I think you would have a frame faster starting-first attack if you wsm glitched it,works with frenzy,like with 'sin's trap laying speed...Anyway,you're one of the very few D2 youtubers that is actually good at this legendary game,all the best.
To get a faster proc of fade just go in Frigid (lot of bow ennemies). A very very cheap way to kill ubers with a frenzy barb is to use Oath (Knout would be ok) and Black (Flail would do the job).
Nice timing. I’m working on a frenzy barb right now since my smiter died at like level 50 on hc. (Lol) Wouldn’t have ever thought about the enchant prebuff, nor was I sure how easily I could do it with the weapons I have, I’m gonna make a kingslayer to go with my grief :)
I run plugy in windows mode and the version is 11.02. I have a 73 Sorceress that I made a chanter. I make a TCP/IP game with my Javazon and then I open plugy again in a new window and join the game with my chanter. Before I do that though, I take everything I need for my Java out of the shared stash and put it in the personal stash so when I open plugy again to bring the chanter in, nothing funny happens. I've only been playing for a week so my chanter isn't that good. It has a level 29 chant, 29 warmth and 29 fire mastery. That way if I run into any light immunes, I can pick them off one at a time.

I do agree about Dracs,and how Lifetap sometimes takes forever to go off.I have found myself saying "Jesus Christ,Finally!!!!" after a few close calls :P
Doesn't look that simple to me. For Grief there is no question about it. Grief have like +Damage so base damage doesn't really matter. But Last Wish have Enhance Damage% and Might Aura also gives % damage. So i think damage of the base does matter for LW.
Not really, imo. Ubers have so much life that the only effective way to kill them is with crushing blow, because CB does not deal X damage, it takes away X% of life. So it's all about stacking high % of CB, IAS and some Life Tap. Shouldn't really matter what your "paper" damage is :)
LUL Ok. To clear everything out. I didn't ask "in what base you gonna make LW for Uber Frenzy Barb?". I'm asking "in what base you would make LW if you are on Single Player Plugy?". OBVIOUSLY, you may also want to use it for Chaos or Travincal or Baal runs on Barb. Or maybe you also want to use it on Zealer Pal one day. Would you go for Colossus Blade and basically only use it on Barb (yeah i know that you can use it on some crazy two-handed zealer too. whatever). Or you gonna make it in Berserker Axe or Phase Blade for more versatility? Would you trade Indestructible Phase Blade for Higher Damage of Berserker Axe? etc... LW are pretty expensive runeword ) If you make it in SP then you gonna stuck with it for pretty long time. You can't just make a new one that easily.
There are a couple of mods now that are compatable with Pluggy, that fix Uber Tristram (UberTristramFix & D2UberMod), Available in 1.13 & 1.14 (both are compatable with PluggY, don't forget there is also a version of pluggY for 1.14 now as well).

I don't have dracul's grasp. But... I do have last wish sword. Can I do ubers with last wish and Kingslayer? I have all the other gear except the charm in stash. arreats kingslayer last wish enigma and treach and cta gore riders ghaul hide raven frost and angelic ammy and ring-2 call to arms 333 (sucks!) Perhaps i should reroll those to 6's before attempting this-big difference between 6 and 12. I do have 2 demon limb but I don't think that would help at all. I have kiras too.

You seem like a very nice guy hehe. I think i might install plugy now that im totally turned off by the bots on bnet. it sure do look nicer to play plus the purpose of self found is a good way to stay motivated. I do like d2jsp and trading but man its swarm with botters now :(

Any weapon with some cb would work. You could even go dual black if you wanted too. It will just take longer because of the lack of raw physical dmg. As long as you have a source of lifetap, open wounds, and cb with a frenzy barb and your attacking fast you should be good to go!!

Looks like a fun uber build. But so far id rather stick with my lw smiter. No need for wasted inv space for extra armor and i can hold 27 keysets so i dont have to constantly xfer keys to him. But nice build
Grief Pb, or Grief Zerker for smiter Paladin? Phase Blade(speed, less damage, less range). Zerker Axe (damage, more range, less speed) Have a 5os zerker axe, but no phase blade yet ._. Not worried about durability.
Phase hits max attack speed with no other ias. Zerker, especially low ias rolls needs 1-2 other as sources. The range of a Zerker really only matters if you’re dueling. A Zerker also doesn’t have more dmg if you’re smiting with it. Only the “damage +XXX” works with smite. You might not worry about the dura, but smite breaks weapons fast. There’s a chance the Zerker can break just from Trist. That’s annoying.
I watched many video from you and i was wondering something: You are playing on open battlenet, right ? Or is there a way to reveal map and use plugy on ladder?
The resounding downside remains. Frenzy, like zeal, hits multiple targets. That fact is GG in pvm except ubers. Smite is still unmatched for single target dmg. Edit. The only thing that comes close in single target dmg is the amazons CS... Which Is deadlier, but smite never misses. You know all this tho I'm sure. It's impressive that you made an uber frenzy baba that can take the heat. For thoes who don't know, he doesn't do enchant for the fire dmg so much as the bonus to attack rating. This build would never work with minions who also cast cold dmg curses and poison.
You farm keys from countess, summoner and Nikhlatak. You need 3 of each to open 3 portals to get 3 organs which you mute in cube to open Uber Tristram where you kill Uber Diablo, Baal, and Mephisto.
you should've used fortitude over enigma for this. more damage, defense and way cheaper and easier to find and make. also, for classic SP just download the Char editor for it and do it that way and import everything you need to do testing... Plus, ww is easier and a better option than frenzy esp with increased ias and ar, also works to kill ubers faster using gavel of pain to cast amp damage on them.
@@markblackburn2343 Smite also can’t be blocked. UBERs block about 50% of the time. So if you have decent AR (if you’re not using angelic) you might have an 80% chance to hit, cut in half by the blocking= smite kills faster.
Grief is really a PvP weapon. The best set up weapon wise is beastz main hand and lwz offhand or edeathz. You hit more frames with a beserker axe and you'll have a much higher CB rating. If you use beastz and lwz you'll be hitting higher IAS break points and also frees up glove slot for some IAS/CB gloves as lw has Lt CTC modifier. Fort over enigma any day of the week. Nice guide but realistically not the best set up.
Grief is hands down the best melee weapon whether it be PvP or pvm. If grief is in phase blade which is a good idea with frenzy barb it has a 30% ias bonus before anything is even socketed in to it already. It is a downside to frenzy it drains a weapons durability very quickly. A level 9 fanaticism from beast in berserker axe would give 29%ias. So the whole attack speed boost is moot. Last wish is just a posers weapon that would be outperformed by a etheral death sword. A cheap life tap wand or Draculs will sort out life tap procs.
“You hit more frames with berserker axe” isn’t a correct way to say what you’re saying. Zerkers have a base speed of 0. Phases are -30. Beast Z does instantly get you to max speeds, but zerkers aren’t faster than phases on their own. Grief phase is hitting max speeds as well. You won’t be hitting higher ias breakpoints with beast, you’ll be hitting the same breakpoint. Crush doesn’t add both weapons together, so your LW hand will be about 100% crush, but your beast hand will be about 50% unless you use Gface. The whole point of Enigma is the teleporting. To make the organ portion faster. Enigma also boosts life because it saves points into strength. The 2 skills + max life + Extra vita from str savings + dmg reduce also adds to making enigma a good armor for Uber’s. You also don’t seem to understand damage. Let’s ignore deadly strike and crushing blow to start with. A perfect 415 eBotd Zerker is roughly 185-550 dmg, or 365 avg. The damage+ on grief is added to min and max. A perfect grief Zerker is 24-71 +(400), 424-471 = almost 450 avg. Grief is the highest 1-handed damage in the game, the exception being an ethereal rare with close to 500 ed. But you still need good other mods on the rare to beat grief. when you consider that grief also has 20% deadly strike and % dmg to demons based on char level, you very quickly start doing so much raw damage that lots of crushing blow gets outclassed. Fort + beast isn’t doing as much damage as grief + enigma. Beast isn’t ethereal which really hurts your damage output. +% dmg to demons + str on enigma (1 pt in str = 1% Ed) = about 250 ed anyway. You’re also wearing Dracs for the OW. Gores are only 10% and can fall off.
First start off by farming keys of terror hate and destruction from the countess act1. Summoner act 2 and nihlathak act 5. Need 3 of each type of key. Then you combine 1 key terror 1 key of hate and 1 key destruction in cube. Do this 3 times. Will get 3 diff red portal. Inside these portals you need to kill uber izual uber lilith and uber duriel and get 3 organs. Then you combine all 3 organs together for a 4th red portal to uber tristram. Then you kill uber diablo uber mephisto and uber baal to drop a unique large charm which you identify for your hell fire torch. Hope that helps.
Does anybody ever use that level 30 hyrdra on the charm? Seems kind of fun but only has 10 charges. Could make like a copy cat-council sorc kind of build.
I like your details and appear to be min/maxing it all for educational purposes, but it really seems like any of your setups could have just ran through this no problem without item switching or anything. Looked like u coulda taken all 3 end bosses at the same time.
It is easier to use frenzy on the right mouse button so it auto targets new mobs...just try it pls :D sadly frenzy is way too fast for b-net with all the rubberbanding :(
I know about the auto target and its defintely nice for regular pvm. But I like to have howl on right mouse button to scatter minions to make it easier to kill mini ubers. personal preference. ty for the feedback
Iirc, grief has ignore target defense. Unless that mod doesn't work on uber bosses, why stack AR when you don't need it with itd? Unless I'm super wrong. Been a while since I played vanilla d2 lol
Ignore target defense does not work on champions boss packsnsuper uniques bosses and ubers. Just works on normal monsters. Need to stack that ar lol :)
Or i think it only works half effectiveness of champions and boss packs and superuniques but not at all on bosses or ubers. I cant honeslty remember. I just know it doesnt work on ubers 100 percent lol.
If something has an "X% chance on (hit/striking/etc)", when it casts it's called a "proc". So for example with Dracul gloves it has a 5% chance to cast Life Tap, so when Life Tap casts you say that your Dracul's proc'd.
Cool idea with that shout. Best option is to farm organs with barb (no conviction aura so u dont need treachery) and then switch to smiter for last portal. Dont really understand why u stack ow if u have prevent monster to heal.

@@atrax5825 Are you cubing archons first 3 soc? Nothing wrong with sup Mage Plate, always gets 3 soc from Larzuk, and you usually don’t need any points in str to use it. “Farming” a superior 3 soc archon isn’t really viable. I’ve found one 15 Ed 3 soc in about a decade of playing.
I have never seen this uber diablo mephisto and baal before. Could you do a video about how to get those portals and what youre doing? I used to play long long ago but have never seen this before. Or maybe you would be kind enough to explain it here? Either way, i would really appreciate it.
Dude u need to switch out one of those weapon for a Beast naga with fanatism aura.... it's the best shit ever. I used to solo ubers too and it made a huge difference...... oh and throw away the angelics u don't need it since fanatism aura will boost speed and make up for the low hit rate
I build mine way differently. I use 1 hardpoint double swing synergized with 20 point bash, only use frenzy (lvl 9) to get my attack speed and movement speed going, and than it's double attacks at 5.5 frames per second (or, in other words, pretty much double the speed of Frenzy), it will also ensure life tap procs much more consistently. You can achieve 5 frames but 5.5 frames only requires 15% more ias on gear. I use dual superior ethereal death ettin axes, which due to their high damage 50% deadly strike and 50% crushing blow greatly outdamage any grief setup. I use Fortitude in Sacred armor and max Shout and Battle orders which when prebuffed gives high defense alongside the big health pool for about 10 minutes. I use G face (15% ias jewel) and upped Gore riders to achieve 80% ds and 100% crushing blow, add to that the 22% critical strike from axe mastery. I use Metal grid for a boost in attack rating and defense and resistances. One ravenfrost, other ring a wisp projector (or good rare with str life stats). Lastly the Draculs Grasp and either upped String of ears or Verdungo's. I choose to put the rest of my points into natural resist which if reaching lvl 99 will provide 70 resist.
@@dudditz If you want to reach 100 cb than yes you do, as the 50% of death doesn't carry over to the other weapon, same with on weapon deadly strike and openwounds.
@@Doppe1ganger I think Marc’s point is that Gface can be replaced by Arreats for a huge upgrade to defense/survivability, and only a slight downgrade in offense- if it is in fact a downgrade. You’re basically close to max deadly with death + gores + mastery. And the bonus crushing blow from gface becomes less relevant once you get them down to 25% health. Arreats is going to add a couple % to your chance to hit, which is a big deal. Ettin’s are so slow, that using Highlords and swapping to Goblin Toes might be a faster setup also.

Perhaps due to the cryptics base damage over the pb wich goes way below, until you add the grief's +xxx damage to it.

Wizspikes are unique daggers 50 fcr but no +skills.

You can use jewelry with 20+ strength to re-equip enigma instead of adding points to strength

Looks like a fun uber build. But so far id rather stick with my lw smiter. No need for wasted inv space for extra armor and i can hold 27 keysets so i dont have to constantly xfer keys to him. But nice build
You can proc fade outside of act 5 town.
Grief Pb, or Grief Zerker for smiter Paladin? Phase Blade(speed, less damage, less range). Zerker Axe (damage, more range, less speed) Have a 5os zerker axe, but no phase blade yet ._. Not worried about durability.
Phase hits max attack speed with no other ias. Zerker, especially low ias rolls needs 1-2 other as sources.
The range of a Zerker really only matters if you’re dueling. A Zerker also doesn’t have more dmg if you’re smiting with it. Only the “damage +XXX” works with smite.
You might not worry about the dura, but smite breaks weapons fast. There’s a chance the Zerker can break just from Trist. That’s annoying.

It's single player.
The resounding downside remains. Frenzy, like zeal, hits multiple targets. That fact is GG in pvm except ubers. Smite is still unmatched for single target dmg.
Edit. The only thing that comes close in single target dmg is the amazons CS... Which Is deadlier, but smite never misses. You know all this tho I'm sure. It's impressive that you made an uber frenzy baba that can take the heat.
For thoes who don't know, he doesn't do enchant for the fire dmg so much as the bonus to attack rating. This build would never work with minions who also cast cold dmg curses and poison.
How do you initiate Uber’s? I don’t remember that being in the game back in the day. We’d do Cow level and Baal runs. DClone
You farm keys from countess, summoner and Nikhlatak. You need 3 of each to open 3 portals to get 3 organs which you mute in cube to open Uber Tristram where you kill Uber Diablo, Baal, and Mephisto.

you should've used fortitude over enigma for this. more damage, defense and way cheaper and easier to find and make. also, for classic SP just download the Char editor for it and do it that way and import everything you need to do testing... Plus, ww is easier and a better option than frenzy esp with increased ias and ar, also works to kill ubers faster using gavel of pain to cast amp damage on them.
I totally prefer a zealer/smiter the paladin is just so versatile and epic.

Frenzy barb is just as effective as a pala for ubers. The only advantage is smite doesn't require attack rating to land a hit.

Smite also can’t be blocked. UBERs block about 50% of the time. So if you have decent AR (if you’re not using angelic) you might have an 80% chance to hit, cut in half by the blocking= smite kills faster.

Grief is really a PvP weapon.
The best set up weapon wise is beastz main hand and lwz offhand or edeathz.
You hit more frames with a beserker axe and you'll have a much higher CB rating.
If you use beastz and lwz you'll be hitting higher IAS break points and also frees up glove slot for some IAS/CB gloves as lw has Lt CTC modifier.
Fort over enigma any day of the week.
Nice guide but realistically not the best set up.
Grief is hands down the best melee weapon whether it be PvP or pvm.
If grief is in phase blade which is a good idea with frenzy barb it has a 30% ias bonus before anything is even socketed in to it already. It is a downside to frenzy it drains a weapons durability very quickly. A level 9 fanaticism from beast in berserker axe would give 29%ias. So the whole attack speed boost is moot.
Last wish is just a posers weapon that would be outperformed by a etheral death sword. A cheap life tap wand or Draculs will sort out life tap procs.
“You hit more frames with berserker axe” isn’t a correct way to say what you’re saying. Zerkers have a base speed of 0. Phases are -30.
Beast Z does instantly get you to max speeds, but zerkers aren’t faster than phases on their own.
Grief phase is hitting max speeds as well. You won’t be hitting higher ias breakpoints with beast, you’ll be hitting the same breakpoint.
Crush doesn’t add both weapons together, so your LW hand will be about 100% crush, but your beast hand will be about 50% unless you use Gface.
The whole point of Enigma is the teleporting. To make the organ portion faster. Enigma also boosts life because it saves points into strength. The 2 skills + max life + Extra vita from str savings + dmg reduce also adds to making enigma a good armor for Uber’s.
You also don’t seem to understand damage. Let’s ignore deadly strike and crushing blow to start with.
A perfect 415 eBotd Zerker is roughly 185-550 dmg, or 365 avg.
The damage+ on grief is added to min and max. A perfect grief Zerker is 24-71 +(400), 424-471 = almost 450 avg.
Grief is the highest 1-handed damage in the game, the exception being an ethereal rare with close to 500 ed. But you still need good other mods on the rare to beat grief.
when you consider that grief also has 20% deadly strike and % dmg to demons based on char level, you very quickly start doing so much raw damage that lots of crushing blow gets outclassed.
Fort + beast isn’t doing as much damage as grief + enigma.
Beast isn’t ethereal which really hurts your damage output.
+% dmg to demons + str on enigma (1 pt in str = 1% Ed) = about 250 ed anyway.
You’re also wearing Dracs for the OW. Gores are only 10% and can fall off.

How do you open all those red portals to the uber places?
First start off by farming keys of terror hate and destruction from the countess act1. Summoner act 2 and nihlathak act 5. Need 3 of each type of key. Then you combine 1 key terror 1 key of hate and 1 key destruction in cube. Do this 3 times. Will get 3 diff red portal. Inside these portals you need to kill uber izual uber lilith and uber duriel and get 3 organs. Then you combine all 3 organs together for a 4th red portal to uber tristram. Then you kill uber diablo uber mephisto and uber baal to drop a unique large charm which you identify for your hell fire torch. Hope that helps.

I like your details and appear to be min/maxing it all for educational purposes, but it really seems like any of your setups could have just ran through this no problem without item switching or anything. Looked like u coulda taken all 3 end bosses at the same time.
It is easier to use frenzy on the right mouse button so it auto targets new mobs...just try it pls :D sadly frenzy is way too fast for b-net with all the rubberbanding :(
I know about the auto target and its defintely nice for regular pvm. But I like to have howl on right mouse button to scatter minions to make it easier to kill mini ubers. personal preference. ty for the feedback

What is Proc-ing?
If something has an "X% chance on (hit/striking/etc)", when it casts it's called a "proc". So for example with Dracul gloves it has a 5% chance to cast Life Tap, so when Life Tap casts you say that your Dracul's proc'd.
Cool idea with that shout. Best option is to farm organs with barb (no conviction aura so u dont need treachery) and then switch to smiter for last portal. Dont really understand why u stack ow if u have prevent monster to heal.
Prevent monster heal doesnt work on ubers. Only works on d clone

Nothing wrong with sup Mage Plate, always gets 3 soc from Larzuk, and you usually don’t need any points in str to use it.
“Farming” a superior 3 soc archon isn’t really viable. I’ve found one 15 Ed 3 soc in about a decade of playing.

Dude u need to switch out one of those weapon for a Beast naga with fanatism aura.... it's the best shit ever. I used to solo ubers too and it made a huge difference...... oh and throw away the angelics u don't need it since fanatism aura will boost speed and make up for the low hit rate

I build mine way differently. I use 1 hardpoint double swing synergized with 20 point bash, only use frenzy (lvl 9) to get my attack speed and movement speed going, and than it's double attacks at 5.5 frames per second (or, in other words, pretty much double the speed of Frenzy), it will also ensure life tap procs much more consistently. You can achieve 5 frames but 5.5 frames only requires 15% more ias on gear. I use dual superior ethereal death ettin axes, which due to their high damage 50% deadly strike and 50% crushing blow greatly outdamage any grief setup. I use Fortitude in Sacred armor and max Shout and Battle orders which when prebuffed gives high defense alongside the big health pool for about 10 minutes. I use G face (15% ias jewel) and upped Gore riders to achieve 80% ds and 100% crushing blow, add to that the 22% critical strike from axe mastery. I use Metal grid for a boost in attack rating and defense and resistances. One ravenfrost, other ring a wisp projector (or good rare with str life stats). Lastly the Draculs Grasp and either upped String of ears or Verdungo's.
I choose to put the rest of my points into natural resist which if reaching lvl 99 will provide 70 resist.

I think Marc’s point is that Gface can be replaced by Arreats for a huge upgrade to defense/survivability, and only a slight downgrade in offense- if it is in fact a downgrade. You’re basically close to max deadly with death + gores + mastery.
And the bonus crushing blow from gface becomes less relevant once you get them down to 25% health. Arreats is going to add a couple % to your chance to hit, which is a big deal.
Ettin’s are so slow, that using Highlords and swapping to Goblin Toes might be a faster setup also.
