Perfect description. My husband Kurt idolizes him. I watched my husband break and run 17 consecutive games of 9 ball... I told him if he wanted to go pro... do it.
He said "I love the game because it is fun, once it is my job, I lose the fun and become a tyrant." I shook my head but understood. He only played 6 hours a week... but never lost. Imagine if he played every day.
He is content with going to pool halls in the area once a week and making all the sharks look bad. Lol
They refuse to gamble with him.🤣
@@ruthiematteson6827 I feel exactly the same way. I used to be pretty good, and have had wins over better shooters than me. Sometimes they'd say, "want to make it interesting?" (meaning playing for money). I always said, it is already interesting. I play pool, I don't work pool.
The bet changes the whole sport.
Your husband is an amazing shooter, Several close calls, but I have never broken and ran a 9 ball game once!
@@mayorb3366 my husband says thank you very much... and his advice for you to start making break and runs on a regular basis: worry less about the ball going in. Concentrate on mastering your position. The rest takes care of itself. If you can put whitey within a few inches of your intended spot, you will start marking runouts faster than you ever imagined. Mostly because you will be leaving easier shots... but you will also get a smoother stroke from that practice. My husband talks too fast 🤣 I hope I got it all. Lol
I’m not that into pool or snooker but have been watching every video of Efren Reyes I can. I’m just *fascinated* watching Efren! He is just mind blowingly amazing. Oh and I just love that he came from humble beginnings and his God given talent has provided for him and his family. This is what makes it amazing. He deserves every cent he has earned. The best job in the world is one where you can make a living doing something you love. How good is that?! 💕👍

I love the channel. Great videos and commentary, but I have to say the weird clips and audio effects can be pretty obnoxious. I’m sure I’m not the only one who would say to try one with just pool, your great commentary, and subtle background music.

Wow that 6 ball slam in the corner pocket with back draw on the rail is really impressive. That was the only way to get the cue ball back to set up for the 7.
Actually a few other ways to get it down haha but not many can execute
@@dawidrichardson8103 at 3:56? You better put nothing but right English on the ball from a long distance shot. Chances are better with a draw. There’s only about 3 ways to get the ball back with ball control without pure luck. It’s either with a draw , bottom left ,or just straight up right English and bring the ball back 3 rails. Top spin will not be enough to bring the ball back at that angle. From that distance draw with force is your best and easiest way to bring that ball back. If you use bottom left you don’t have to hit the ball as hard but it will effect the direction of the cue ball going towards the 6 ball.

The #5 Ball going from one corner to the other may not have been intentional but it isn’t pure luck. I’ve practiced shots like that and used the hole intentionally that way in games.
