Place a trap door directly between 2 skulk sensors. Placing the trap door will set off both sensors, which will then set off the trap door continuously. The warden will be drawn to it and he'll stay still, staring at the trap door. You can even stand in a block right next to him and he won't notice you as long as you don't touch him. So far I've raided 3 ancient cities doing this and it was very easy. Remember, depending on the size of the city, more than 1 warden can spawn, so make sure to do this in every section with a chest in it.

@@dreeph I just take a few trap doors and a silk touch hoe whenever I go into an ancient city/deep dark. If there aren't 2 sensors 1 block away from one another, I'll silk touch a sensor then place it 2 blocks away from another one with the trap door in between them. Or, just take a couple of sensors and trap doors with you. It's quick and easy to do either before or after the warden spawns.

A very quick explanation: take your time, use wool when necessary (especially covering shriekers before you break them) and just crouch when not on wool

i do the first method with elytra, just fly around, find a chest, then break the chest with my axe and pick everything up, fly away, and repeat. Works pretty well, i got a stack of notch apples in 3 hours by doing that
this is the fastest and safest method without blocking off his spawn, or the shriekers. i did this and raided the entire city in less than 10 minutes, even though wardens spawn, you can trick them into following trapdoors set to some redstone clock, or in the dead middle of 2 sensors within distance. very safe in my experience
I have used this same method on bedrock edition and haven’t died yet. If gotten good enough to break the chests grab the loot and fly to a different part of the city. from there I just repeat until I have looted all of the chests. Many wardens end up spawning but I fly away and by the time I return to that area they will despawn.
Instead of putting wool around the shriekers you can put it around the chest and open it because there might be hidden shriekers you can't see

Another pro tip: as the warden is burying himself out of the ground, u can quickly box him with wool and suffocate him.

If you want to kill/escape the warden, just mine a 20 block tunnel and shoot arrows at it, it can't sonic boom you
Also it takes a few seconds for the warden to emerge and takes a few more seconds for it to roar, the first method is pretty safe imo
You can turn on chunk borders if you don't want to fly in the darkness
minihud light overlay for seeing ground without nightvision
Or you could just an enderpearl or fly away

The first time I played on this version with a friend we found a shrieker and accidentally spawned the warden, we knew that it was in the game and that it can hit like a truck, but we thought it can only spawn in ancient cityes and we weren't anywhere near an ancient city... Queue 2 guys in their 20s being scared shitless when the shrieker started doing its thing and when the warden spawned and oneshoted us since we didn't have any armor on... Then queue me bridging above him trying to use my favorite weapon in the game: the lava bucket to cheese him and realizing the warden is immune to lava

I suspect an ancient city of being underneath my base, was strip mining and accidentally triggered a shrieked. Very helpful vid indeed
you can put a trapdoor between two skulk sensors. it will constantly open and close. the warden will get distracted and not bother you.
It doesnt work on bedrock, i tried it 😢

I personally climb on top of the giant portal, place down a couple of shulkers or chests and then, after I locate where the chests are, I jump with an elytra down to the chest, break it with an axe to get the loot, and then fly away to the top of the portal. After that, I wait 1 minute for the warden to despawn and then I fly down again until I gather all chests.

Covering up all the shriekers with wool may not work because u can’t get the bottom so make sure to watch for skulk sensors lower than the shriekers
If you surround a sculk shrieker in wool, the warden wont spawn. You can crouch through the city without wool (place only when jumping, a carpet maybe) and conserve your wool for surrounding the shrieker.

@@Dakshshhpeople in the comments were saying it’s also a good start to set your spawn, put items in a chest and run around the ancient city breaking the shriekers with your hands as quickly as possible so the warden doesn’t spawn, so you can break them easily. i don’t THINK breaking one triggers the warden
@@delena4evertvd267Depends. If there are no detectors nearby, then yeah. If there are, then the best bet is to surround it with wool as mentioned.
I also noticed some said placing a trapdoor in between two detectors will cheese the warden since the warden will be attracted to the noise instead of you.

The loot is insane. I found a enchanted diamond hoe that had unbreaking III, Fortune III, Efficiency IV and mending on it. Upgraded it to netherite immediately after finding it.
I usually completely cover myself with the shrieker in wool, no holes anywhere. It’s slow but it works

You should have put your things inside a shulker and then place the shulker inside the ender chest, and you just keep in the inventory a pickaxe with silk touch, a hoe and wool.
Then when the warden spawns, you just place those things in the ender chest and just lose the ender chest.
P.D: Don't do it while being in Hardcore mode
One time I summoned a raid and had the warden fight all the illagers. Fortunately, I set up an minecart track to save the villagers!

I did the fast method and if you have an elytra you can just open a chest and fly away to another one before the warden does anything as long as you are good at flying its fast and you shouldnt die

Or you can just set your spawn in a bed, place all your items in a chest and run around like crazy breaking shriekers with your hand until the warden kills you, and just keep on going around and breaking shriekers until there are no more

in the survival world i just made last night, it’s the first world that’s actually going good for me. like i haven’t died once to anything small or stupid, i haven’t died at all actually. and i’m having fun with that… but i just found an end city and it’s SOOOOO tempting lmfao. but i’m scared cause i barely understand the warden and i know Mojang made him to be kind of unkillable (but players have found crazy loop hole ways to kill him like in this video lmao)

Whoa. I just found an ancient city and was scared to even pull off the traps since it still meant I had to disable the sencors for further wardens. I didnt realize you could just, turn the warden's spawning off COMPLETELY. This changes everything for me

Speedrunning it is the only way for me because I get suepr bored otherwise, and I personally find it the safest because the warden spawns either way as I am trying to break shriekers. Just make sure to break the shriekers first, runaway sothat wardens despawn and loot the city in piece

want to know how to decrease the darkness effect? on java go to accessibility settings, and there is a thing called darkness pulsing or somethin like that. turn that to 0% and you should be able to see better when you are given the darkness effect. your welcome :)
I'm raiding my first Ancient City on hardcore (I've explored one once or twice in the regular game mode where you can simply switch to "peaceful" and raid it with ease if things get crazy) and I planned to just run and gun my way through it with no preparation as I just happened to stumble across a massive one. I was too impatient to mine a proper entrance since I accidentally mined down into it on an angle and couldn't see far enough to locate any walls, so I had to drop gravel from the ceiling to make a stairway down and the warden showed up like 5 or 6 times just in my efforts to make a safe path into the city lol. I ended up deciding not to risk it and trekking all the way back to my base to sheer sheep and make stair blocks for a quick exit so I don't have to worry about accidentally rocket blasting my elytra into the ceiling due to the darkness status effect. I find Minecraft is way more fun and exciting on hardcore mode where you are forced to plan your every move so you don't lose your world.

just be Careful, Patient and Smart and you should loot the structure without triggering the Warden.

I just snuck around with wool, and killed all of the skulk shriekers and most of the skulk sensors, collecting the ones I wanted with my silk touch pickaxe. takes time, but now my ancient city is spawn proof, literally.

If your playin with friends, you can dedicate one guy to be a “safe” and the rest of you run around the city with absolutely nothing breaking shriekers, as crazy as it sounds it seriously works, set up a little base just outside the city and just get the runners to bring back the loot to the safe
Get an anvil before you go down to a city because swift sneak 3 makes this a lot easier, and usually there is a big mountain to get a ton of iron.
I found a ancient city, and at first I snuck around and assassinated all the screeching skulkers so I could loot freely... then I realized you get xp with the skulk, so I used it to farm levels and leveled up to 50+ 3 times! 1 ancient city I was able to enchant my diamond armor AND tools. Now I just need mending

Sooo me and my friends 3 of us total found a ancient city... this was on a realm... we all died near instantly but then the realms disconnected us and actually rolled it back 30 min so we got to keep our stuff... realms being glitchy actually saved us!
honestly i have looted an ancient city once and it was easier than expected. you basically need to sneak and bring at least 3 stacks of wool

Wardens were probably protectors of redstone builders, and probably the reason why is that they can just get absolutely demolished by redstone.

Tip : Run around the ancient city, collect all loot and quickly place that in an ender chest.
With 80 warden, you can spawn proof pretty much your entire map everywhere. Don't have the farm in mind but it exists. I'd like to see you guys making a tuto

First method works best for me. If I should get overwhelmed by 20 or something wardens, I simply fly up to the center and wait them out
The mob spawning in deep dark in a problem on bedrock edition because the mobs spawn out of nowhere and blow your cover
If you are new or doesnt have any skill, just turn it into peacefull mode

This is an interesting video in my opinion...
my friend opened a smp, and in my single player, i get mending by trading with villager, i used to think mending is easy to get. but my friend's smp have some problem that villager still despawn once u approach them, without villagers, only way to get mending is looting chests and fishing, they both take very long. this make me know how valuable is mending.
It's easy. Make sure to sneak when ur sprinting and press and hold the jump key after that. This glitch is insane while raiding the ancient city. That way u can sneak faster without using Swift sneak. Also if a warden spawns, trap him using 8 trapdoors with 2x2 dimensions

my server with a random seed generates a seed in which there is total amount of 210 240 iron ores on spawn as it is rocky hills biome and right below the block u spawn 0 ~ 0 if u dig down 210 blocks u get in the right middle of city in the centre block available with the centre gold apple chest.
