    Thank you Martin for doing such a quick review of our new product, Sigma V2.
    To answer some questions below the changes verses version 1.
    - improved slickness
    - improved durability to upto 9 weeks. This is surface quality dependent.
    - improved hydrophobics
    - easier to apply. This is dependent on surface quality and products you are stacking. If its a GT product then it will have synergy within the GT System.
    We strongly believe in continual product improvement (CPI) and will do so as we build out the GT System. As technology / chemistry moves on so will we. Furthermore we strongly believe that any good product and process needs to be strongly backed up by user experience. It has to be enjoyable and satisfy the senses.
    All the best,
    GT

    Out the blocks like a whippet Martin another great video, even if the guys pulled a surprise on you 👌
    I've been one of the lucky ones doing field work on Sigma V2 on customer vehicles over the past few months and I can say that 9 weeks in the winter, easy... longevity is definitely enhanced, alongside gloss depth, colour enrichment and slickness. To me the initial impression was like baby oil and even customer's have also noticed the slickness too!
    However you're right about it's not a quantum leap but if you get the chance to do a 50/50 with V1 you'll definitely notice the differences.
    Looking forward to the next generation GT products coming through too 😉

As you know I am more of a wax guy hence my love of M & K products but the GT suite of products were very good and I intend to put them onto my Mum's car as it never gets washed other than the twice yearly when I do the 300 mile round trip for a 6 hour detail. To keep pushing them on and evolving is commendable , no bullsh*t in re naming them something else and claiming its a new product when its just a variation of something in their line . I used 2 spritz on the cloth and 2 on the panel, 10 minutes later I was still trying to remove it. Hi,
      Sorry to hear you had some issues. From what you have written we believe a lot of it can be tweaked to give you a better experience.
      1. Prime the towel initially but don't add more product for ever panel to the towel as you will over saturate it with product. Use one spray per panel and two for larger panels. Remember the towel will carry the product. Less is more in this case.
      2. Use low pile towels, ideally pearl weave towel.
      3. Really make sure you work the product in so it is thinly applied and level. You will start to see the product almost flash away.
      4. If the panel is warm, work in smaller sections.
      5. If you have GT Glass or our QD, then you can use these two remove any smears very quickly.
      We hope this helps.
      Thanks,
      GT

    Just when I'd decided to run down my existing stocks of detailing products! If they say 9 weeks, I reckon, with my low mileage, you are probably talking 3 months. We are at the stage of being able to use this for each season of the year, possibly with a GT Decon shampoo before each application. Like you, though, can't see myself just washing the car in the interim between applications. Great water behaviour as well - as Forensic Detailing might say - great beadage after the buffage!

    sigma v2 out of stock in most places at present. Have you ever used GT Three Ceramic Sealant? Just wondered how Sigma V2 compares with the ceramic sealant. I’m presuming Ceramic Sealant is more fussy to apply. If it’s not, I’d be tempted to try it ahead of Sigma.

      Hi, yep I have used and have a video on GT 3 ceramic sealant, in fact I helped in the product trials. Compared to modern products I personally find it a little too fussy to apply. If you are looking for something that has a reasonable longevity then have you tried soft99 Fusso wax???

      @ObsessiveCarDetailer  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Thanks mate. I really like Beadmaker and also have most of a gallon left on the shelf but Sigma & Bouncers DDSi are both better products in my opinion. Both DDSi & Sigma last a lot longer on the car and both are slicker. The advantage of Beadmaker is that you can use it as a drying aid where as both of the other two need to be kept dry for a couple of hours after application. I think there is a place on the shelf for both Beadmaker & Sigma. You could apply Sigma maybe every forth wash to keep good levels of protection on the car and Beadmaker on every other wash as a sacrificial layer. Hope my rambling make sense

    Hi Martin, another great video, thank you. As Sigma contains Si02 can the 'putting on' microfiber cloth be used again on paintwork after cloth has been washed. I was wondering if the Si02 would harden the microfiber and ruin it.

    • @GarageTherapyOfficial
      @GarageTherapyOfficial 2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Hi Chris,
      Our waterbased SIO2 products have siloxanes, polymers and other silicone additives that do not harden like a silozane / quartz based coating would. The advantages of this is they are easy to apply outside and do not ruin your towels. What we recommend generally is to wash the towels after each use. This will cut down on contaminants getting into the fibres and scratching the paint. Also it will prevent the towels from getting hydrophobic.

    • @ObsessiveCarDetailer
      @ObsessiveCarDetailer  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Hi Chris, great question. I have a set of towels (Rag Co Pearl) that I use for applying products as well as microfibre applicators. I always drop the towel in the remains of my contact wash bucket to soak directly after use. Then when I clear up I rinse them before putting them in the washing machine. I always wash my towels as soon as I finish clearing up. The applicators (£1.99) are almost disposable, although I rinse and wash them I then continue to use them on things like exterior plastic, metal polish or boot cleaning but never again on my paintwork . Hope that is of some use mate
