I sided with Genghis Khan on my first playthrough and ended up running into him three more times in other star systems later on. I have to say, I was pretty stoked to see there be some (although relatively minor) consequences from my decision down the line.
I sided with him and then my game glitched, and I couldn't complete the mission unless i reloaded the game and killed him siding with one of the others. did you encounter any issues with your playthrough?
Would've been interesting if they chose to clone Hitler. Especially because almost every person I know who's played Starfield sided with Genghis Khan. I'm curious to see how many people would give Hitler's clone(s) a chance.
Nef, Ada Lovelace is THE first computer programmer. Babbage tried, but Ada beat him to the punch (literally) Also, I think I'd have really liked to see Bass Reeves as one of the clones (and recruitable, like Amelia Earheart). Pirates would be shitting themselves all across the Systems. ;)
I am stuck on Alchiba just right now. I need level my Astrodynamics and Piloting skils to travel to Zelasny. This quest IS AWESOME. And is connected with Vanguard story. Crucible is a big lab on clone development Starfield history.
Hadrian isn't a direct clone. She even says right after she says she is a clone that that isn't a good discription of what she is. She is essentially a lab grown baby using Vae Victus' genetic material mixed with other genetic matieral. She is his child with extra steps.
Wished you can recuit all leaders and then some more leaders in future dlc Of course its end game area and clones with some extra skills, so they all being somewhat OP would be balanced. Can't wait for mods to add extra historical people to recruit and be OP. When mod support comes, now i want to make a mod of kamino with a a rip off of basically jango fetts with the best soliders of earth / post earth.
This could have been a great part of the game. Should have been a liveable settlement where you can build your own clone workers and companions using the face creator, then giving them traits. Sigh.
I would welcome a spoiler if anyone knows whether my choice to keep HH whatever his name was secret has bad consequences. I plan to fly back there and check it out after some time passes.
Even if is it full of holes, I like those kind of quest clearly in the idea of Fallout shelter experiments, I wish there would be way more of them in the game. The desilusions of the scientists, and the nostalgia speaks also volume about the writers of the story, clearly biaised with current politics with the inclusion of some characters like Ada. We can reject all this no-senses on the crazy scientists hopefully but a few notes here for complement: - The scientist clearly see the UC as an Hostile force as said in one of the message, so it seems to me they knew that from the UC perspective their experiment was fully illegal. - The whole nurture vs nature make no sense if you give them memories... You have to let the genes express themselves to see if the behaviors is the same in a different context. - Like with Gengis, there is no way they would have found the genetic material of most of those people... - The leadership search make no sense with Holmes, Ada and Amelia. - What's the point of Amelia? Having starship knowledge once they can leave the planet one day? - Why the hell Ada is relevent? Any 21st century computer scientist PHD clone would do a better job than her on the programming part. - And why she knows how to look at the stars?? Knowing code does not make you an astrophysicist... XD - Also for me Roosevelt incarnate perfectly the politician system, the guy just want to maintain the status quo, with him the system will not evolve just stagnate. Also considering the nature vs nurture, even if it has been done countless time in other medium, would have been pretty fun to have Hitler... But I guess it was to hot to handle for Bestheda.
I did this one totally differently. I place over 100 iron and more than enough copper in the storage box with some food in the cooler that forces Sam to be there first. Then I went to do something else for awhile until I went back to bring a chunk of wine and a supernova before talking to Walter who was playing FDR. Anyways I dropped the stuff and left a Sarah gun behind a door before doing the time speech minigame and winning to get your head back. Anyways, after I got my head back from the vurrun base I came back with a Dracula book to talk to Wyett before fake death in the cave by dropping the book and some shotgun shells and clairvoyance with the rest of them. Anyways before leaving Sarah was able to commit to me but long story short. Lady Luck is gonna remember your three times in the future
Am I the only one who thinks that queen Amanirenas was chosen for the game by Bethesda in an attempt to avoid the "is Cleopatra black?" problem? Clever solution on their part, IMO. While it might be cowardly on their part (I personally would would have shown Cleopatra as mostly Greek with just a little bit of black african as that's somewhat historically feasible) to sidestep taking sides, they did a good job of it by bringing to light a historical character I've never heard of before. On the other hand, it's also relaxing that Bethesda didn't just "sell out" to the view opposing my own, which would happen to some of the gaming populace regardless of their choice.
Beyond the yas queen problem, it is clearly a attempt to make people believe those people were relevant, same with Ada who is used as the usual pro feminist argument while very largely creating a background for them that did not exist to make them look like they are interesting. The truth is that we don't know much about them today, there is no reason to have used those characters for the "mission". Scientist like Marie Curie, or Tesla would have make more sense. Hell Queen Elizabeth or Victoria would have made more sense. But as a writer you need to push your idiological views on people you know...
i fully agree with you - i appreciate learning about Amanirenas but i would've enjoyed it even more if they just stopped trying to sidestep a debate & didn't constantly settle with a bunch of cop-outs...like c'mon bethesda, just go with cleopatra, you won't get "cancelled."
Dude starfield could've done the austrian painter himself fucken 4th riech or donald trump running for president of the UC or fidel castro running the crimson fleet would be sick
what does the world economic forum have to do with this? or does this acronym mean something else, I doubt a forum of bankers and economists exists in starfield
when i played this quest, something went wrong after you attack gangis khan when you try to meet the other people you will be attack by all of the settlement, and please do not fast travel it will make all of the settlement attack you, i been attack twice and the quest is very lag and sometime will crash for a little while, not optimize, not sure what happen here
If you enter your ship and then exit everyone will be reset and you can finish the mission. I had to do it 3 times but it worked and I completed the whole quest.
A sure fire way to fix this is to enter your ship, sleep 5 hrs, and then go back out. Just entering and exiting doesn't always work. Also, this has nothing to do with your choices in the quest. It is a known bug that randomly causes everyone to go hostile. They really need to fix it if they haven't already. Edit: God help you if you run into the glitched door bug here. The ways to fix it are not easy, and I had to just reload way back and hope I didn't trigger it again.
I what was an otherwise near perfect narration of the story line, you let slip an interpretation that is false. For that I had to give you a thumbs down.
If millions of copies sold on launch day is a failure, I really really really hope I fail this hard some day. You are more than welcome to found a development company and show em how its done Captain Armchair Coder.

If you shoot him down, you'll still encounter him the same way later.
I sided with him and then my game glitched, and I couldn't complete the mission unless i reloaded the game and killed him siding with one of the others. did you encounter any issues with your playthrough?
they also talk about him in SSNN
This might just be the one situation where the “kill everyone” option is the most ethical option.
I'm like 80% sure whoever made this settlement watched Clone High beforehand and couldn't get it out of their head.
You are my favorite Star field lore person. I have been a nerd for a long time. Keep it up, or I'll be sad
If you side with the renegades you can still talk Franklin down and have his faction become neutral.
When I heard Ada I thought she somehow got there from the Commonwealth lol
we need more quests around the settled systems into this lore would be good
A DLC Genghis arc would be tight.
Would've been interesting if they chose to clone Hitler. Especially because almost every person I know who's played Starfield sided with Genghis Khan. I'm curious to see how many people would give Hitler's clone(s) a chance.

Brilliant analysis of the complex moral issues with this mission 👍 Will point out though that Amelia states why she has knowledge of starships
This was a great video!! I’ve been enjoying all your videos as I’ve been progressing my playthrough!
Hadrian isn't a direct clone. She even says right after she says she is a clone that that isn't a good discription of what she is. She is essentially a lab grown baby using Vae Victus' genetic material mixed with other genetic matieral. She is his child with extra steps.
This reminded me of a Fallout vault story
Check out the names on the cloning chambers sometime.
Not seen this yet but this reminds me of Wax World from Red Dwarf.

Awesome!!!
Crucible??
*Ahem*
"MORE GRENADES!!!!"
Great video !
If they were gonna clone anyone it should’ve been Tesla. Imagine how much further tech could’ve gotten in the Starfield Universe
Jangus khan. Steve brule
People are not their parents but the apple doesn't fall far from the tree.
i just played this one last night
👍

Jangus Khan.... Bruh....
I feel like that idea wouldnt even work lol, the UC would just bap them back.
why'd does it give me 25% of the screen on full screen and the rest is black :/
I would welcome a spoiler if anyone knows whether my choice to keep HH whatever his name was secret has bad consequences. I plan to fly back there and check it out after some time passes.
Did they fix this quest line

I guess they got, at least somewhat, what they wanted.
I had never heard of this woman before.
Dude starfield could've done the austrian painter himself fucken 4th riech or donald trump running for president of the UC or fidel castro running the crimson fleet would be sick
I couldn’t choose anything. The quest is broken. Thanks Bethesda.
Why does all of this lore seem like I’m watching a WEF address

U have three ways in this quest. U need choose the right one to get pacifist solution. All others end in a massacre.

Damn this game failed miserably even in worldbuilding
Total fiasco from Todd and BGS
Uh... it sold millions of copies and has gamers spending hundreds of hours playing it. What's your metric for failure?
