- Los Angeles. Otherwise known as Tinseltown! And a prime spot for glamour, extravagance, and of course old mansions!
Today, we’re spending time in Los Angeles and it’s surrounding neighborhoods. A place that’s not only blessed with gorgeous weather, but one that’s steeped in beautiful landscapes, and elaborate estates in some of the most expensive of neighborhoods.
But when it comes to LA, it’s not all about mega mansions and insane price tags. Here you’ll find some of the most historic and most well-preserved of estates. Many of which are valued at “priceless”.
These are the ones not just intended to admire from outside, but those whose gates are open for anyone to drop by and catch a glimpse of old Hollywood glamour, or the decadence of LA’s Gilded Age.
So if you’ve got a few minutes to spare, you’re welcome to join us on our tour of the most celebrated estates in this most glitziest part of California they call LaLaLand.
Without further ado, here are 13 Must See Mansions in Los Angeles.

13 Must-See MANSIONS in LOS ANGELES
• 13 Must-See MANSIONS i... - บันเทิง
I remembetr, as a child (being 80 now) the fabulous villa of Maj. Gen. Walter P. Story, scion of the famous Story and Perry military and cattle baron families. My great-aunt and great-uncle were domestic servants on his estate in Laurel Canyon. THe grounds were magnificent, as was the mansion itself. I have no idea of the structure still exists, but it truly was memorable. I have indelible memories of its splendour and of the grand and generous spirit of the General, one of the leading society figures of Greater L.A. of his times.
2 things I wanted to comment on, Neutra is pronounced Noy-trah. Second is the Katy Perry/Dana Hollister house mixup. There were TWO houses that Dana owned (she also owns a few restaurants and bars in the area) the Paramour (located on Micheltorena Street) the house you featured in your video and you got the original owners correct and the photos were of the Paramour BUT the house/ convent that Katy Perry wanted to buy from the archdiocese was located at 3431 Waverly place. The Paramour was never a convent. It has been used for video and magazine shoots and was opened as a private hotel after she remodeled and you can stay there and book it for parties. But yeah, 2 totally different houses (I lived next door for 2 years, the walk up the hill to the house from Sunset is a killer!!)
Love the Stahl House
Paramour Mansion is a location destination for tv movies videos commercial photo shots etc. I shot a show there called “Another Period” that was set in about 1902
Views are amazing and there are renters in the small adjacent guest houses on the property So beautiful !!!
Thank you for this beautiful gift into the past
Glad you enjoyed it. Thank you for watching!
I Loved This Presentation❤
Thank you!
The Neutra name is usually pronounced Noy-tra. My favorite on your tour is the Stahl house. Thank you.
Don’t forget Gamble House was used in those Back To The Future movies as Doc Brown’s house
These beautiful mansions and the amazing landscape definitely all compliment each other perfectly .Definitely will be visiting these places once i get there .Number 2 mansion i definitely be careful of just in case lol
True. Your never know what you might encounter! Thanks for watching.
The Stahl House is my favorite one!
Fenyes is the only mansion I was unfamiliar with. Have been on the grounds of many of them, however the only one I've been inside of is The Huntington. Wonderful place with beautiful gardens. Would love to tour any of them. The only other mansion I can think of is the one Marion Davies lived in with William Randolph Heart, the Beverly? I wonder if he died there. Probably privately owned.
What about Jed Clampets mansion and cement pond?
Yes, it is gorgeous! Though one cannot visit, we’ll consider it for later.
@@schmancy2978 haha I was just kidding - thanks - love your videos!
The Chartwell Mansion
I’ve been to the Huntington it’s beautiful
Without a doubt the Eames. Kind of sad that, only one mansion remain privetly owners.
The Arts & Crafts home was magnificent along with the amazing views from the Stahl house.
