I know the arrangements are brilliant and the performers are possibly from another planet.. but Ravel's music is exceptionally gorgeous on the guitar. So much so that if one believes in an afterlife, one has to consider that Ravel must still be languishing in purgatory for not having composed specifically for the guitar. (Also, I wonder what the Rhapsodie Espagnole would sound like on two guitars),
I couldn’t agree more, it almost seems like the music was written for guitar. There is actually a lovely solo version of Rhapsodie Espagnole on TH-cam I believe. We are also in the process of arranging some more Ravel for our next album, to be released in 2024. Stay tuned!! Thanks for your wonderful comment.
