    This size of battery is awesome for range. I have a 72v 40Ah battery in my Nami and do 40 miles trips with battery to spare. It is cool that the speed in that mode doesn't drop (on your scooter) as the voltage drops, and 20 mph is about perfect for sidewalks and bike trails.

      I made a muscle footscooter . It rides like a muscle motorcycle. 24s 8p x2 . For 16p total .. one pack did 72.5 miles with 5 bursts over 65mph for good measure. The total is 6950wh. For both. It's seriously going to be all day to find out @ 20 mph ? 18- 24 it seems is the magic/ blessed numbers?

      @@matthewm7666 the faster you go. The more exponentially the battery drains . The rs is only 50amp ×2 . They tell you the top charge to get the number 8000watt. The motors are only 2kw. If pushing past 3x too much it can burn easy. It's impressive, but maybe not too reliable? Like I burned the rear motor a few times ,mostly in the phase wires. Anyhow It seems they are using the new samsung 50s batteries. It's bad to drain them a lot . 😕 they put out insane 45 amps ,but have a shorter life when pushing the limits . I have a LG m50lt, and a samsung 50s packs . The LG puts out only 12kw to the front motor. But will have over 1000 cycles life , vs only maybe 300 for the Samsung when pushing limits. I wished the content makers would specify the specific battery cells used ,and pack make up. Some scooter are huge 🔥 fires waiting to happen!

      @@matthewm7666 It's made in such a way to future proof. Most Parts are found at hardware / metal shops . It is weldable. It is any dimentions wanted . You can use any size tire ,or size of motors . 10in to 14in tires with shims. It's a crazy concept, but it can grow with needs. There are 9kw footscooter motors out there for $700 bucks . My scooter is a snap to install for that too! Just shim it in. It's is truly future proof

      I want to love it...but awful cable management at the handlebar, sub par brakes considering the speed, the twist throttle, meh lighting, and now the steering damper and the glitchey app. C'mon Inmotion get the stuff sorted, we have a lot of choice in this price range.

    • @THEAVERAGEGUY1983
      @THEAVERAGEGUY1983  4 หลายเดือนก่อน

      @hoplite1766 very true. They need to improve it big time. I do hope the video i made on the steering damper mod helps Inmotion redesign it to make it better.
      I feel like most sponsored reviewers just talk about how fast it can go, etc, but never mention any issues except consumers like me that actually use it, i do understand that This is their first shot at a High Performance Scooter. The creator of the RS is a Unicycle maker. Hopefully, the feedback they get from everyone will help them improve the design, reliability and functionality. Like for me, when it comes to cable management, i feel Segway and Apollo win there. Unfortunately, no scooter is perfect, but there could be one if manufacturers would listen to consumer feedback. I appreciate you commenting and hopefully Inmotion sees what you wrote here and accept the feedback.

    Great video man. Thanks for posting the only eco range test of the RS currently on YT. I know you are probably sick of doing range tests, but I wonder if you put it into single motor mode as well as ride in eco if that would give more range out of the scooter. Tire psi should be at 40psi.
    For a guy your size, 45psi would be best for you.
    Would also help with getting a few more miles.
    Ideal psi range for the rs is 40 to 45psi.
    Personally, i keep it at 42psi. Feels great on the road. (I way 180lbs with all my gear on)

      Thank you for your honest review. I agree on the price issue. I'm on the fence and going over how practical the Segway GT2 would be for me. I love everything about the scooter, but its portability is something to really consider. Furthermore, the huge investment is the other matter. I do live the duo motors and reported smoothness.

    35psi with those with stock nylon CSTs will lower your range. I suggest 50psi, will in incur less contact patch and less resistance, you should easily get more miles in. Swapping out to PMTs, depending on the Shore A soft meter, softer rubber compounds will get you less range at about 20-25psi max but give you twice the grip especially for hard cornering and acceleration. Good job!

    • @THEAVERAGEGUY1983
      @THEAVERAGEGUY1983  5 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Thank you for the extra info on the PMT tires. I greatly appreciate it. As for the 50 psi that is where i originally had them at but the scooter was Dhaking/Vibrating way too much as if i had off road tires so i dropped it down to 35PSI and have been pretty happy with this number for comfort riding but i agree 100% about getting way more range with 50PSI. Depending on where im going, i will definitely be inflating them to 50 PSI for sure while riding on speed 2.

  • @trini_boi2414
    @trini_boi2414 3 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

    HEY I WAS WONDERING I HAVE THE GX3 GOTRAX BUT I DONT FEEL COMFORTABLE OVER 20MPH STABLE IS MY NUMBER 1 CONCERN I have been 27.5 mph but only on straight road I have practice ran before. I WOULD OF NEVER went over 20mph on new roads the stability is scary. BUT ON inmotion RS I seen every rider go over 40mph comfortablely

    • @THEAVERAGEGUY1983
      @THEAVERAGEGUY1983  4 หลายเดือนก่อน

      It could just be an issue with stability on the scooter. Since i never got to take the GX3 past 20Mph onnthe test ride i wasnt even to feel any instability. But it is possible that something around the steering pole may need to be tighten.

    Great ride and awesome mileage 😊. Super impressive range. You went through a lot of camera batteries haha. I use my GoPro Hero 10 on range tests and it’s got hot garbage battery life. Not sure if you can do it with your camera or not, but I just plug a power bank into it with a long USB-C cord. Works wonders and I never have to swap batteries.
    Hopefully you figure out that vibration. Does it come from the front or rear?

    • @THEAVERAGEGUY1983
      @THEAVERAGEGUY1983  5 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Hi Tom, yeah i went through three of them lol! I only have a total of 4 which is 2 for each camera lol. Only good thing vs my hero 10 is that i got zero overheating in 4K 60fps what a great camera other than the 55 minutes i get per battery lol. I havent tried plugging in a external battery to it but i should give it a try and let the camer run indoors and check it to see if it works. That would be great!
      About the Vibration i think its the front wheel. I dont really feel it in the back wheel. Weird huh? Maybe a balancing issue 🤔 but yeah i cant believe i got 60 miles of range and it was still doing the 19Mph speeds so it didnt even slow down. MY SEGWAY GT1 only gave me 22 miles of range in ECO Mode and i was really bummed out but the speed on that one was 22 to 23 Mph in eco mode out of the claimed 22. Just a bit more range than the MAX G2 for me.

Been looking at that inmotion rs but all these youtubers are straight up advertising when this guy is actually straight up. Makes me wonder if I should be looking at a Kaabo GTR instead. Either way, good videos bro.
    So I gotta ask, how you like the twist throttle on the RS? Thought I saw the thumb throttle on it, so maybe no?

    • @THEAVERAGEGUY1983
      @THEAVERAGEGUY1983  5 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Hey Ammothief41, thanks for the feedbqck man its always appreciated, and i always stay true to myself when it comes to these products, man.
      The Kaabo WolfKing GTR is an awesome scooter and does here that it's way more stable at high speeds, but it apparently does poorly with range.
      As for the Twist throttle, i took it off and replaced it with the official thumb throttle for 2 reasons, 1. There was a very noticeable dead zone on the twist throttle, which i didn't like, it felt like there was a delay in acceleration and
      2. I didn't feel too safe, only having 3 fingers on the handlebar grip at such high speeds.
      When it comes to stability, i had to get a new steering damper and figured out how to mod it so it feels way more stable than what it currently feels like.
      However, before you buy the GTR, take a look at a few more videos on it before you make your purchase. The same goes with this RS, i overall love it and dont regret my purchase, but there are some little issues with it that i mentioned in the video. Also, some have reported the front motor overheating and causing the front controller to burn out. Thankfully, the RS has 2 of them, one for the front motor and one for the rear, and if the front or rear controller burns out you can switch the rear motor or front motor with a press of the cruise control button and keep riding. On the GTR, it has a single controller, so if it goes bad, it will leave you straned.

      The scooter Odometer is more nore accurate than the information on the App when it comes to the speed. Ive ran it by a couple of Radar Speed checkers that you see on the street showing your speed limit and sure enough its 100% accurate with the Scooters display but a couple miles off in speed via the app.
      So i would trust the display better. I just wish it had a better battery gauge where it would tell you the percentage of the battery instead of the little block indicators it has for battery life.

    • @THEAVERAGEGUY1983
      @THEAVERAGEGUY1983  3 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      Thats an over estimate. All scooter companies do that. The realistic range is 75 Miles but its in Eco mode going about 15 miles an hour with a 150Lbs rider in a flat surface road with no wind blowing towards you. Now if this scooter had a 60 Amp hour battery then you can definitely reach 90 to 100 miles of range but again, in a lower speed. 😅 this is why i did a range test to see what the scooter can realistically for me. In gear 2 going from 25MPH to 40MPH with traffic speed. I was able to get 36 Miles of range which is the speed i usually have my RS in when i ride it to run errands or go to work. 😁👍

      Hi chris, this should help. Under the Inmotion App, click on the settings icon and then click on (Acc. Force) there you can slide the acceleration/ Torque of the front and rear motors to make it smoother. I have mine set at 25% for the front and rear motor, but you can lower it down to 20% so it feels even less agreesive from the acceleration. Once tou adjust it the app and scooter will react and say the changes have been done and you'll be good to go. 😎👊

    im pretty sure your scooter slid out from under you because youre in dual motor. when you lean the front motor will easily slide out on you. plus rear motor is more efficient as well so if you wanted to do a video to showcase the maximum range you shouldve done it in single motor. moreover i dont know why you didnt adjust the suspension once to see if that effected your shaking youre experiencing

    • @THEAVERAGEGUY1983

      Hi jason, you do have a point there on switching from dual motor mode to single motor mode but in single motor mode i would definitely burn it out as i would be making it work twice as hard moving me and the scooter body around inclines. It's also way slower at take off and takes a bit to get up to speed. Though definitely way more comfortable to ride in single motor mode. As for the suspension adjustment, i did try that, but unfortunately, it didn't make a difference on the shaking of the front motor. I did do a Off Load speed test with it lifted on my floor jack and turns out it is a balancing issue with my tires but they have really good tread so i wouldn't want to swap them till i waste them it would be waste of cash to swap them now for the other tires i have and i hope those dont have a balancing issue one those are installed. 😅
      Edit: about slipping on the scooter. It was part my fault there, i leaned the scooter body too much to the right and didnt lean my body to the left as i made my sharp turn so i slipped off of it, the other part about the tires not being grippy enough for sharp turns still stand. PMT tires would definitely be beneficial for this scooter but i dont race this thing so at the moment they arent needed.
      anyways thanks so much for commenting. i appreciate you watching the video. 🙏🙇‍♂️

      @@THEAVERAGEGUY1983 if that caused your motor problems than that is a faulty motor. i extensively modify scooters and i cant tell you my 650w rated motor at 48v has been taking 7500 at 72v with added ferrofluid and no problems. they wouldnt have the option if it was known to cause problems. a high quality motor like that produced by inmotion will not have issues running at factory specs, especially in eco mode. i could almost guarantee you wouldnt have issues at max settings running in single motor, its a 4000w rated motor

      @@THEAVERAGEGUY1983 i did watch your whole video and enjoyed it, but if you really think that overheating on the rear motor would be an issue i would challenge you to get a heat gun and make a video showcasing the temp during a ride

      @jasonnelson1585 sorry man but i won't be doing that to mine. These dudes didn't sponsor me, and i paid for this RS and getting warranty parts is somewhat of a long waiting period. as it is my wife was pissed when i bought it as i already had a Segway Ninebot Max G2 and a Segway GT1 The only reason i feel it would overheat is because of how heavy the scooter is and my own weight as well. I did get overheating a while back on my MAX G2 but that has a 450 watt Nominal motor, havent had that happen to my GT1 but that scooter has a 1500 watt nominal motor and only gives me 22 miles of range at 23Mph on a single charge. If you like, though, you are welcome to get one and do that testing your challenging me to do. 😅

    Don't know how anyone would buy a super long-range scooter that doesn't offer a seat option. Nice scooter but that sucks. Thats why I went with the OutStorm Maxx pro 3. Rated 62mph 60 mile range with seat option

    On the other hand limited the battery charge to 12 Ampere and totally stupid on a 40ah battery. When I ride with my friends I'm always the one we're waiting for because everyone who is in 40ah charge At 15 or 17 Ampere... I ride 250km days and the charging power limitation is really a huge problem. This problem does not arise with Nami or teverun or dualtron.

      I also regret that we cannot adjust the speed in cruise mode with the + and - button like on the nami

      Well to be fair charging at anything higher than 10 amps which is the limit on the RS battery is asking for a fire at any moment, if it hasn't happened to your friends yet that's awesome and i hope it never does. I cant speak for the other scooter brands you mentioned because ive never owned one of them, ive been enjoying mine and for my use it meets pretty much everything. I would have liked to get the Teverun Fighter 7260R but im not a fan of speed wobbles even with 2 steering dampers on it. That's a design flaw and an accident waiting to happen.

      @toutoune06450 i agree with you there. Segway has adjustable speed settings that you can setup with each gear and you cant do that yet with the RS. I also think its a good idea to be able to have rhe cruise control on and press the Plus or Minus button to be able to increase the speed or decrease it depending what gear you are in like i can do with my cars. Im not sure if that's a limitation of the scooters firmware but it would be a nice add on.

      They have two models the RS Midnight Lite is a 30 Amp hour version with Dual 1500 watt motors and goes up to 55Mph for $3,000 USD and then there is the Regular RS Midnight which has 40 Amp hours, Dual 2000 watt motors ans goes up to 63Mph and is the one that gave me the 60 Miles of range in Eco mode but this one is $4,000.00 you can use my code TAG1983MIDNIGHT on eirher model and save $200.00.

      The rs is way too big to be on sidewalks with ppl walking. You should always be on the road.

      @THEAVERAGEGUY1983  3 หลายเดือนก่อน

      @CartoonWeasel i agree 100%. I use mine in traffic and in gear 2 which the RS does excellent on the road. I wouldn't have it on the sidewalk unless something is either wrong with it and i need to inspect it. In gear 1 is best to use it on a bike lane or as far to the right side of the right lane as possible, you just gotta watch out for drivers opening their car doors when a designated bike lane is not available.
