I love how the Crown Vics are still putting in the work. To think about it, they went into service before many of the Explorers or Chargers and are still in service long after those Explorers or Chargers retired.

The slicktop as you're referring to are actually referred to as "hybrids" because they have all the markings and as we know the lights are in the cab area. Slicktop still works.
As for this call out, taking fireworks should not have turned into a multi-division code 3 response. I know this agency intimately. 40 years. But that's generally the way it goes. There's likely more to the picture here than I'm on to. Usually it comes out as Code 4 Adam which No Further Assistance Needed at Scene, Suspect Still In Vicinity. The Sergeant or the Watch Commander at the station would normally tell all units not at the scene to disregard and return to their areas. We see how well that works. It's like a pursuit that's only supposed to have three units in it. The primary and secondary and a sergeant. But trailing them a block away is another 27 units. The pursuit would terminate and all those units would suddenly pounce. LOL. We always did overkill. 🤣

That’s some serious response. You can hear gunshots in the end of the vid.

For anyone interested, after 2014 the LAPD hasn't bought Chargers outside of SWAT and other specialized units, meaning that unmarked Charger was likely an individual SWAT officer, which frankly would make sense given the cirucmstances

@TheEpicFuzz, I was thinking the exact same thing. Usually, when the SWAT teams turn up, you're literally fucked, lol.

SOMEBODY really needs to give the lights some attention!
Many of the cars were responding Dark (NO lights), REAR-ONLY turned on, or were poorly equipped for safe and efficient response!
Just because you have a light, doesn't mean it's effective!
And, Just like I said about Steve McGarret back in the original
Hawaii 5-0, you gotta have the visual (lights) to identify where the siren is coming from!!
Cops (AND FF AND EMS) forget that THEY know what they're doing, where they are going, and what their intentions are, the general population just get scared!
