Hats off to the unsung folks of costume and set design. You did a great job!

I was just thinking that! Whoever did the costumes and set were exceptional, especially for back then.

Dave Thomas was a comedic genius. Highly underrated.

That ET commercial actually seemed like a part of the show.😅

Glad to see you uploaded the version with Dr. Braino, most of the syndicated edits replaced it with Dr. Tongue's 3d house of stewardesses.

I'm sitting in a far-infrared electric half-Sauna as I watch this, before I have to sell off it and everything else here.
I watched this episode once before on this very YT channel, but now I'm watching it again on 30 September 2023 after having come from seeing a bit of Lee and Little Richard on the Mike Douglas show, where Lee was showing off his chinchilla wrap, which is nothing like a Crunchwrap Supreme.

I’m an old SCTV fan, but it’s very unfortunate that the producers thought it necessary to insert obnoxious, obtrusive canned laughter.
Sometimes it’s hard to hear everything the cast members are saying.
    But Dr. Braino was great.
“I hope you had some good stuff, man.”

Supposedly they farmed out the laugh track editing to an actual farmer, who didn't actually get the humor, so it's kind of spliced in all over the place.

I wish they could go back and erase the laugh track and clear all the music rights.

Did Dr. Braino come before Dr. Tongue? I see some influences there, like the weird closeups. Great video, thanks for posting!

When dismissing Mayor Shanks' speech, didn't anyone detect a bit of Pittsburgh anchor Bill Burns in Floyd? (Burns tended to be blunt on occasion when reporting on the news of the day, and on a radio public affairs show he frequently participated in which aired both in that city and in Philadelphia, he often let Senators and Congressmen have it during the Vietnam War which - being a disabled WWII vet who wore a steel leg brace and walked with a limp - he bitterly opposed.)
