The timing of astrology will never not amaze me. As an homage to Capricorn season, I told my kids we’re gonna take a field trip to the tallest building in our city. This morning, my husband, Cap rising, goes to that building on the day of the solstice. Way too cool!
I loved the intro and that nervous laugh about not wanting to make the Saturn/Pluto conjunction some kind of "devil"; when in fact, the devil would come.
This is perfect timing for this specific episode. The other day I just wanted to listen to people talk and I chose to listen to the commentary between Kurt Russell and John Carpenter on The Thing where they said their version was coincidentally about the aids epidemic since it broke while they were making the movie. Looking at the timeline it’s fascinating as patient zero was discovered in October of 1980 which is when the saturn ingress into libra co-present with Pluto happened and the paper published of the discovery of the virus was on June 5th 1981, when Jupiter the Jupiter ingress into libra happened. This set up the great conjunctions in libra and then the Saturn pluto conjunction. So the timeline of starting the movie in the late summer of 1981 and the explosion of the aids epidemic lines up. That started with a cluster of Jupiter, Saturn, Venus, and Pluto in libra. Very similar transits in different signs in 2020. These transits are actually related to the courses I had taken being available to the public for the first time and it’s easy (and relevant) to this discussion. Since I already mentioned it before, the Hegelian dialectic. On a larger scale you have situations like how national identity was solely focused on the opposition of the Soviet Union which were two global world powers, but due to the view of these tensions being necessary it’s also necessary to financially support the opposition which is usually through investing money and making profits off the conflict. But what do you do when the opposition falls? That became a problem. So it moves from the Cold War to culture wars. Globally, an ideal oppositional culture in contrast to the west is Islam so you need a radicalization in the post 1990’s world. So, you’d note, the Hegelian dialect is not a dialogue; there are long term impacts with this. Like, I can say I’ve never voted for a republican but stating this causes an automatic favorable or unfavorable opinion not just in my voting decisions but the content of my character be it favorable or unfavorable and there will not be a dialogue. Yet, many of us would agree the two party system actually supports each other in consequential policy only separated by small cultural issues where the larger has more impact individually and globally; dissent immediately puts an individual into an out-group with an extreme label as an enemy which many have experienced since this conjunction in some way: Hegelian dialectic in action. So, I’m gathering listening to the commentary of The Thing has a much bigger general theme. The humorous parts were (paraphrasing) “if it exactly duplicates you, you probably wouldn’t even know you’re the thing” and “it probably would have just left if humans weren’t trying to kill it; it’s just defending itself from you guys”. 😂 Good topic, I’ll just leave it there.
Wow, when i was pregnant in 2009 i found out that the guy was a serious gambling addict. And i was having dreams about a flood, and having to get the baby and the Chihuahuas to safety. And having to fight with her dad about not having wants and needs separate and him being unprepared but endangering us because he was wanting to ego dominate the situation. She wasn't even born yet and i knew i was going to have to leave him before he sinks my ship. And i got rid of most things and bought and renovated 3 campers since then. And been trying to figure out how to be self sufficient and not dependant on the supply chain or anything really and instill that into my daughter so that i won't have to eat her as an act of mercy.
I have the 1948 Saturn/Pluto conjunct in Leo, my son and granddaughter each have wide, out of sign conjunctions in early 1983 and early 2021. My son and I believe our struggles and blessings are gifts from God, the universe and karma. (BTW - my granddaughter's Saturn is part of a third house, five planet Aquarius stellium. At almost 4, she is already blowing our minds.) I have to say, it's a little intimidating to have a large panel of people needed to this discuss this aspect, hahaha:) Nonetheless, I'm 76 and have never been more content, despite the inevitable struggles of daily life in this strange collective era on this challenging plane of existence. Thank God for astrology and wise others to help make sense of it all.
Yes, struggles and strife are part of human life. I was born in 1982 with a Saturn Pluto conjunction in Libra. It's still a challenge, but Hellenistic astrology has made me more humble and helped me accept suffering as part of life on earth. Wishing you all the best and Merry Christmas. 🎄💝
@@Applepie910 Thank you for your response. I have learned that all suffering occurs in the present moment, and is mostly self- and belief- generated. I still struggle with a tendency to project imaginary suffering about the future into the present.
lol I guess I didn’t listen to your astrological interpretations back then but holy crap you were a totally different person- higher pitch voice, different name, etc. Crazy!! I had a glow up too, but not quite this extra
It was interesting that Sam said dropping the facade, when masks were mandatory in that period, lol! Steely tenacity from Lisa, absolutely and under pressure from Becca. Also what Sam said the darkness that i know....eek! All this was in my 8th hse ! Thank you Adam, this was a great opportunity to reflect on the past. ❤
My adult daughter’s Saturn opposes my Pluto. My adult son’s Pluto opposes my Saturn. Both of these children absolutely despise me for reasons that seem imaginary. Everyone else thinks I’m a kind and generous person. I’m utterly bewildered and I guess I have no choice left but to stop caring about this. Does anyone have any insight?
Omg Saturn swallowing children and vomitting them up wtf 😂 Jason went deep into the mythology. I can definitely see how you guys predicted the pandemic without predicting the pandemic

How fantastic and so relevant still. Ty
It’s crazy how much you looked like Richard Tarnas in 2020.
This was my Saturn Return year & a tower year. Lost my job & lost my Mom😮😢
😔🤗❤️

Love this. Pluto Saturn square in my birth chart. I feel this ..
Lost my mom during this conjunction...Pluto was in my 3rd house
Becca talking about the descent to regain parts of self- so true. That’s what lockdown did.
