His game is so polished now. The layup package nowadays with contact instead of the up and under is less risky when it comes to injuries. So this is by no means a bad thing.

His whole game is different from Cleveland and Boston, and even his first year in Brooklyn, his game now is very matured, you even see that he doesn’t dribble and show off how flashy his handle is and that everybody knows it is, his game now represents getting to your shots, slow and steady and at his own pace, he’s very poised and much mature as a player, game is so smooth and rugged and the same time, but don’t forget his does in fact have the deepest bag in the league so he can hop back in forth if need be but I like new kyrie, game ‼️

Bro facts hate how people be like oh cavs kyrie is better , no cavs kyrie was more flashy , this version of kyrie is his best version because he can do that but he’s more interested in getting to his shots , he plays at his own pace fast slow , he gets to his spots much easier

@@ysktv2.056 when he is on the court he plays at an MVP level. Just haven't played a full season showing it. Even when they lost in 1st round all the games were close. If Ben was there they would have won I believe. They also didn't have Harris or Aldridge. Celtics zoned the mid range area so KD and Kyrie couldn't get to their spots. KD and Kyrie play make for others but who is going to play make for them? When kyrie has the ball who is he going to pass to? KD when he is doubled? vice versa. No playmaker to set up KD and Kyrie. No ball movement, screens, pin downs, etc. Celtics wanted the others to score. KD and Kyrie we're forced to play hero ball.
The Celtics had a DPOY, Superstar, Allstar, and depth. Was a team effort. The issue is the nets have no depth or defense. That's why KD didn't trust GM and coach and wanted to leave. Hero ball ain't going to work. The nets were legit in a rebuild going into the playoffs.
The Warriors won because they had a playmaker. They made it easier for others and curry to score. Warriors have 4 players that can create their shot and depth. When Celtics guarded Klay and Curry they had to push their defense to the 3 point line leaving the paint open. Easy ball movement easy buckets. Out coached I guess. Lowkey gave a rant lmao. Could keep going. Media be trolling

the contact on the layup helps him. the defender’s timing is thrown off by the bump, and they either don’t jump at the right time, or don’t jump at all, giving him more leeway to finish the layups instead of having to readjust frequently

  • @zureai

It’s much easier to go straight absorbing contact with your upper body than it is run full speed and maneuver around people. Try for yourself run in a straight line and do full speed to complete stop to euro step.

Ik I wasn’t trippin. I’d say his finishing now is real polished nd mature. Jus str8 to tha basket, no unnecessary movements or dribbles anymore. 👌🏾

I saw on a IG Live with him and Kd with him saying he believes he’s a posting guard (Kobe shit) he says that when he raises up to shoot because he jumps so high he doesn’t see anyone and he feels the only person that can stop him is himself, I think his confidence in his game has evolved

This is because of the amount of lower extremity injuries he incurred by slipping contact early on in his career, he’s also bigger now then he was before
