I actually went snorkeling in cancun this spring break and saw a GIANT cheese and I cried like for real and I prayed to him and named him cheese after cheese although I only saw the cow fish for like 3 seconds lmao

Ok for people asking about me tapping the aquarium: this glass is extremely thick and odds are they didn’t hear anything. I was very excited about this video and didn’t pay attention to my hands during it. My fish always will swim away when people approach the tank unless they’re hungry and I didn’t see any of them react further than that when I touched the tank. This isn’t like a lot of cheaper aquariums/ones that aren’t custom built. in all it was close to $15,000 and the tank itself was a huge part of that price because the glass is extremely thick. I will make sure in an upcoming video I make it clear to people why it’s not best to do that but please have more faith in me about that lol.. people keep pointing out around 7:20 I did that but you’ll see no fish really reacted except one in the back because they saw a hand approaching, and possibly Irwin turned a different direction, but my fish always do that when you approach the tank too close unless you have food. I’m not saying it’s safe to bang a tank all you want: it would’ve been best I avoid it and not set a bad example!!! But I know the thickness of the glass dissipates the noise. If a fish is startled they will bolt extremely fast and risk running into things to get away from whatever they’re scared off, which would be a proper reaction to their tank making a deep banging noise, and ALL the fish would hear it not just one or two. It’s clear nothing bad happened.

For people with less experience or less room I would recommend a thornback cowfish (Lactoria fornasini) They max out at 6” and can comfortably be kept in 55-75 gallons. Their toxin is also slightly less potent.

Marissa Celaya well, they can live in captivity, a 200 gallon tank isn’t that much, especially if you hit up an LFS that has a used one. Another thing is that Taylor is way over exaggerating the care of these fish. Cowfish can live in a 180 for years, in fact there was a woman who bought a cowfish at the fish store I work at and three years later she came back with one about 12 inches and it grew that in a 125. Realistically a tank 180-300 is ideal for a cowfish.

Oh my god why are so many people saying shes hoarding animals?!?!?! Shes not! This is her JOB. She makes videos maybe once a month and i believe that gives her enough time to take care of her pets. Not only that but she said she didnt do this all alone and people help her take care of pets. None of her animals are in bad conditions, she upgrades her tanks as her animals grow and cares to each of their needs, and if they arent to be displayed or stuff she spends maybe 5 minutes with them out. I mean. Go to a pet store and tell me that they know as much and treat those pets as well as taylor. Exactly. Geesh people i understand your love for these animals but back off.
Have you noticed how many of her pets die in a month?! At least 3-4. Probably from the way she treats them. Their cages are too small, just the minimum amount at best. Also, in what way is taking care of all of these animals her job? Is she certified? No. She's just a youtuber with a problem.
Also, imagine being one of those animals. Let's say you have one hedgehog. That hedgehog gets all the love and attention it deserves because he's all you have. He may even have a sibling, but you treat them well and do your best. Now let's say you have 50 animals in your small apartment. How much attention and care can you give to all 50, giving them the life they deserve, with your one self? You can't. It's impossible.

All of her cages are huge! And even if the animal doesn't need a big enclosure she still gives them an amazing amount of space. And Taylor has NOWHERE NEAR 50 ANIMALS. And if you watch her videos, she moved out of her small apartment and got a bigger one to make her pets feel more spacious and free. And even if she DID have 50 pets she could love each and every one of them equally and no matter how many pets she could have she would love all of them and treat them with proper care. And NO, 3-4 of her pets don't die in one month. And most of her animals that died either had a malfunction (which would have been by accident), bad health problems from the breeder, etc. And no, she doesn't blame her animals for the health problems. it was the breeder who did mass breeding, or a person who's' rehoming a pet that they didn't take care of correctly. So take your shitty fake ass comment and shove it up your ass. Taylor deserves more than this.
