I wish he'd make more videos like that. Think he's done one or two in the past. A great one would be 2020's Fantasy Island as the first in a subset of "How To Win" videos
Seriously. People will say they are concerned about people for being in situations they themselves willfully caused. Accidents and mistakes are one thing, but that's not this 😬
Honestly, it would make sense if Clarrissa was a ghost. She sees him looking at her, and knows he can see ghosts. Stops him from getting the eye removed, which would solve his problems, and the more he interacts with her, the stronger the ghost got in general.
"Strong interaction" also makes a lot more sense for the "let's doink" approach, than "that'll scare him off". Probably her ghost dad who got screwed with an artificial heart or something and now she haunts the clinic and cleans up anyone coming out of there with bionic ghost-detection organs in some attempt to avenge and protect. Although a storyline like that would need a lot more fleshing out, which you obviously can't do in a short like this.
Bro, this series is kicking our ass, we keep losing to the VHS tapes a lot more than the average movie. Maybe longer movies give more opportunities to subvert the antagonist’s plans?
That's because shorter clips like these are what happens when there isn't any plot devices to protect the main character, the more realistic scenarios make surviving them supremely more difficult than in a long drawn out movie. Essentially what I'm saying is, monsters in these pieces of film will always go for the kill in the fastest way possible, as opposed to how movie monsters will kill any miscellaneous character quickly but stop to slowly choke the main character with one arm
Instead of just taping some kind of patch over the one eye or even just closing it after dark, he went straight to cutting it out with a straight razor. Smart dude.
That's amazing. Because of movies I always believed there was a 24 hour waiting period before you could report someone as missing. I never even checked into it.
Some police departments will say to wait 24 hours though, if you aren't absolutely certain they were abducted or something else life threatening is / was going on. The first 48 hours are the best shot to get or find a missing person.
It used to be but because of Brandon Swanson’s parents it’s changed, in all 50 states I think. And any police officers saying that either don’t know or are breaking the law.
@@darkerdaemon7794 The most (95 +% )KIDS going missing will be unalived within the fitst 1 - 4 hours. Then every hour the chances go down ~ 10 % every 2 hours. ( Not specially including a child dissapearing from a hike , tent site and got lost in the woods , but still there could be an overlap... Who knows if s.o. was stalking you. After 24 - 48 hours it's basically realised by first responders they need to bring scent and cadaver dogs in and look for a body , not a living person, depending on heat/ cold/ predators etc.
Two VHS segments have been adapted into feature length movies. Siren is a spinoff of Amateur Night (the one with the frat bros and demon girl) and Kids vs Aliens is an extended remake of Slumber Party Alien Abduction.
Another one can be found (sort of) when watching anime. Not making this up, the ghosts-only-target-those -who-interact gimmick of "Spookyvision" is the central concept behind the heroine of "Mieruko-san". Not 100% horror, but a good watch either way.
Having NerdExplains coordinate zombie attacks to then be disappointed zombie Mike offed himself instead of eating more people was definitely unexpected.
Pro tip: Ensure your own safety before trying to help others. Be aware of your surroundings and ensure to remain on guard until you are safe, then proceed to call for help - they will ask if you are safe where you are as well and will ask you to leave the area and anything in it untouched in the event of finding a body, so its best to get to safety first.
What if the real V/H/S curse is being the science team from Cabin in the Woods’ archival crew and having to watching recordings of their previous sacrifices?
I agree. Bringing the dog along only ended up with him alone at night in an isolated area with broken legs. Now due to their bad decisions, he will be im constant cruel pain for a long while.
Thankyou for making a point about the missing reports. So many rl cases could have been prevented/ had a less tragic result because of this. Civilians and law enforcement on both sides have screwed this over far too many times
Another great video. I would also like to congratulate on well balanced censure. Nothing that would cause problems is shown but at the same time we are aware of everything that hapened thanks to solid explenation. Great jobe.
I honestly love the zombie VHS. I would watch a whole hour long movie of a zombie’s POV from a camera, even if most of that hour is the zombie just idling occasionally or slowly wandering around
It was an extendable box cutter. If he was to hit the side of the blade even just lightly it would snap off. They come pre-serated so you can keep the sharpest part at the front.
I think this VHS is the best one out of the series so far? I liked all the stories, but the part where they have to break into someplace still is done by idiots? Yes, Tank should've been left behind especially, if the little scumbag was just going to drop him and turn the adorable Tank into a puddle of doggie-goo? I love hearing Nerd go in on idiot ppl!
Johnna had the best outcome, yeah he has a goat man monster for a kid, but a goat man monster that treats you like a father and has powers to do probably anything.

Hey nerd. Love the vids. Have you thought about doing “how to beat” for video games? Like tell tale walking dead, could be a neat change of pace since you’re starting to scrape the barrel for movies :p
I swear that last story actually p*ssed me upon viewing it that I actually wished instantaneous painful extinction on that fictional aliens' species; you don't ever kill a Dog! 🤣🤣🤣🤨
Thanks for giving the new viewers the heads-up about the last tape. First time I watched it without spoilers, I, as an owner of a small dog, was pretty shaken up. Although I should've seen it coming from the director that gave us the school bus scene in Hobo With a Shotgun.
The zombie story is understandable why they didn't survive. If you saw a body mangled in a biking trail you would try to help the person, especially when you realize the person is still moving.
I don't know what world you live in, but if I saw a mangled bloody body anywhere in the woods or near a hiking/biking trail, I'd be doing 1 of 3 things in any order. 1: Get my guard up because something clearly attacked them. 2: Use the concealed survival knife I try to have on me at most times in the wilderness (A lot of people bring knives for camping, fishing, personal defense, or any other completely normal reason.) to finish off the body if I saw it moving and couldn't get any vocal response beyond growls or grunts. Remember, sometimes people are on drugs and more hostile even when injured. You don't want to deal with a zombie or pissed off drug user that isn't going down. 3: Call the police to report a body in the woods, but also tell them to be on their guard because I'd have examined the finished off body and would have noticed the body has bite and claw marks that appear to be inflicted by a human or something similar. The universal sign for "Take no chances" is seeing someone covered in blood and bite marks. Especially when those marks are easily identified human teeth marks. Unless you have never experienced zombie media in any form and are somehow completely oblivious.
Kelsy Abbott is the redhead in this movie and she has some hilarious sketch's that she used to do back in the day, and she was friends with the Rick and Morty guys also because they would all do sketches together. Like one I just saw was called Googas by them. It's here on TH-cam and it's like 5 minutes long but it's funny.

It’s pretty much a matter of taste. People either hate it or praise it. I love it it tbh.

They are all terrible but in an enjoyable way
Waiting for 85
Bro, this series is kicking our ass, we keep losing to the VHS tapes a lot more than the average movie. Maybe longer movies give more opportunities to subvert the antagonist’s plans?
That's mostly a problem with the found footage genre as a whole. You can't find footage that never went lost, you know?
I think simply the plot is unwinnable in them, by the time the story starts its to late for our hero.
usually the antoganists are only nimbered up to 2 or so
Tbf most Found Footage monsters are reality-warping demons or unkillable creatures that can claw through solid steel and run at 100 miles a minute

That's amazing. Because of movies I always believed there was a 24 hour waiting period before you could report someone as missing. I never even checked into it.
I learnt it watching QI, the real answer for how long you have to wait is entirely dependent on how much you want them back
Some police departments will say to wait 24 hours though, if you aren't absolutely certain they were abducted or something else life threatening is / was going on. The first 48 hours are the best shot to get or find a missing person.
