Great tutorial, thanks for putting this together. The one thing that stumped me for a second is that the Timeline at the bottom isn't present for me by default in Photoshop, so had to go to Window and add the tick to Timeline in order to get the options to create the animation. This is not criticism of the tutorial, but wanted to mention it here in case anyone else was scratching their head a bit at that step like I was. ;)
Ok, I was able to load all of my JPG files in and create the animation, however, all of the files are in reverse order! So the GIF starts at the end and goes in reverse to the beginning. I loaded my files in file-name order, which is the correct chronological order, but when the layers get pulled in, it's in reverse order. :( I can't see how to fix or change this.

Ahh! Layers -> Arrange -> Reverse took care of this!
