That ammo jar in the kitchen gave me a good chuckle. I learned some good tips from this video. Thanks so much! I'm in seminole county myself. Good to see you doing it right! God bless!
Awesome video man. Love seeing handgun hunting exposed to the younger generation. Hope one day I can pass it along to my kids or younger relatives. How long have you been handgun hunting?
Its nice to see your daughter actually seems interested in what you doing. Not enough young girls or women into firearms and firearms related activities. Also nice to be hunting as a family Oh yeah i never hunted. I am sober as hell but as you were lining up your shot i found myself quiet the entire time😂😂😂
That was just some FMJ ammo from Sig because it was all I had on hand. I had just gotten the gun. Now I have some more options though. I think I’m going with some hard cast led from underwood next.
Nice, I’ve had mine for a year or so, going hog hunting this weekend and have the underwood 200 grain hard cast flat nose. I figured it would be the best for penetration as well… never tried hunting with it but gunna give it a shot
Either way for hog the sig 180 gr. Fmj is loaded to real 10mm velocities so it' no slouch and isn't loaded to 40 S&W velocities like alot of manufactures 10mm loads nowadays. @@OdomOutdoors
Awesome hunt alot around, curious how far that sig fmj penetrated or if it exited at some point, I do know that the Sig 10mm elite fmj is loaded to real 10mm velocities/standards.
I never found the bullet but to be honest I didn’t look for it. I was definitely satisfied with its performance though. It obviously did the job. Good affordable hot FMJ ammo.
Thank you. I forgot the brand name of them but they were expensive and we don’t really like them that much. I got them on a friends recommendation. For the money I think there are cheaper ones on Amazon that are just as good though.
@@OdomOutdoors you already have hearing damage and don't even know it. hearing loss also leads to an increased risk of developing dementia. not fun. it takes 2 seconds to prevent it. or wear active hearing protection if you need to hear animals while sitting in a blind.
@@destroyingdadxx2274you can hear if you have electronic automatic noise canceling hearing protection. With only two ears and very limited ability to restore hearing, I always keep my ears protected.
Never once had a complaint before and I cook at a firehouse for 13 guys. If my cooking was off they wouldn’t hold back about it. Maybe you don’t know what you’re talking about.
Great to see the whole fam involved 🙌🏽
Absolutely! That’s what it’s all about.
Love how you added the cooking into the hunting video. Could learn more on that
Thank you. We really enjoy the cooking aspect of whatever we get during our outdoor activities.

Thank you sir. Glad you enjoyed watching.
That's to make Bang Bang Shrimp.

Thanks. That was actually only my second handgun hunt but I really enjoyed it. Gonna have to do it more often.
Enjoyed watching the hunt and the biscuits and gravy looks delicious.
Well done👍
Thank you. Glad you enjoyed it.
Being a guy from the city, i really enjoyed this video!
Glad you enjoyed watching. Thank you.
Good stuff, buddy. Thanks for posting.
Thank you.

Ha! Ya it can definitely be a struggle to do things like hunt/fish with the kids but I think it’s worth it. Thanks for watching.
@@OdomOutdoors no problem
Very cool! I just wouldn’t be reholstering that close to my kid.
I'm coming to your place for breakfast! MAN, that looked good.
It’s hard to beat a good plate of biscuits and gravy for breakfast.
What kind of round did you go with, case hardened steel like the Buffalo bore type or expanding hollow point?

@@Cant_Stop-Wont-Stop0329 ya I agree. The sig 10mm was definitely on the hotter side. Good stuff.
Son almost boo boo’d his pants first shot. 😭 welcome to hunting my boy!
🤣 Yes he did.

4:46 it’s the baconator as a Wendy’s would say.
Awesome hunt and cook! What brand are those electric salt and pepper grinders? I'd buy them with an affiliate link lol

distance?
About 20 yards or so.
Light on it hunting gun ?
For hogs at night.
what holster were you using?
TR holsters. Mine is built for a pistol with a light but they will build them however you want. Good product.
Please tell me you are wearing ear protection for yourself and that child. I own that same firearm and they are very loud.
I wasn’t but everyone else in the family was. You can see my son put on hearing protection in the video.
G9 makes a 145 grain woodsman round moving at 1450 fps...
No hearing protection? 🤪🤪
The kids and my wife had hearing protection on. It was just me that didn’t. Probably should have but oh well. It was just one shot.
If you’re hunting you don’t have hearing protection. You’re trying to hear animals coming. Can’t do that with ear protection.
