Thank you all so much for watching!! You may like this video, too!! ❤ I talk about Diet Coke and other "rules" I break and still have seen great success with the no carb diet 😊th-cam.com/video/Lw1Zg--MFeo/w-d-xo.html
Hi Lisa :) Can you kindly share in a quick note, and "pin" it here exactly you eat all day? I know you eat a steak everyday and you have 2 patties from McDonald's... So can you share what you basically eat every day? Thank you!!! Mary :)
Hi Lisa, I am from the UK and only discovered your videos today. My goodness you speak some good old fashioned common sense. I have been carnivore for 4 weeks and the changes are near miraculous. I feel like I want to stand on a soapbox in speakers corner in Hyde Park and tell everyone about this diet. I am 74 and recently had a knee replacement. I was still struggling with pain. After just 4 weeks my pain is 90% gone and I can move freely for the first time in years. I can walk my dog for a hour at a time. You are certainly a beautiful woman both inside and out. May God bless you for spreading the news about this way of life. I have been taking medication for GERD for 12 years, I am taking NO MEDICATION now. I too started watching that lovely southern doctor I'm sorry I know his name began with B and I was bowled over that he wasn't selling anything and cared so much about his viewers. Please continue to spread the word. I know my WHY will sustain me 😁
Tomorrow is my third week on Ketovore. I am 63, during Covid I ate anything and everything. Of course I gained weight but even worse I felt just awful...every single day, sluggish, depressed and had to push myself through my daily activities. I have been watching Lisa and her journey and following Dr. Berry and others. I told my husband I would try it faithfully for 1 month just to see if I felt better. Day 3 this horrible bulging vein under my eye was gone and has stayed gone. I was shocked. Then after the first week...OH MY WORD I felt fantastic!! Like I was in my twenties again.I have lost 10 pounds and have not been hungry. The weight loss is an added bonus. I have not cheated and have had no desire to because I do not want to go back to feeling like I was. I will mostly eat meat but will eat green beans with my meal once a week and will eat a salad once a week. This has not been hard. I am not one for going around hungry and feeling deprived and I don't. I luckily only had one rough day with the sugar cravings then it was done. I am rambling but I absolutely cannot believe how great I feel. Thank you Lisa for sharing your journey :)
I've been carnivore for less than a month and I'll never go back to eating any other way. My issues are insulin resistance and inflammation related. I haven't felt this good in 40 years! Plus this simplified much of my life. There are just so many positive aspects and I appreciate your videos. They have really helped me get started. Thank you for sharing your experiences.
Your 'why' about IBS is spot on for me. I always try to explain to people (and of course it's a TMI issue) how debilitating IBS can be. EVERY aspect of life is affected and basically ruined. I'm in healthcare and almost had to quit my job because my entire thought process was how to not have 'issues' while treating patients. Every thought is on it, every decision about what you're going to do in the next hours or day revolve around it. It's exhausting and depressing. It's my big 'why' too.
When we're young it's all about how we look...when we get older it's about how we feel. Getting older brings some aches and pains that you never think about when your younger.
I'm so happy I came across your videos/ channel! You seem so genuine and caring. I'm in my 30's but I feel much older! My joints in my legs hurt. I cannot keep up with my husband and toddler. I no longer look forward to "dressing up" for work or special occasions. I need a change. I started carnivore yesterday! I did it years ago and lost 70 lbs. But after I got pregnant 4 years ago I fell off the wagon and gained it all back. I've since tried low calorie, Mediterranean diet , this that and everything. I really just need to get back to the basics. Simplicity is best. Can't wait to feel better! Love that you are at McDonalds and that you are a "real" person doing this! I'm running to Walmart to buy the thin ribeyes today. Thank you for encouraging me!!!
My “why” was getting off all medications. I was so tired of being sick and tired. Weight loss is nice but, it wasn’t my “why”. After 1yr I’m off all meds and have never felt better. I’m so great full for the videos I come across about the carnivore lifestyle.
I need to overcome carb addiction & lose lots of fat, but the mental clarity, absense of bloating and relief of joint pain alone is almost enough to be my why. 💯
I am so in agreement with you! I have been Ketovore 5 years in March. I don’t drink diet drinks but will have some monk fruit or allulose sweet items on occasion. My why is watching my Dad who is 85 years old and bed ridden because of being so overweight and joint issues. It is a lifestyle that both my husband and I share and are super strict about no grains, sugar or processed foods. I got started with Dr. Berry and Neisha. I just found your channel through fashion videos but am so happy to hear about your health journey as well. I understand your feeling of wanting to help people improve their health but most won’t do the hard work and want an easy button. At 65 I am at my high school weight and feel better than when I was in my 20s. IBS is crippling and joint pain was so debilitating and restricted my activities. You are beautiful on the outside and I am starting to see how beautiful on the inside as well!
I love your videos! I just wanted to say that I am a very strict carnivore but I drink wine still and I find it actually can put me into a higher ketosis when I test. And I think most people who have weight to lose have other problems. The weight is just so obvious You are such a great person I just love watching your videos ❤❤
My “why” is I don’t want to worry about having an “accident “ while I’m out shopping, at a concert, etc. Eating vegetables to me is like taking a laxative. If you’ve never had IBS, you’ll never understand!! I’m doing carnivore, and I feel like a new person! A side effect is I’ve lost weight. People have a weird look when I told them what I was doing. Now, they all are astounded and say I look better now than 15 years ago. I know Lisa what you are talking about. You ‘re “why” has to be very strong!!!
Lisa, I totally agree with you on the IBS. I know this is the reason and the only reason to start carnivore now. I am 70 and it is time to straighten out my stomach issues. When you talk about it you have read my mind. The IBS controls me. it not anymore. Thank you sweetheart, I’m so glad to have found you.
Lisa, you are amazing!! Thank you for being so honest, especially about your pre-carnivore symptoms. I, too, thought I had a tumor in my stomach because my tummy was so distended I looked 6 months pregnant before I started carnivore. I laughed when you said it because I thought I was the only one who thought that. Thanks for being my TH-cam sister.
You are super cute and I love your videos! I started carnivore 2 weeks ago and watching a ton of videos about it. I’m doing it to get my body working at its best so I’m not tired or develop any of the senior citizen health issues that most people just accept as a sign of aging. I have a 2 year old grandson (I’m 61) and I want to live long enough to see him have his own children, and I want to be healthy and energetic enough to enjoy them. I think that’s a compelling why! Thanks darlin for your videos ❤
Another wonderful carnivore video!! Such an inspiring topic…thank you!! Just finishing my 3rd week, no cheats, and I feel AMAZING!! IBS, hip pain all gone. At almost 54, I really have never felt better!! Documenting my journey on my TH-cam channel as well. Thanks, Lisa, for all you do ❤
So good!! Almost two week carnivore. No dairy except heavy cream. I went off dairy for three days. It was my one thing I love so much. I was miserable. And at this point felt totally not sustainable staying carnivore. So you telling how breaking rules and doing what works for each person is encouraging!!!! I know when I am more solid in carnivore I may try again to let heavy cream go. It does make me bloat and crave. And not burn fat as much. But it is worth it for now!!!!!!!
Hi Lisa, You are right. It has to be something deep in your core, because there are "those moments" that would cause a non-committed person to cave in and go back and get lost in the chaos of doubt. I have been there but because I truly know this is right, for me, i keep going when the going gets tough! Love my meat!! Wishing I could find a woman like you.
Hello Lisa, I am from Toronto, Canada. I have just started the carnivore diet plan. I too am a blond . I am a mature, petite woman. I have just started the diet and I am feeling much better already. I love the fashions you show and your make up tips. It has encouraged me to be bolder and experiment more in my style especially with color. Your hair advice for blonds is excellent. Your voice is easy to listen too.
I have been watching your channel for several months, but have just gone back to watch your Carnivore related videos. My husband and I have been eating Keto for over 5 years. Initially we started because we were overweight and not feeling good at all. My husband had been put on statins and didn't like how they were making him feel. We both lost over 30 lbs. Then, we felt so much better, we never went back. Occasionally we eat stuff that reminds us how yucky we feel when we don't stick with it. Of late, I have been leaning more towards carnivore. I struggle with IBS symptoms too, and when I eat mostly meat, I feel so much better. Thank you for being so open and honest about your journey. It is really great to hear this information from you. I appreciate you! - Michelle
Love, love this video! I’m ketovore, and I’m feeling so good. It has helped my menopause symptoms and anxiety so much🙏🏼 and down 22 lbs😊 I’m keeping it going. Thank you for being an inspiration to so many. We appreciate you 😍 I loved that the McDonalds girl recognized you on TH-cam 😃👍🏼
I was in tears watching this. I remember when you started carnivore and I was so intrigued. Back then my “why” would not have been strong enough but I think now my “why” is. I can’t remember a time in my life when I’ve ever felt this awful. No matter what I do. I consider myself to be a healthy person overall. I eat well, I take vitamins, I exercise every day, I’m fairly active. I have a beautiful family, a wonderful husband and a super happy marriage, I LOVE my job teaching kindergarten. But I am in pain every single day, I feel sluggish, I can’t make it through a day without taking a gazillion Tums. I’ve been SO sick with anything and everything: 3 back to back chest infections, stomach virus, throat infection, bladder infection ( so severe it took 3 different antibiotics to get it under control). I finally went to my dr ( who has known me for years) and we are now in the middle of running a bunch of tests to rule stuff out. It’s getting depressing feeling like this every single day - I just want to feel WELL 😢. They did find something in one of my ultrasounds and so now I’m booked for an MRI so we shall see but my point is I’m just so tired of being tired and unwell. I think my “why” is strong enough now to make the changes I need to make. I’m not sure if it will be carnivore but it will be something- I’m ready. You are such an inspiration to me Lisa - you really are. Thank you for being you ❤️🙏❤️ Xo 🇨🇦
My biggest why's are to be set free from life long food addiction, save my kidneys, eyesight, and feet from the ravages of type 2 diabetes, so it's dead serious, and I'm doing extremely well on a strict carnivore diet, thanks to people like you.
Lisa, Thank you for sharing more of the details about your health issues with IBS. While I do not have the IBS, some years ago I had a lot of fertility issues that caused me to feel a similar way. The bloating in my abdomen was so bad that I had to have a partial hysterectomy because of the fibroids. I had endometriosis most of my life. For the love of God, I wish I had known about the effect of food has on our hormones. I wish there had been better education about what our diet does to our bodies as young women. I was in fertile and was never able to carry a child. (And I did all the things.) I have been mostly Carnivore since 2020. It’s been up and down and I fall off of it a lot. But when I am compliant for weeks at a time, I feel wonderful! My blood sugar is balanced, I have the sense that I am empty but I’m never hungry. And I am thankful to know about the biology of the female body now and hormones. I was born in 1970 and have had years of trying to retrain my brain concerning eating fat in food. I am so thankful for where I am right now! And I’m thankful for you sharing this message about how important food is and how it affects a woman’s body. Thank you!
I’m so glad ❤you make these videos. It takes your time and energy. I appreciate your sacrifice and give you all my gratitude ❤❤❤❤❤… you are beautiful inside and out !!! ❤❤❤❤❤ thanks for helping us ❤❤❤❤
Thank you Lisa for your encouragement and information. I have just started carnivore. I had endometriosis and IBS by 14, uterus out at 26, fibromyalgia, rheumatoid arthritis, psoriatic arthritis and ankylosing spondylitis. And the 75 lbs I need to lose will help with pain. Thank you for your info and willingness to share!
❤❤❤Lisa thank you. I have been doing keto for the past two years…cheating every few days and sometimes daily for a period. Of course no real results. My why was to loose weight until I found you and this video. I now have my why to burn fat, get healthy, more energy, manage menopause…so many more important reasons which truly have kept me from not wanting to cheat! Granted it’s not about the scale as I truly only have 7 lbs but it more about the inches and all the health benefits, feeling amazing and gaining self confidence. 🙏 thank you! You are such a bright light and a genuine sweet, beautiful soul. Love all your videos especially the ones where you share your life, your opinion, your knowledge and just food for thought❤
Thank you, Lisa. You have been such an inspiration to me. I’ve lost weight, that’s not the only thing. I don’t have joint pain anymore. I’ve been carnivore for 6 months now. The criticism is terrible, but I ignore them and keep going. You’re simply the best! Thank you for helping me and others ❤❤
OMG! You touched on a subject that I go through all the time! IBS. It’s horrible and stops my life so many times. Can’t even enjoy what other people enjoy. I go out and fear that I’m gonna have an attack! It’s not such a great thing to have at all
Thank you for doing these videos! I've been low carb for a few years. Although I didn't have IBS symptoms, I noticed a huge difference when I ate any kind of sugar vs. when I didn't. It's not for everyone, and I'm so glad that you don't promote it like that, but I'm grateful that you share your experience as an example. There's a lot of misinformation out there about Keto and Carnivore, etc. ❤❤
I love your glasses and will be getting some. Me and my husband are in our 50s and we about to embark on the carnivore diet to aid in our health. I have been appreciating your videos on the subject. Thank you so much.
Thank you so much for your videos!! You are the person that turned me on to carnivore. My why is that my cholesterol was so high my Dr. wanted to put me on a pill. In 5 weeks i turned everything completely around with carnivore. All my bloodwork is now perfect including my thyroid test!!! OMG I’m so happy. Thank you Lisa!!!
Lisa, I'm cracking up about the fat free chips made with olestra 🤣🤣 my poor mom was so happy when they came out because she was a salt freak and loved chips! Needless to say it did not end well for her after she ate a whole bag of them😳 Your mental strength is so inspiring and you look amazing so please keep on talking about your carnivore lifestyle and bringing us great information 😘
You are SO right… it’s all about the why! I’m very fortunate I don’t struggle with my weight or with eating in a way that’s health and makes me feel good. What I do struggle with is exercise. I loath it. For years I’ve tried to force myself to exercise with my motivation being to tone up and look better. That motivation just didn’t cut it. I’m now a mother and my motivation to exercise is so that I can be a healthy, active mother for my family. It’s been a game changer.
That's a good motivation! Mine is to be strong and chase my grandchildren around. The regular exercise boosts my energy and improves my mental wellbeing.
THANKS for these video chats on your Carnivore lifestyle. Between you and Dr Berrys Monday night Live videos I’ve learned so much about a Proper Human Diet. My husband and I started eating KETOVORE Sept 2021 and Lost 20-25 lbs rather quickly. Your body will know when it gets to your optimum weight, and you really don’t keep losing weight. We’ve kept the weight off and feel the best we we ever have physically and mentally. I take no medicines. Only an organic Marine Collagen powder in my coffee. Low Carb eating has been the best thing we’ve done for ourselves.💟
I'm on day 3 of carnivore, and I just got two quarter-pound patties and I put two tablespoons of butter on them. Yummy. I thought I was going to die yesterday, I felt so bad, so I ate a pound of bacon, and I was blissful. The fat is the key!
Oh my gosh Lisa! When I lived in Seattle, I had horrendous stomach problem like you're describing. I would end up on the floor in fetal position with such awful cramps and pain. Come to find out, the gastroenterologist (after EGD and colonoscopy) said it was the Sobe drinks with Splenda. I could drink Diet Coke but not anything with Splenda. It's amazing how some things bother us and other things don't. This stuff is NOT in our imaginations.
I agree! I stopped eating carbs not for stomach issues. But after eating any breads or pasta I would have terrible brain fog and always need a nap. I haven’t had that in 7 months since I started my journey! I would never go back to eating carbs. It’s not because the way I look it is because the way I feel now. My only hope is that people would understand once you stop eating any processed high sugar foods the desire goes away and it is so much easier to eat clean healthy foods.
So glad you figured out what was bothering you i know that can be so discouraging after doing so well. Great video so happy for you. I'm on week 4 I'm doing keto and I love it feeling great and hoping for great benefits from inflammation and any other health issue sugar can cause.
❤Why? What I used to tell my clients that were wanting to lose weight is ask themselves WHY. Then I would have them ask why about 4-7 more times in order to go deeper and THEY DID!!! Sometimes they say they’d never acknowledged their final why as a reason and they would cry…happy tears!🎉. Go deeper with your why this way and you’ll get there. Be honest with yourself. You’ll get it.❤
This was such a helpful video!!!! and I did the same thing I would go to McDonald’s and get two hamburger patties with two pieces of cheese for a good while and then I was like I think I can totally handle one piece of cheese so I dropped down to one piece of cheese and a lot of times they’ll give me too, even though I just say one and I dip my hamburgers in mustard with lots of Redmond and it really adds a good enjoyment😊
This is SO True! Knowing Your Why! You have to know what motivates you or stimulates you to achieve something (motivation usually comes from inside and stimulation from outside stimuli). In my case losing weight to be thin was not enough. Physical examination (for police force) or fitness competition helped me to do get in shape I aways wanted. However another thing would be to sustain - have a diet & exercise that you can follow long term...altogether lifestyle to keep it...
OMG THANK YOU!!! Sorry for the long message. I couldn’t figure out was making me sick, it’s the Starry stuff. I’m diabetic and I was a bad diabetic, my worst signs of insulin resistance was when I went Vegan. Well I soon learned eating starchy vegetables and legumes was not good for trying to lower my glucose numbers. It was getting scary. I cannot do Keto because it allows triggering food for me to crave sugar. If ppl in the comments are familiar with the A1C you know how huge this is. At my worst… being a vegan my A1C was a 13 that was summer 2021, last fall I got it down to 7.0… just two weeks ago it was 5.7. I’m not sure if diabetics understand when you start your day with a high blood sugar number it’s doing the most damage to your organs. I lost my entire dad’s side of family, my dad did not make it after second leg amputation . Should inspire me, right? That’s how controlling food was for me, I almost lost my foot in 2017. Anyway, the bonus has been the weight loss, but the inches first. Honestly, it has been slow 2 years slow… until recently ppl have been pointing it out and clothes hanging off of me. I just didn’t realize. I did this for health, I’m happy my Endocrinologist supported me trying this after the Nutritionist way and Vegan was killing me. Me maybe no one else but me. I DARE ppl to judge or question me when your entire family is dead because of eating, let’s keep it real. Fruit is sugar, Rice is sugar, Oatmeal is sugar, Pasta is sugar, and Cereal is sugar! Diabetes is real and scary and carnivore and intermittent fasting is saving my life. The sweets craving is nearly gone, and my Endocrinologist said I could potentially be taken off my medications and insulin this year. I’m 51 and have been and uncontrollable diabetic since 26. I eat to live not live to eat. I’m so excited hearing about the Starry… it was depressing me, and I was about to cus out Dr. Berry. lol NEVER!
Lisa, this video is golden. Thank you. I also watch Neisha & Dr. Berry. I think he Has talked about these different sweeteners too. I’m so thankful you figured it out Hugs to the kitties. Jana - Texas
Thank you for this video. My why is still being defined. I think it is strong enough but I am not completely certain. I am at only 2 weeks of going to carnivore and I still slipped 3 times. However, next time I am faced with those temptations I will choose the right way. I am eliminating everything except for the carnivore foods and my stomach already feels SO MUCH BETTER! Also, I have joint pain due to a bad fall 2 years ago and now it hardly hurts. Again - thank you for this! I have loved watching you since you started doing videos and I feel like you are a friend. Blessings.
Thanks Lisa! My ‘Why’ is replacing bone strength due to severe osteoporosis. Have actually gained a few pounds, but hopefully that’s bone & ligament weight.
I'm also a carnivore but for the last 3 months have cheated with adding carbs. MUCH LESS than 'normal' people but DAYUMMM, I went from 125 to 140. Those little carb cheats destroy us.
Thank you for this video ! I’ve thought about Carnivore, I’ve tried it but this video showed me that my “ why” isn’t there ! I appreciate you so much for taking the time to share how you feel about it , that it’s not just a weight loss fix but truly a life style that might not fit everyone 😊I just adore you and all your videos , thank you and have a great day 🙏🏻🥰
I'm not quite ready to give up cooked vegetables yet. I too have IBS and there are a good handful of vegetables I'm Ok eating, but I am inching more and more towards a more heavily meat based diet. OMG when you started talking about how it ruins your life ..... having to plan your meals so carefully, not just the foid, but the timing. Nothing involving food can be taken lightly. Nobody else has any understanding of the gravity of the situation of needing to be near a bathroom after eating a meal. And not just that, I have to work hard at keeping stress levels low. Oh, it's very interesting to learn about Sucralose.. thanks! Oh it was si sweet to see your interaction with the employee who recognized you, thanks for keeping that footage 😉
Good Morning Lisa! Been so busy that I can't remember if I left a comment yesterday or not, but just wanted to thank you for this video! I don't have IBS but struggle with other issues and only Carnivore has helped me. Thank you for the alert on Sucralose! I would stop being in ketosis on a few diet drinks and now I have looked and yep! there it is! So now I have completely stopped diet drinks (my last hold-out). I have had a Sparkling water and am doing ok with that. Love all your info and generous transparency about your health struggles. ❤from GA
I think it’s awesome you share what works for you! I think it’s up to other people to take the information they want and leave what they don’t. Someone is always going to criticize - just keep doing you! ❤️
My "why" is to manage my perimenopause. The hormonal rollercoaster has started and I can't handle it. I have watched many videos on the carnivore diet and I believe this will help me.
Lisa, I know I may have commented before on this, but can't remember! lol! I began the carnivore lifestyle because my husband began losing weight on a more carb free diet so that he could avoid diabetic medication. And his numbers came down, and he does not need the medication! He also lost a good 20 pounds! Well, I got jealous! I wanted to lose weight too, so I began his carb free diet....what I noticed, was that my legs stopped aching at night for the first time in almost 2 years. I began to dread going to sleep because I knew that within 20 minutes, I would feel that aching feeling again. I have not had any pain since I began this way of eating. Full fat, fatty meats, no vegetables, no salads. I also noticed that my stomach was no longer bothering me. I couldn't believe how good I felt, FINALLY!! I didn't know what to do! And now, with the way I eat, or don't eat, I will NEVER eat the same as I did. I don't want the pain to come back, or the gas, or the bloating! And no, I haven't lost 20 pounds yet, but I know I will. People can mock me and lecture me all they want, but, I am no longer in pain. I feel this is an answer to prayer. Thank you so much for the "Y" analogy! I love it! Take care! Love, Jeanie
Yes, my mom and I have been carnivore for 1yr we just discovered the sweetener you are talking about is causing most of our problems. For the month of February we are doing BBBE and cut out all sweeteners. It's good to hear I might be able to add back diet soda in the future. Thank you for the great information 😀
I fault no o e for weight loss and changes and feeling better as a result. I do think ones why has to be solid for any lifestyle change long term. I love how positive you are, complementary to others you are and never bei g apologetic for being you Lisa. I love that so very much about you!!! 💗♥️🎶🎉😉
OMG!! I realized this VERY thing(Know Your Why) when I was your age!! (54 now) while doing keto and intermittent fasting! It was the 1st time in my life I was doing something DIETARY for reasons other than weight loss... I did really well for around a year and a half, but then had to go back to work and that kicked me off my routine... PLUS, my company caters lunch M-Thurs and that didn't help. I had been exercising every work day, too. Going back to the office just messed up my whooooole schedule and eventually I stopped and gained all my weight back PLUS all the bloating, muscle/joint pain, lethargy, etc..... EVERYTHING I'd lost came back! My husband and I just started the Carnivore diet a week ago and he's already lost 9 lbs.. I've lost 6. But I have more sustainable and CONSISTENT energy than I did even before on keto! And I've finally come up with a schedule I can work with. Yes, we both want and need to lose weight, but our REAL Why is to heal ourselves and feel better! BTW, found you while watching Dr Ken & Neisha Berry videos!! Love All of you!!😍😍😍😍
I finally figured out my "Why" in 2017 at 64 years of age. My highest weight was 270, and at 5' 6 1/2" was morbidly obese. I had tried so many thing along the way, because I had been overweight all my teen and adult years, with the exception of one year, after the birth of our second child, when I got down to 142. But over the next 4 years, I steadily gained, and by the time I got pregnant with number three was up to 185, then had one more child, and by the time he was 17, was at my highest. Oddly, I wasn't even pre-diabetic, I just felt S L O W. A friend with whom I worked started looing terrific, so I asked her what she had done. She was doing Whole Thirty which I thought was really restrictive, but I figured I could do anything for thirty days. Before I began, though, I thought about WHY I was doing it. I realized I did not want to die a long slow agonizing death, with my husband, or kids having to take care of me being so grossly overweight. I also didn't want come down with Alzheimer's, like my mother had done. So I did Whole thirty off and on for 14 months and lost 80 lbs. Over the next year and a half I allowed myself treats, though I only gained back 15 lbs. During Covid, hubby wanted to lose some weight, so we found LCHF, then Carnivore, and lost some more. I've now lost 90 lbs overall, and when I'm stalled, I remind myself I haven't gained back the weight I've lost, so I'm still keeping my WHY in front of me all the time!
I have to tel you I suffered from H- palori pylori twice treatment it was brutal & I had it on the left side of my intestines, my ribs are a bit sensitive since then, I thank God it went away, but I don’t eat gluten at all. Lots of water Diet Coke and Fresca which is great foe tummy. I lost 10 lbs in a month because of sickness, i started it working out with weights I gained muscle. I’m Size 2 or 4 119 to 122 lbs 5’6.5 .. I feel great I’m over 50. Thank you for sharing Lisa.❤
Thank you Lady for this Video. I have exact the same problems. My both grandma's, my mom and sister too. Our gut ist healthy without all the colorful and delicious stuff😢 But my health is the most important thing for me. I hold on. Greatings from Germany, Berlin from Isabell ❤
I have to laugh this way of eating been around for such a long time, now all these TH-camrs are getting on the bandwagon. I've been watching you for a long time, I know 100% your so sincere and walk the walk. I've been keto for 40yrs now carnivore 0 carbs. No coffee, soda zip and feel fantastic. It's about health not being put on meds. I love Dr. Ken Berry have his book it's great.
Hammer, didn't realize you did this due to having IBS? I grew up with IBS. I'm 60 now & back then Dr's didn't know what that was. Was constantly in hospitals. So many yucky things to deal with. Ended up getting ulcerative colitis and crohns too. Have since had my entire colon and parts of small intestine removed. (John's Hopkins). Funny too, you just mentioned Hashimotos and that's another thing I have. I gained 100lbs years ago within the year after a hysterectomy. Dr's refused to believe it was hormones back then. After 15 years, my new dr finally agrees thyroid off. Finally losing some weight. Also going to the 🏋️♂️. I have tons of aches and pains and issues, but the gym definitely is helping.
Lisa, I'm in remission rt now from Crohns, you're describing me al the way. The bloating in the belly, the legs an just d just feelin so tird and not wanting to anywhere. I'm 5ft5 and weigh 116 lbs, I'll feel better if I get back to 110 or 112, I feel like I weigh 160, I will try ketovore ist and then I'll probably go carnivore if I dont feel better. Thankyou for your helpful videos, you're a breath of fresh air! 😊❤️🌺
Oh my goodness... I have been keto/carnivore/OMAD since 2012. Game changing and health wise?? I had been diagnosed with PCOS and impending infertility and I switched to this and I will NEVER go back. My 3 kids always ask me why don't you eat cake, ice cream, bread etc... and I just said I don't like how I feel when I eat those foods and they carry on inhaling their bread. So happy to find a kindred soul.
I appreciate the sincerity, but am put off that since I do not have any bad health issues I am not fit for carnivore. Losing weight IS a major reason. It’s kind of insulting to be told it is wrong, to consider overweight as a major health concern, it is. I wish this topic was more inclusive.
I think there is a difference between wanting to lose weight and be skinny and wanting to be healthy so you can run around and play with your kids or be independent as you get older. I think that's what she is saying. There has to be a deeper reason in order for this diet to be sustainable. For example, if you talk to people who were once obese and kept their weight off they never speak about how they feel so much more confident. They speak about deeper things like feeling strong and independent.
@@arachnid33 Thanks for your thoughtful and kind words Cait Lin. Lisa’s video was the first time I heard about carnivore. She looks gorgeous, she KEPT the weight off with carnivore, and she says for her it is healthy! Is it healthy? Well thanks to her I then found Dr. Baker, Dr. Berry and Dr. Chaffee, and so many others who stay on carnivore for peak health and performance. I don't want people not to try carnivore or to make others feel bad for wanting to lose weight. I do not have any health problems, no meds, I’m healthy but I am overweight and I’m not young. It is REALLY HARD to lose weight. I don’t want to get these awful illnesses and it feels horrible to be overweight. I love that Lisa brought her scale on vacation, it shows how much the weight loss meant to her, like it does to me. And it is ok to want to improve our appearance, after all, we watch her youtube about fashion and makeup.
Hey hon, love your videos and don't let people get to you. You do you, I do me, and I'm unapologetic! Watching you from my London house where a friendly, beautiful southern lady like me needs to hear a familiar voice. My husband is here but he is British and I love him, but I'm sure you know what I mean.
Thanks for another inspiring video. you mentioned your highest and lowest weight my highest weight was 172 and my lowest was 86 pounds... as a 55 inch tall person, I was morbidly obese at 172... I am again Obese Class 2 at 146 pounds... Five years trying to be Carnivore now... I keep breaking down... I am a carb-addict... I have not been able to offend my friends by not eating "normally" when going out for lunch with the girlfriends. So... I am an utter failure because my "why" has not been strong enough. With extreme insulin resistance, even when keeping strictly to Carnivore OMAD, I do not lose any weight... it is so dis-heartening... Now I am trying to fast so I can lose some weight before I die...
Spot on! The ‘why’ has to be right and the absolute motivation. My ‘why’ was being diagnosed with type 2 diabetes. I was overweight but not by a lot. I was determined to reverse my diabetes with diet and not go on meds. I first went low carb..still craved carbs and would fall off the wagon from time to time but I did get my blood sugars down to a really good level. My doctor was thrilled. But I hated that I still craved carbs so I went Keto. Like you Lisa I too had suffered from IBS most of my life and it was especially bad with almonds and peanuts which I loved and I was finding salads and vegetables were also the culprits. So nearly a year ago after being inspired by you Lisa, I went Carnivore and did intermittent fasting and hallelujah what a wonderful thing it is! I find it super easy, not stressing over food. I stopped having carb cravings because I was a carb addict even a small amount had me craving for more. The weight just fell off which wasn’t my purpose for it, but it was a bonus, I haven’t been this weight since being a teenager. My blood pressure which was creeping up is now absolutely excellent and I feel great. No more IBS! No more diabetes! My sugar levels have been that of a non diabetic now for quite a few years so I don’t even say I am diabetic or have diabetes. But I do know it will come back again if I go back to the high carb, high sugar diet I used to have. So I agree with all that was said in this video. ❤
Sucralose gave me ocular migraines. There’s a published case on it (for at least one woman). No sucralose, migraines gone, messed up once and it came back.
Lisa what stood out to me in this video (since I’m not on the carnivore diet) is how kind you are to others. You likely made that McDonald’s employee’s day! That was so sweet of you. We never know what someone is going through and it’s not difficult to be kind and give someone a compliment. You are awesome!♥️
Great video! My why is to feel strong and fight joint pain. Unfortunately, my cholesterol started to climb so in order to avoid taking a statin, I'm doing a Mediterranean diet and exercising more. Everybody has to do what's right for their body. You have helped SO MANY, Lisa! 💐
Sucralose is what's in Splenda. It was first meant to be an insecticide until, by accident, they found out how sweet it was. Then they decided to make it as a sweetnew for humans cause it'll make lots more money. Look it up. When I read about that, I immediately threw away a bag of 300 Splenda envelopes I had at home. I started using Stevia instead.
Thank you all so much for watching!! You may like this video, too!! ❤ I talk about Diet Coke and other "rules" I break and still have seen great success with the no carb diet 😊th-cam.com/video/Lw1Zg--MFeo/w-d-xo.html
Zevia Cola has a no sugar (sweetened with stevia)or calories but will give you caffeine. Try it if haven’t, you may like it. It is delish.
That's amazing, Christie!! Thanks for watching!🥰🥰
That’s awesome! I just started and I’m loving it.
One of the best things you did was eliminate sugar. That and the processed foods ... life changing. Good job!!!
I didn’t think you were rambling!!! I enjoyed reading every word! So happy for your success! You’re just another example of what’s possible! 💜
I craved Beef Oysters and pineapple when the big c hit
My husband knees were so bad it felt like bone on bone. He had prayer plus went on carnivore
He can walk now without pain.
Amazing!
WOW
The weight is just so obvious
You are such a great person I just love watching your videos ❤❤
My “why” is I don’t want to worry about having an “accident “ while I’m out shopping, at a concert, etc. Eating vegetables to me is like taking a laxative. If you’ve never had IBS, you’ll never understand!! I’m doing carnivore, and I feel like a new person! A side effect is I’ve lost weight. People have a weird look when I told them what I was doing. Now, they all are astounded and say I look better now than 15 years ago. I know Lisa what you are talking about. You ‘re “why” has to be very strong!!!
💯 Relate to you! 👍
I love your interaction w the lady at McDs. So cute 🥰
Thank you!! 🥰 Lisa
Thanks, Lisa, for all you do ❤
Wow…..I’m starting to try and get over this hip pain and migraines. What is it with the hip pain ??!!! Goodness
@@Ketovore-Karen it’s from inflammation, likely caused from eating sugar, processed foods and junk
Love that! 🥰🥰
@@LisaLisaD1 one thing I’ve been noticing the last few nights is that my fingers get puffy at night and in the morning. Did you ever have that?
@@feliciannurse No, but it may be part of the process?! You will feel better and better!! 🥰 Lisa
Hi Lisa,
You are right.
Love that so much, Ida! and thank you!💓
I was in tears watching this.
Thank you for being you ❤️🙏❤️
Xo 🇨🇦
Tammy Roy, I'm praying for you. I hope your health improves quickly. ♥️
This is so true. I'm carnivore too. Healing comes first then, weight loss. Thanks for the video!
You are so sweet, smart, polite, and a big inspiration ❤👏
Thank you so much!! ❤ Lisa
Thank you!
Thank you, Lisa!! You have been through a lot! I hope you are feeling better and better! 🥰 Lisa
This lady just warm my heart Brooke just a lucky girl to have a mother like you beautiful inside out ❤
I’m so glad ❤you make these videos.
Thank you for watching, Anita!! I think this will help!! 🩷 Lisa
Thank you so very much!! 🥰 Lisa
...another win - appetite control - fully satiated - keeps me in check easily - I want for nothing
I love your car vlogs Lisa, it’s been ages! X
I get so excited when I see a car vlog from you! ❤
OMG! You touched on a subject that I go through all the time! IBS. It’s horrible and stops my life so many times. Can’t even enjoy what other people enjoy. I go out and fear that I’m gonna have an attack! It’s not such a great thing to have at all
Thank you, Annette!! 😘 Lisa
Thank you for sharing this. I love your channel so much! You are one my favs carnivores❤️
Love it!!🥰🥰
Lisa, I'm cracking up about the fat free chips made with olestra 🤣🤣 my poor mom was so happy when they came out because she was a salt freak and loved chips! Needless to say it did not end well for her after she ate a whole bag of them😳
Your mental strength is so inspiring and you look amazing so please keep on talking about your carnivore lifestyle and bringing us great information 😘
haha yes! Thank you so much, Steph!🥰
Love that, Kathryn!!🥰🥰
That's a good motivation! Mine is to be strong and chase my grandchildren around. The regular exercise boosts my energy and improves my mental wellbeing.
My why is to heal my IBS and migraines. So far so good!
Trying to combat the migraines as well…….they are so bad during menopause because hormones are my trigger
There is a citrus soda made with stevia. Brand name Zevia. It is what I recommend to my patients with stomach issues.
Thanks!!🥰
You so right Feeling good is the Biggest Daily Motivation 👍👍👍
Just found you, my story exactly from 2017…I just tell people I eat what I want, when I want…76 years old and thriving never even WANT to cheat
So glad you figured out what was bothering you i know that can be so discouraging after doing so well. Great video so happy for you. I'm on week 4 I'm doing keto and I love it feeling great and hoping for great benefits from inflammation and any other health issue sugar can cause.
Yep. I remember the awfulness of IBS. People think your nuts unless they’ve been through it. Thanks for the tips!
You’ll get it.❤
You are so on point Lisa! I just wanted to lose weight but it definitely wasn't the why I needed to succeed. Thank you for sharing that!
Berry. lol NEVER!
Wow! Congratulations!
Lisa, this video is golden. Thank you. I also watch Neisha & Dr. Berry. I think he
Has talked about these different sweeteners too. I’m so thankful you figured it out
Hugs to the kitties.
I love how nice you are to the fast food workers. I think they work so hard. Now to watch the rest of the video…
I'm also a carnivore but for the last 3 months have cheated with adding carbs. MUCH LESS than 'normal' people but DAYUMMM, I went from 125 to 140. Those little carb cheats destroy us.
Yes, not cheating on this one!! 🙈💕 Thank you, Karinya! 🥰 Lisa
Your carnivore videos are the best of all of your videos. Thanks
Thank you for this video ! I’ve thought about Carnivore, I’ve tried it but this video showed me that my “ why” isn’t there ! I appreciate you so much for taking the time to share how you feel about it , that it’s not just a weight loss fix but truly a life style that might not fit everyone 😊I just adore you and all your videos , thank you and have a great day 🙏🏻🥰
Finally had a chance to sit down and watch this. Great video and I agree about the "WHY".
Exactly!🥰 Thanks for watching!
I love the way you do your eye makeup. 😊
Thank you!🥰
YAY!! Thank you for sharing that with us!!! 🩷 Lisa
Size 2 or 4 119 to 122 lbs 5’6.5 .. I feel great I’m over 50. Thank you for sharing Lisa.❤
Amazing, thanks for watching, Leila!🥰
You are the BEST, Lisa!!!!!! Thanks so much for yet another great video!
Thank you!
You look amazing. You have inspired me to make the best of my life. I discovered intermittet fasting. Love from germany ❤
Thank you so much!! 💗 Lisa
I only eat animal foods and dark chocolate, a little lemon juice and diet coke. At the same time, I lost a lot of weight and my stomach became flat
Thank you for your honesty and your heart ❤
Thank you for watching!! 😘😘
Thank you so much, Julie!! I do miss eating nuts!! 🥰 Lisa
Sucralose gave me ocular migraines. There’s a published case on it (for at least one woman). No sucralose, migraines gone, messed up once and it came back.
I just found your videos a couple of weeks ago. I love them so much!! Thank you!!
Thank you!
Lisa, I totally understand about surculose. It gives me terrible headaches so I definitely steer clear of it. Thanks for this video! 😊
Thank you for that, Holly!💓
You’re so encouraging. Thank you. ❤
My "why" is to be healthy. I am Carnivore and watch Dr. Berry. I don't eat any processed foods.
Amazing, Jeanette!!🥰 Thank you!💗
Sucralose and ace-K cause horrible bone pain and tendon pain for me. The fat blocker that gave everyone the trots was Olean.
You are amazing! Thanks for this Lisa🌸
