
@@tjlovesrachelfrom what anyone can see FNDY operates dangerously, They are walking around on an already vented roof, they got a saw up there before a hose, some are not wearing BA equipment therefore breathing in deadly smoke. they have a bucket and another ladder reaching the roof both capable of tranporting a hose to the roof. you point out they are bringing a hose up the fire escape, so blocking anyone escaping the fire, well done lads!!
@@TOGUN_TK okay first off….are you a firefighter anywhere in any capacity? Second the fdny is hands down the finest department in the country and I dare say the world…they know exactly what they are doing…and yes they don’t have their Scott packs on because they do not use them frivolously…and you need to vent ASAP to not only make it cooler for the firefighters searching and working inside but for the potential victims that also maybe inside…if you just start spraying water you run the risk of steaming people alive or rather to death..and it was up the outside of the fire escape….come on man you didn’t watch the video….your just playing safety chief with no real operational knowledge…and yes those ladders are there for the guys on the roof to get off quickly if need be..and you need the hose to be connected to the engine on the street for water… what good is a hose on the roof that’s not connected to anything…
@@tjlovesrachel No-one has to be a firefighter to comment on a fire video. In the same way no-one has to be a chef to comment on a cooking video. Are you say that no-one can comment on football or NBA videos unless they’ve been a professional player? See how stupid that argument is? My comments are coming from a Health and Safety aspect. If each firefighter weighs about 130kg x 8 that’s over 1000kg extra weight on a burning roof, seem sensible does it? Not wearing BA gear in smoke is plain stupid, and causes lung damage, possibly leading to C.O.P.D, cancer, Emphysema E.T.C. you think it's ok to be frivolous with your lungs? I didn’t say anything about the hose not being connected, pointless taking it up if it’s not as it’s wasting time. should have been connected up and the first ladder / bucket taken it up, that then gives the firefighters a little back-up protection while they are up there. A smaller hose line up there could be used in short bursts to great effect to control the fire instead on pouring millions of gallons through a large hose. As for the guys inside the building they nearly took out their colleagues at 8:39. Fire escapes are called " Fire Escapes " for a reason, there's a clue in the name, and should be kept clear unless people are escaping.
how risky is it putting firefighters on the roof like that? to a layman, it seems like if the fire would take off they would be engulfed before anyone can do anything
Why does it seem that in every video so far....all the firefighters show no sense of urgency. Like yes of course they have to becareful and no make mistakes ect.. but it just seems that they are just taking their time like...no big deal its just a normal fire.
I can understand that it may seem odd. There are reasons. Over 100 lbs of gear and tools;you need to move deliberately or suffer injury. Once injured a FF not only stops helping, but becomes a part of the problem, as resources will be needed to assist them. Moreover, some of these FFs are in their fifties. Lastly, when rushing , mistakes happen that can have negative results on the operation. 22 year FF here.
Nice job on the video. Its great to hear the companies communicating with each other and not having someone continuously talking over there transmissions.

Communicating with each other and not having someone
Most definitely. One particular video guy continually yaps over fire ground radio traffic. Pain in the ass.
Thank you for the excellent coverage of the fire 🔥😊
Any time!
Thank you for the excellent coverage of the fire
They better check with the DA to make sure it’s ok for them to go out on calls.
Prayers for your safety brothers and sisters 🙏
Pray they are safe from Peekaboo James.

being picky; Marble Hill is not part of the Bronx; it's part of Manhattan; great job on video and to the members
This is true! However for FDNY purposes, marble hill is dispatched as part of the Bronx. Thanks for the support!
Incorrect, Marble Hill is part of the Bronx as it is north of the Broadway bridge.

Just me but wouldn't it have been easier to use the bucket to take the hose up to the roof instead of climbing up the escape ladder?
Way to handle business brothers!!!
Can the bucket ladder work as a stand pipe?
Yes there equipped with a snorkel that can be remotely operated...or operated on the bucket
Yes it totally can

Not just to film it. There is a thermal imaging camera in the drone so they can see the hot spots from the air.
