It flies just like the Me109 ! Not a coincidence, it was the aircraft Willi M. Stuffed a big engine in and made it into a single seat fighter it flew so well.
That Argus is so slow and "lazy" sounding that if I listened with my eyes closed I'd think it was a small radial of some sorts. (turns only 2000 rpm!). Thanks for sharing, very unique sound.
This aircraft should be reinterpreted with a modern engine and manufacturing. I think it should still be all-metal, but it could be cleaned up aerodynamically and be given an engine suitable for unleaded avgas.
@@mothmagic1 not necessarily. The proportions can still be the same, the aero-optimisation can remain at the barely visible level and still have a huge effect. For instance a choice of a similar, yet more advanced airfoil, which depends on higher manufacturing precision, newer, more efficient liquid cooled engine with CFD analysis of internal cooling drag, better, more precise fairing of retractable undercarriage etc... The list of these things is long. And we're not even touching the basic shape of the canopy.
My father had one here in Denmark OY-AIH. We had a lot of great times in it. He allowed me to take take the controls and fly it. I was 13-14 years old. Great experience for a kid :)

Yes with 109 features clearly visible, it was also used as a trainer to prepare 109 student pilots. Thanks for watching and have a Good Day !

Hello, yes well observed, I like that rumble too, thanks for nice comment and have a Good Day !
👍👍👍

Hello, yes that would be great, it is aerodynamically very clean already ! Thanks and have a Good Day !
and lose all its character.

All you need is James Garner and Donald Pleasence!
Well sir, that will be lost on most of today’s puppy mill pilots. What an effortless aircraft. Tupperware aircraft lose something in the translation.
You’re showing your age 😊
But they were in a Bücker Bü 181 Bestmann - but pretty close!
Still a beautiful aircraft. Loved seeing the French built versions carrying rockets in Von Ryan's Express.
Oh, yes, its very nice ! Have a Good Day !
☠BLACK BARON☠ 0:45 Wenn Scale Modelle nur so schön, ruhig, langsam abheben würden wie dieser Vogel "Flyfun". Elegant. 👍
How many fly guns are still flying? Good sounding and looking birdy..danke.
Hello, just a few original airworthy Taifuns exist. Happy you like the videos and have a Good Day !

Great airplane, do you have a performance figures for it
Hello, the 240 HP Argus V-8 powered Bf-108 cruises at 140 kts, has around 600 miles range and is very comfortable. Have a Good Day !
