I love the way that Godzilla was portrayed in this movie. Yes, he's still an unstoppable menace that will destroy the world if you let him, but he's also the Earth's last line of defense to defend against stuff like Ghidorah or SpaceGodzilla. I really feel like they should continue this in other movies.
Exactly. This whole heisei era was golden. From Return of Godzilla/ Godzilla 1985 all the way up to Godzilla versus destroyer. To me it's the perfect complete Godzilla story. Or Trilogy story you know what I mean LOL
Basically the Heisei Era treats him like a dog. If you leave him to himself, he’ll cause chaos. But he can do good when the time comes.

R.I.P Kenpachiro Satsuma, aka the actor who played Godzilla in the Heisei era, which is my personal favorite time for Godzilla. He definitely made Godzilla more awesome for me, and his contributions to this franchise will forever be legendary.😪❤️

@@sarahbelle81 Godzilla's theme is the longest used character/movie theme in cinematic history - From 1954 all the way to the present. It stood the test of time because it is legendarily iconic and every Godzilla fan adores it. No other Godzilla theme could possibly compare to this classic.
It is impossible for this theme to be 'run into the ground.' It is almost convention to use it whenever possible in a Godzilla film, otherwise it sucks the grandeur right out of it all. I remember when Godzilla 2014 was still in production, and damn near EVERY Godzilla fan hoped his classic theme would make a return. It didn't. Proved to be a big letdown. But thankfully we got to hear it in all its glory in King of the Monsters, and subsequently helped make it a perfect Godzilla film.
Music can make a character. Like Imperial March is binded eternally to Darth Vader, Godzilla without his classic theme, is just not Godzilla.
It can't be run into the ground, it's the Godzilla THEME. It just needs to be there when it needs to be there.

So much power and intimidation erupts from this theme, which shows the force that Godzilla is, Nearly unstoppable.
+Etor Christie Really? As a musician and composer of music, I don't hear very much power or any intimidation factor in this theme. I hear a military march meant to accompany the Japanese military fighting against Godzilla, as that is exactly what Akira Ifukube first wrote it for back in 1954. The first time this theme became synonymous with Godzilla was 1975 when it was played for the first time in conjunction with his arrival when he blasted Titanosaurus with his atomic breath and appeared out of the darkness of the city's skyline. But does this theme exude power and intimidation? Not really. It's actually more jaunty than anything else, like you could dance to it. Since March music is meant to be marched to, what do you expect?
Shadow07Warrior1989 In my eyes i see power and intimidation. Mainly this version though, the 1975 version is a little cheerful. But the reason why this one i feel sounds powerful, is how the track slowly grows faster. Like Godzilla is moving deeper into the city, and there is nothing you can do about it.
True in many respects I suppose. Given that it's still a military march, I really don't hear much intimidation, though this version does have some nice tension with the strings in the beginning versus other versions. Still, it's less intimidating to me than suspenseful. He's lurking beneath the sea, ready and waiting to unleash his wrath. To me that's how this one sounds I guess. Less like he's HERE in our faces and more like he's on his way, ready to tear us apart.

The beginning of the theme really makes you feel his presence.

That one scene when Godzilla came ashore and was walking through the area was really amazing it just showing how truly large he was and it was also really funny seeing him walk past a farm spooking the cows now that was an interesting touch as before Godzilla vs. King Ghidorah came out that was never seen or even ever happened in a Godzilla movie before so a lot of respect to the people who made this movie and great job to the people of Toho Studios and I hope to one day see another Godzilla film one day.

@@Gojirawars03 while most Heisei suits look similar, I would say he probably looked at his worse around 1993 in the heisei era, that suit was basically a downgraded 1992 suit, his limbs were thin making his thick body make him fat, his spines are too similar, and my problem since the 1992 suit is that his head is flatter, and his eyes are too cutesy really

akira lfukube was an absolute Legend not only did he write debated Lee the most iconic piece of music associated with a franchise and yes I stand by that because how old is it in it still being used
But he gave Godzilla his voice and he did so much with limited resources and time I don't think John Williams could have done is good if he had akira lfukubes limited resources the man truly deserves to be remembered in the same breath is Jerry Goldsmith and John Williams it's sad he will never get the recognition

Alexandre Desplat will be composing the music. They have to bring the "March" back. Akira Ifukube is uniquely tied to Godzilla. Interestingly, Akira was poisoned by radiation himself in the 1940s in a twist of irony.
He is also the person who invented the Godzilla roar.
Godzilla comes alive when the "March" is played.
