- Today we are checking out another creative project within Super Mario Maker 2. And that my friends is "Super 4-2 World" made by 1-1. This 8 world, 40 level super world features 40 levels of the iconic 4-2 from Super Mario Bros...except that every level has a unique twist!

Chris is the reason I watch
If we get Maker 3 on the next Switch, the big change I want to see is the flagpole. I want to be able to move it, be able to have more than one, be able to change it size or orientation and have different colors or looks for it and be able to remove it if I have a clear condition so clearing the condition would finish the stage and lastly have a fake one that just vanish when you touch it.
Speaking of which. We should also be able to make a spawn point/starting point in a level to. And also be able to bulid in the start area like in SMM1 so yeah. I do agree with the goal movement tho
I’ll be satisfied with an SMB2 style.
If we have the option of a ? Mark ball or a big or small axe or a standard flag pole or a secret exit flag pole. Also exit pipes. If we could do warp zones.
That sounds nice, but if we do eventually get Super Mario Maker 3, I also want to see the following changes and additions:
1. More extra game styles (Super Mario Bros. 2, Super Mario Bros. Wonder, etc.)
2. More enemies (Chargin’ Chucks, Fire Bros. in all game styles, Boomerang Bros., Fuzzies, etc.)
3. More course elements (Scale Lifts, Sloped Semisolid Platforms, Chain-Link Fences, Paddle Platforms, etc.)
4. More course themes (Beach, Volcano, Mountain)
5. More playable characters (Princess Peach, Princess Daisy, Yellow Toad, etc.)
6. More power-ups (Mini Mushroom, Ice Flower, Bubble Flower, Mega Mushroom, Gold Flower, etc.)
If Princess Peach is going to be playable in the New Super Mario Bros. U style, then her playable assets from Super Mario Run could be adapted to work with the NSMBU style. Also, Princess Peach’s playable voice clips in the NSMBU style would most likely be the same as Peachette’s clips from New Super Mario Bros. U Deluxe. As for Mario and Luigi’s voice clips, I wonder if they’ll remain the same or if they’ll be re-recorded by Kevin Afghani to be consistent with the Super Mario Bros. Wonder game style. For Nintendo’s MAR10 Day 2024 presentation, one of Mario’s lines from the New Super Mario Bros. series was re-recorded by Kevin Afghani. That could possibly be a hint that if Nintendo does release Super Mario Maker 3, all of Mario and Luigi’s voice clips from the New Super Mario Bros. U and Super Mario 3D World game styles might be re-recorded by Kevin Afghani.

3:12 define "for babies" because there's still a good amount of enemies and hazards present; plus if the 'baby' was to be in the place of Mario, that makes it even worse. I'd say the level after that was moreso childproof than that or any other of these levels lol

The missing level COULD have had the flag missing if they were creative enough with magikoopa placement.
Also, that stacked level was very creative.
Edit: Also, that dark water level gave me an idea. We should start making inverse worlds where instead of but it's but . For instance, Bean Burrito but it's 1-1, 1-2, 4-2, etc. Other potential themes could be Troll but, Kaizo but, Speedrun but, etc.

The communication error is dumb. It 100% should have a Retry option, at minimum. And you'd be able to go out of the game to troubleshoot a network error (including being able to completely reset the network stac).
I feel bad for you for that network error. However, let's be real. You don't get better comedic timing than that.
21:48 In the normal 20 second version I think you were supposed to go through the green L-shaped pipe at the end of the normal world, which puts you at the green pipe near the flag, and isn't an option in the no bricks version because there's no floor for the pipe.

about this with rasing hand. I can if we talk remakes of the original SMB, but not if we talk the NES version of the game. I had the SMB Deluxe for my gameboy color. Cleared it alot when I was a kid. Both SMB1 and Lost Levels

Dave played the Slow and Steady level for so long that he managed to get it down enough to get the world record. It may not be optimized, but it's also not likely to be challenged since nobody will want to try and optimize that. X-D

Love the content, like the idea, but this creator has way too few ideas for these super worlds. Maybe he's got more in him, but he's holding back a bit here. That last one with the boxes was dull, the ones before it were just speedruns with either nothing added, or stuff taken away (and was a repeat anyway). I want this guy to PUSH himself, challenge himself to come up with more interesting twists. Play some Bufflin or something.
Maybe he turns it around in the next part, but if it's anything like his previous 1-1, I wouldn't expect it. He needs to really lock in on, maybe test some ideas out for a bit.
Just my view, not a great MM2 maker myself.
