I like the way you are showing, how you do things. I have had eccactly the problem with the connection of the flexitracks in curvers. To solder them, when they are strait is the solution. Thanks.
Thank you! I've been wondering how to use the flex tracks I was given to make a small N scale Christmas theme layout. Solder the joints before laying the track!
So many expensive hassles until I gave up traack power and went RC cab control Now making my own track. Trying DIY electrical trunking Comes standard 32mm for O gauge What is the point now of track electrics at all ?
never saw the need for soldering rail joints- even on N-scale lines several miles long. as long as the track is properly stabilized on the benchwork- its just not necessary.
Very good advice, spiced up with humour.👍

What is the radius of the curves on your layout? Thanks
The radius of my curves is 52.
I also like 27.
So now you know.
I have to ask, what kind of solder are you using? Yours flows much better than mine.
Where did you buy the sodder with flux?
I can't remember where I bought it. But these days most solder wire has Flux in it...
Thanks. I appreciate it.

Plus if the layout is anywhere where the temperature changes are extreme like in a loft or garage it's not a good idea
Doesn’t look good with missing sleepers after cutting it
