If Penix came out of college healthy I would give him better than even odds of being the best of this draft class. 2 blown out knees (ACL) though amid his 4 ( FOUR! ) season ending injuries, and his age, make his ceiling pretty low unless he shows remarkable change in his ability to remain healthy. Still, I like the kid and I'm pulling for him.
He has remained healthy for the last two full seasons

It doesn't change the prior injuries, which can bring an increased risk of re-injury ( 25% is the mean a study has shown within 22 months of being drafted ) Compare that to 9% +/- 2% of non injured players. That's not insignificant. As I said, I'm pulling for the kid, but as a former multi-sport athlete with an ACL MCL tear when I was 17, at 58, I can feel it like a mofo.

@@Funky_Ghost He gets at least 2 years to rehab, he will be fine. That's at least 4 years since his last injury. The Falcons wouldn't draft him if they thought his injuries were a problem, and if they are smart, they won't let him get hit in practice. He has time to rehab and possibly get any necessary surgeries to clear up those injuries since the Falcons don't really need him to be available.

I think the Bengals would be interesting. Losing Callahan means their offensive theology could change ( I don't think so, but you never know ) Boyd possibly ending up in Tenn ( or L.A. ) means they lose about 700 yards and 4 - 6 TDs a year from the slot. Of course that's hard to replicate in this version of Madden but still interesting to think about.

I think a good fantasy video to do: add the steel curtain Steelers, 85 bears and the great show on turf to the game and see if they dominate.. look up the correct playbooks from their eras and see if they can hold up to modern nfl players

I think he will do slightly better with Atlanta I like that overall he has a o line with a run game over just 2 good tackles and no run game to hold leads or grind time of the clock

Penix hasnt taken a snap in the NFL so it's impossible to rate him in Madden. I'd like to see where Madden rated Justin Fields his rookie season.
