Loved the energy you bring for sure. Just to touch on the ring issue for future CNAs watching, it's important not to wear jewelry at all, which you learn in school, because jewelry can scratch, cut or cause abrasions on the residents skin which is a no no especially for diabetics. Also, I noticed in the beginning that you sprayed yourself with fragrance. That's also a HUGE no no as a resident can be allergic or have an adverse skin reaction to whatever it is you're spraying on yourself. Other than that, keep being a bright light! ❤
Thank you so much🫶🏾 absolutely agree! I only had about 4 patients, when I worked in a hospital setting I didn’t wear my wedding ring, perfume etc. Good point!
I am so glad I found you I have been thinking about becoming a CNA working with kids and so I am like researching everything about it and videos like this one Thank you for sharing and I will love for you to please give me some advice you have to learn about becoming a CNA. Thank you 🙇
Hey! It’s okay, it was a nursing home that housed about 5 people I believe. Us as CNA were able to administer medication through training and we were responsible for preparing breakfast, Lunch and dinner + snack. As well as showering, bed baths and ROM. I was getting paid 16$ a lot of places here in AK have low pay, unless you go to the hospital.
I don’t know if NP is Worth spending all my life time for because i have tried youtube l associates and some others and still failed 4 attempt. I feel so frustrated don't know what to do anymore don’t even have time for my own kids any more 💔💔💔😔😔.
Frustration is a very positive sign. It means that the solution to your problem is within range, but what you're currently doing isn't working, and you need to change your approach in order to achieve your goal.
I have a cousin who never studied much, we studied together but she gives most of her time to her phone than her studies after writing the RPN test last month she passed and i failed😢, i asked her how she did it, just found out she got help from Mrs Cynthia
I just want you’ll to know that if you are out there and you are being really hard on yourself right now for something that has happened … it’s normal. That is what is going to happen to you in life. No one gets through unscathed. We are all going to have a few scratches on us. Please be kind to yourselves and stand up for yourself, please.
i definitely feel like cooking is my weakness and especially doing it while i’m like dead beat tired will be a challenge but is that required? can they eat yogurt or something? thx
about to start school for personal support worker (canadian version of a CNA) how have u handled working nights? has it taken a toll on ur body? thanks !!x
Hey Congratulations!🎊 Working nights can be difficult but it depends on the person. Working nights can mix up your sleeping schedule, (I usually sleep during the day) and on my days off I have a hard time running errands cause I get tired, and my body is up at night😭Depends on your preferences. But I would would say be mindful of body mechanics and always keep in mind that although you’re trying to help these people, you still have to care for yourself. Often times people get hurt in this field because they don’t put themselves as a priority. So I would say prioritize self care days on your days off and just relaxing when you can ☺️ I’m gonna do a video about it!
Hey girl🤍 I’ve been here for about a month in a half, it’s an assisted living. Getting your license in Alaska is pretty easy considering they’re low on staff everywhere in the state.
@@AlyashaYasmeen do you like it ? I just signed my first contract I’m going to Nebraska in a few weeks . I’m hella excited I just pray everything works out for me .
Yeah it’s not bad! Definitely a new experience and it was uncomfortable getting used to new residents and a new environment but I’m sure you’ll fit in just fine love, you got this 🫶🏾
@lokeyborders I’ll be honest! You have your select few of people that are just weirdos but I haven’t come across anyone racist. Up here people seem to be very sweet and mannered but a lot of people are very sheltered so some individuals lack social cues
@AlyashaYasmeen Ohh ok. 🤭Gurl wat you mean about the weirdos😬👀?? I'm seriously thinking about wanting to do travel nursing out there. I just want to know wat I would be walking into being out there. And thank you for responding ❤️
Hey girly, honestly nurses make BANK up here in Fairbanks, but the weirdos are the ones who don’t know how to act around others🤣🤣I hate to say it but a lot of people up here are socially awkward like reallyyy awkward but super nice.
Impressed with the work ethic and the facility looks like a great place to work 🙌🏾 You go sis!
Thank you Queen👑

I once told myself I’m not going to continue knocking that old door that doesn’t open for me. I’m going to create my own door and walk through that.

This was AgeWise a New Vision. It was great for night shift. The staff was amazing and the residents slept through the night 🤍🙏🏾
Is it boring in Alaska
Very, but if you’re someone who likes wild life activities then it’s pretty fun
