Last year I was at CER and had the chance to be exactly next to the cars (no more than 5m) at the start line. I can tell you that the launching sound is SPOT ON now. It was not comparable beforehand.
The sound itself is a buy for me. They sound sooooooo muchhh better, the chase cam doesn't sound like a rc car anymore, althought the spectator fly by does sound slightly better, it could use a bit more changing, still sounds a bit too high pitched, but everything else sounds 10x better
Ok, the way I see it, or rather hear it, the Yaris and Puma are significantly improved, Yaris especially, while Hyundai remained more or less the same. Fiesta is also improved, but IMO, not as much as the two Rally1s. And I think the Yaris Rally2 really sounds great!
Take the Toyota GR Yaris rally 1 for instance in the drive by bystander example at 9:58 there 23 have this nice high end sparkle in the sound and in 24 they have EQ'd out all top end and it make it not sound so realistic in my opinion with only rumble and bass with no sizzle and trumpet sound.
Navigate to Settings then Assists. In there make sure you are either on Manual or Manual-Sequential and that Clutch Override is OFF. After this you can slow down until you stall the engine in the first gear, and to start it up, just hold the clutch or shift to neutral and press the accelerator. That's it!👌
Ok listened on computer now with good headphones, definitely feel that they should have kept the whistling sound from 23 on the first Ford Puma example, I just feel that turbo whine is not loud enough. In real life that can be very loud and here you barely hear it anymore.
@@noxnovaYT I just mean in the first car example I think the 2023 sound better, they cleaned up the audio so much there and you can barely hear the whistling sound anymore. I hate when sounddesigners these days seem to fatigue their ears and just go on this clean up audio spree. I see it in so many games and then games sound more generic and boring than they can do. I need to hear it live later when I buy the game I just want more of all these little sounds not less.
@@DamarFadlan25 Not sure, maybe felt that it was too much or that it was not appreciated. Who knows what devs think these days, they seem so disconnected in general from their players and what makes their game good.
I am new to all of this, but I very much enjoy rally games and rally cars now, and I am probably way in the minority here, and it is most likely because I don't have much experience with cars, but in all honesty they all sound the same as their counterparts.
On a TV, phone, or speakers they all seem to sound the same. Try again with headphones, and I'm sure you'll notice some differences, especially for the Ford Puma and Toyota GR Yaris.
I just can't like the new rev limiter sound on the Puma, 2023's was so much better and accurate. Spectator camera POV sounds feel like a downgrade, makes you wonder if anyone there heard the actual cars race by.
For me the 2023 sounds so similar to the dirt rally 2.0 especially for the ford puma, that's sound similar to the ford focus wrc or maybe similar to ford fiesta rs wrc in the old dirt rally but with higher pitch sound
The new 2024 are better but still not as good as the original dirt rally and 2.0 ! Atlast though a wrc game that doesn't have cars that sound like hair dryers !
I think overall they sound even better than last year, so codemaster did a good job with that
Yup, the new sounds are way more detailed than the old ones.
EA SPORTS WRC now is 9.1/10 after initially only 5.6/10.
The Puma was already one of the best sounding cars in game before, and now they've somehow made it even better. Incredible!

I totally agree with you!
After EA SPORTS WRC SEASON 2024 Update, now it has 66 cars.
I actually listened Toyota GR Yaris Rally 1starting sound and this new game is very similiar with that sounds!!
That's very true!
I saw the cars at the September rally in Bio Bio, Chile, and the truth is that it sounds identical to real life on 2024
On some cars, it even exceeded sounds from real life.
EA Sports WRC is 10/10 now.
we love her. the yaris rally 2 is the best😎
Yaris WRC GR also sounds amazing.
Great video, I was looking for this
I'm happy that you found it!😁
The Ford Rally1 WRC Car also is much more gorgeous than ever before.

Yup, Hyundai not much of a change.
thank you for the video mate!
My pleasure!
The sound of WRC3 cars on EA SPORTS WRC sounds perfect.
True!
The Ford Fiesta Rally3 EVO on EA SPORTS WRC 24 Expansion sounded so much better.

How do you do the engine start one? Engine never stops in-game, or at least, I haven't seen it.

Who knows, maybe that's just how the new cars sound now. They did recordings they said, why would they alter the real sound then...
I don't like that they nerfed the turbo whine so much like it's a bad thing. It's the coolest aspect of shifting up and down.
Why they nerfed the turbo whine sounds?
From the inside camera the whine you hear is from the gearbox mostly.

Have you change some colour settings? Looks better than mine :(
TBH in this video I did zero color grading. All you see it's raw obs recording.
What's up with this hugh antenna on the top of the Hyundai?
Maybe for a better signal for the camera feed
2023 - Decent. Not too great but not terrible. Just meh.
2024 - The car is a monster being unleashed and it's screaming, "RELEASE ME!!"
Indeed😂

Maybe they didn't record the sounds of the 2023 cars in such detail, so they used the old dirt games sounds as well.
@@noxnovaYT No, all 23 cars were recorded. Nothing from DR2 was used for any Rally1.

They did recordings this time, so. 😁
Is there a way to avoid anti cheat?
Why would you even want that?
Is that dlc?
Yes, the 2024 cars are from the Season Expansion.
@@noxnovaYT ok thanks
for me, sound toyota 2023 better than 2024 version
I love the new engine start sound, you can hear the exhaust roaring. I can listen to that for hours 🤣
23 mucho mejor
Don't lose your time with this game for kids. Try Richard burns rally ultimate RSF update
Dirt rally 2.0 the best sound
Dirt Rally 2.0 did not have WRC1 cars, so you can't really compare them. 😄
@@noxnovaYT Nor did DR2 have real cabin recordings. Mind you, some people like the fake cabin impulse response method.
Richard burns rally better real sound
No shot. Even FSmod can't match this
Only skoda r5 sound
