He is the GOAT In pool! Watched him growing up it was hella fun watching him making trick shots on live tournament games. What a great human being as well. Very down to earth. Everybody in my country (Philippines) respects him. He is half GOD half human for sure! Very humble person. He don’t even have fancy stuff he just living the normal life and enjoying life to the fullest. Watch his documentary and you will be amazed of how great of a person Efren is.

What gets me as a non-player is the slow tempo of so many shots. The target ball gets to the pocket as it's just about to lose all it's momentum. Like pausing before dipping your toe in water. Plop. The cue ball then glides up to the next spot politely. It's like a lovely slow song that ends with a gentle bang.

The crazy part is how little error you have there on that shot, young.. or not so young. When you're older, you still have pride, but little time.. so what is a life sentence then? You can almost get away with anything, especially with skill over time.. but I wonder.. Mr EF.. Would you have played that shot differently 🤔... If you had more time or a time traveling machine? Maybe that was just an exhibition match. One of the greats. I'm glad I had a chance to watch him play CJ Wiley. Dennis O was there too. It was kinda rough 😕 getting those pictures seeing afterwards how tired ER obviously was. I'm just grateful he might have went out of his way to come play with us and CJ.
He played almost all types of billiards. He won gold medal in SEA games in snooker and English billiard (same table as snooker). He won't attempt those shots if he doesn't know the pockets are not big, do you think otherwise? He even played 3-cushion carom, it uses a table without pocket. Big pocket, small pocket, no pocket, he played them all. It's just that he specialized in bug pockets because it gives him more opportunity to exercise his creativity.
