I have a 2011 Grand Cherokee 2wd and the bolts that mount the upper control arm pivot I guess you would call it, have a different type of head on the end that has a bent tab looking piece that prevents me from being able to torque the bolts the way you did in the video.. What I am saying is I would have to use a socket or box wrench to hold the head of the bolt on the inside and have to torque it from the outside using the nut to tighten it which is much more trouble than I had originally figured especially the one closest to the driver because you can't see it plus it looks like I am going to have to take apart the entire steering column just to be able to get some room to move my torque wrench... Could I grind the tabs off of the bolt that way I can torque the bolts from the inside like you did ? I realize the tabs are there for a reason and from rhe looks of them they are there to prevent the bolt from turning once it spins a certain amount up or down and acts like someone holding a wrench on the bolt head for you allowing you to tighten the connection using the nut so it does have purpose but it doesn't look like the bolt heads they have on the jeep grand cherokee you are working on so again could I just cut that tab off so that I don't have to take all kind of other parts off just to be able to tighten the fastener?? Thanks for your time and sharing your knowledge I really appreciate it
This piece on the bolt You can remove it or take it off ... this lock is placed by the company when manufacturing the car ... You can break it or cut it ... it doesn't affect the suspension system or wheel alignment ... we do that all the time ❤️👍🏼🔧

Why replace the whole control arm and not just the ball joint? Are the ball joints not removalable?
you can replace only ball joit ... or all control arm 👍🏼
The bushing on the mounts goes bad. So dont just replace ball joint.
