It's always Amazing to see such a skilled and disciplined practitioner of the art of Karate-Do. The implementation of techniques can often be over looked by many modern Karate schools, to the point where the original meaning of a move is all but lost. Traditional karate sensei's are as close to the original source as you can hope to get, with knowledge passed down from instructor to students as far back to the days where these skilled would be used in real life situations and combat. Instructors like Andre are a clear reminder of how rewarding hard training and perseverance in Karate-Do can be, Oss.
Anyone know what clubs in Sweden, Stockholm is connected to Andre Bartel’s karate, and is equally serious and precise!? Please help out if you know any affiliation in Sweden! Thanks
ありがとう!! But next to my mentors here in Japan I’m just a beginner. Through daily training I’m seeking to master my skills, but thank you very much for your kind encouragement.
Kihon, kata and kumite......................... However, this formula changes with age and individual circumstances. It is impossible to specify these online as it depends on each individual. Kindest regards from Japan.
@@gladius2489 Getting used to getting hit is part of the training. On top of that feeling the power certain techniques creates a better appreciation for them. That is part of the methodology of some martial arts including the ones I practice. Of course, you are entitled to your 'opinion' but keep in mind that I don't do 'opinions'!
It does not seem serious to turn your back on an opponent, favor kicks to the head, train without protection or tatamis or move the way it is shown. Shotokan may be recognized as the most organized karate style there is, it does not mean everithing thought is good.
That is light contact, no one is damaged. In training, we must make some contact and recieve contact: otherwise, one can never truly learn a martial art. The concept of control in Karate is one of the most highly misunderstood and most critical errors that leads to ineffective technique. Your hostile comment is one which comes from a lack of understanding of real/martial arts karate. I hope you one day seek authentic karate which, when trained properly, is a highly effective form of self-defense, not only a `dance form of martial arts` that you are implying.
no respect for fools who think they know about martial arts or who think they can judge a Sensei with their limited set of knowledge about martial arts or Karate for that matter..!!...in KARATE, contact is a necessity in training and conditioning...we always train with a buddy...hitting simultaneously each other's forearm, wrist, elbow, shoulder, knee, hip,ankles,etc...that is progressive conditioning which all Karatekas undergo....clearly you dont know this but here you are disrespecting a Sensei with your half cooked brain..cheers..!
I'm curios whether you tried these on a non compliant opponent, in a Grappling/MT/KB gym... While fun to look at, I've never seen a Karate sensei teaching bob and weave, keeping your chin down or hooks. Also, never saw a double leg takedown defense in 10 years of Shotokan. Never have I seen a low kick or a kick with the shin taught properly. This might be good against a poorly prepared street brawler, but it definitely will not help against a boxing guy which trained for more than a year...

This whacking is to show the others how the movement is done and how it affects the opponent. He is respectful to his helper as shown by the bowing.
