I watch my favourite people in the morning while I eat my breakfast. You make the start of my day so positive with your cheerful chatter and your stories about your day as well as your great ideas. I’ve started a whole new folio for this and other ephemera ideas. Thanks Gayle for making my day. 💐
Thanks Gayle for the new series.....excellent for us newbies.....please can you put them all into a playlist as you go along ? Makes it easier to watch them over and over again....hope you and your family are all well....love and hugs 💖
One of my favourite things to hear you say Gayle is ... "talk amongst yourselves" as you dash off to grab something extra to 'make' with... I just love it ... Jenni (aka Wicked Witch) Hervey Bay, Australia 😊
Loved that journal!!! Cute cards...I have to tell you this..you were telling the story of your son in law etc... and said something like "useless piece of information" but for me..it triggered memories of when my son was away in the Army and he would be on guard duty and he would call me to talk for hours and the time difference made it so he'd call me at midnight or 1am and I would stay up talking to him till 3-4am....I never complained because i knew he was homesick and i missed him and the thing is that I am so glad we had those talks because he passed away at 26 yrs old and i cant have those talks with him anymore...but i had forgotten about those calls until just now and this is a happy memory which have been lost to me in my grief..so thank you for reminding me of some of my favorite memories..i know im rambling cuz im very emotional right now...hugs to you Gayle
I'm fairly new at junk journaling and am so very happy to have found your channel!!! Been binge watching your videos and learning so, so much! And I LOVE this new series too! Thank you for sharing your expertise! And I just love your style and personality....so very fun to watch you!
This is going to be an awesome occasional series! I have often wished there was a playlist for examples of your ephemera, and here we go! Yaaay, Gayle. 👏👏👏🤗
What!?! You haven’t watched every single one of the 800 plus videos??? 😂😂😂. Brandy, you gotta put in some time with me, friend! Lol!! Thanks for being a regular, Brandy, and you’re always kind comments!! ❤️
Love this. My dad said to me the other week oh you were never ill, every summer at my Nana’s I had all the illnesses, German measles, measles, tonsillitis, chicken pox, he was surprised 🤣 will definitely be making these thank you
Hi Gayle! Like what you are making for the first ephemera piece. But I'm going have to finish watching tomorrow. Just been too busy today and now it's really too late. I will comment more tomorrow. Hope you have a wonderful Monday! God Bless! Sue :)
Loved the first episodes, keep them coming! I think it was you, Gayle, who asked for people to tell you of themes we might like you to approach. Well, it occurred to me that as journal makers we all do quite a lot about the countryside, flowers, birds etc.but to my relatively new eyes, no one looks at the shore line or the sea. Now that’s a challenge. Just adore your videos Gayle, hearing the snippets about your family and getting inspiration from what you create, keep going! Love Jill
Ooooo - look at the owl. 😉😂🤣 I don’t even think you realised how that came out... but I giggled out loud!!! 😜🤣 I love this idea. A very fun way to use 6 x 6 paper. TFS!!! Hugs, Sharon 🌷💜
Good Morning Lady, and all..... not going to be around much today, but thought I was watch this while I'm getting ready..... it's my Birthday~~ and I'm out :)~ tfs the new series.... us newbies need ideas, even if we are dumb enough to share them on social media, not knowing what were doing yet! hehehehehe
Hi Gayle, Love the Video and making the ephemera cards! Looking forward to more in your series! Prayers for the little ones . Can’t imagine 2 sick at the same time.
OH!!! Gayle I'm going to love this series on making ephemera, I just happen to be going paper craft shopping tomorrow, who'd have thought you'd help me out like this..thank you for your ideas and laughter. xxx
I am creating along with you. This is a fantastic idea for a series. Just want to jump in about the Project Life cards. Project Life is a type of pocket scrapbooking which was invented by Becky Higgins and it was a simple way to document. It contained 3x4 and 4xx6 cards and you added photos in the same size. It branched out and became a way to scrapbook and embellishments and lots of things were added. I have done it for about 10 years.
It wasn’t on purpose. 🥴. Most of my folks prefer my hour long, but you can always watch in segments, pause and come back later. Thanks for watching! ❤️
Love it!! I was just rewatching some of your older ephemera making videos...so this came at a perfect time! Just love watching your videos Gayle no matter what the topic.
oh i LOVE the story behind CinnamonT/Cinnamon Toast! that is definitely a comforting/cozy, and fond memory from my childhood days. my mom would cut the cinnamon toast corner to corner to make 4 smaller pieces when we weren't feeling good. CinnamonT is a perfect name for your etsy shop Gayle, you have a very comforting personality for sure-one of the reasons us subbies luv you bunches! an idea for where to put your corrugated cardboard line stamp...maybe you could punch a small hole at the top-string a piece of ribbon or something thru that and hang it on a thumbtack right next to you? ok, on to part 2. thanks for doing this series-super excited!
GAYLE U MAKE ME FEEL A WARM FRIEND, FROM ACROSS THE WORLD, YOUR VIDEOS ARE SO WONDERFUL, IM A HORIZONTAL CRAFTER 😂 IM PRETTY MUCH BED RIDDEN, YOU BRING HAPPINESS TO ME IN YOUR VIDEOS, IDEAS, INSPIRATION I PUT TO GOOD USE MAKING MY JOURNALS, EPHEMERA. GOD GIVES FOLK LIKE TO THOSE WHO CANT GO OUT, BRINGS YOU INTO OUR HOMES. BLESS YOU. 💜CAMILLE AUSTRALIA †
So many ideas! Oh, and I just wanted to let you know that your video from the other day was not blurry for me. But even if it was, it would still be fun to watch.
oh my gosh.....at the age of 27, my youngest daughter who was just home in Aug for her birthday, wanted cinnamon sugar toast for breakfast. Talk about flash back, but she's apparently not alone! I'm glad to know your etsy shop, I just favorited it. You should keep it in your video signature so other's can find it too!
Gayle I get so inspired by you! I love your idea book and basket. I've been looking to make a book for just that, IDEAS. Would it be possible for you to make one so I can see how it's done. I'm fairly new to all this journal making, ephemera and everything that goes with it and would like to make and save ideas I come across. Tfs everything that you make. Hugs 🤗💖
Hi Marisol! My best advice in an idea book is to make a journal with all blank pages, so you can attach pocket, tag etc ideas to the pages. I’d refer you to my playlist Tutorial for simple beginner journals. Then to my playlist Making Ephemera for ideas to fill it. Hope that helps! ❤️
Love the video and how you called your channels, personally I hate cinnamon and can’t eat anything with it in, I hold my breath when walking passed Cinnabon🤣 I’m just starting a junk journal and this video is really helpful
I must have been behind the barn door and missed this one and this is exactly what I’ve been begging everyone to share. My short term memory has slipped off a cliff somewhere and I can’t seem to recall a thing. Instructions seep deeply amongst my inks and foam brushes. What to do? What to do? I’m settling in to be inspired and entertained and hopefully I’ll trip over my Glue Stick that’s rolled off with one the Seven Dwarfs. Maybe my Prince Charming will bring me a couple of his!! I’ve sent some birdies to bring me his scattered playing cards, cuz I need the Kings/Queens/Jokers. He’s informed me I’m not to touch his chess pieces. Where do I find real but flat ones?
I’m thinkin a Goodwill trio for a chippy bargain chess set and lay the box with pieces in the gutter in a plastic bag along our maintenance guys run..... squishier.... then cupcakes for them... chippy, wee pawns cluster pieces for me!!!
Yummies and soooo exquisite!! WOW I can't believe that you are doing a series I hear different ephemeral this is going to be so much fun I'm so excited! 🧡🍁🐿️💛🍂
Gayle, I've only been watching your videos for a short period if time but I live them all. Even though I know they are recorded as opposed to livestream but the way you talk to us it's like being there with you during a livestream. Thanks ago much for sharing your ideas and projects with all of its! I do have one question....what kind of sponge is that you use when you ink the edges?
Yes!! I craft with you ...Looking forward to new series!! Question: where did you get that beautiful BIG RED line stamp?? It's not in your favorite things.
GAYLE, if you cut the notch out before you glue or wait till the cards dry from the glue before you use the punch it will go much smoother for you and will cut easier. ❤😉🤗
I love your videos! Thank you for taking your time out to share with us and teach us new techniques! I wondering if I could make a video request? I see several youtubers making lapbook journals out of old books. I was wondering if you could make one out of cardboard?
Etsy is my go to for such things. Just search what you are looking for and you’ll likely find a seller. For instance, search Christmas fabric scraps and multiple sellers come up. ❤️
Your subbie asked about ephemera and suggested a video, I'm thinking she meant ideas for ephemera , things such as ticket stubs , game pieces, playing cards , postage stamps, receipts, cigar bands, cigarette cards , tea cards .... ( I prefer authentic but they could be printed or created ), As opposed to embellishments such as truck spots, pockets , banners, belly bands . Either way thus will be a fun series
I wanted to tell you how much I enjoy your Videos. I am learning so much and I find your videos really relaxing. Thank you for that😊. What did you use to make the lines. A piece of cardboard? 😊
Welcome to my channel! I’m so glad you’re here! ❤️
So fun to make!
